Dear Advance Pump & Filter, I wanted to express my sincere thanks to your company and especially the excellent technicians who recently responded to our house for a difficult situation involving our water system. Waking up with no water is not the way that one wants to start a day. Having relied upon your filter services in the past, your company was first on our list of folks to call when this unexpected situation happened to us. Your technicians were there in very short order, made a quick diagnosis of several difficult issues, and offered several options to get us back to having clear healthy water. They were thorough in checking all parts of the system, explained things so that even a home owner could understand, and gave us the several options without any "sales pressure". This was a very refreshing experience, to have such well-qualified and kind service men helping us out with our water problem. Unfortunately for us, we were experiencing a multi-system breakdown: the pressure switch, pressure tank, and the electrical harness for the pump were all failing and decided to conspire to fail all at the same time. I had planned to replace the 25+ year old pressure tank within the year (praying that it would get us through another winter), had suspicions that the switch was starting to fail too, but was unaware of the poor condition of the wiring harness. Your experienced technicians thoroughly explained all matters, made a quick fix to get us some water for the night, and returned promptly the next morning to complete repairs on all parts of our water system. Given the age of our well pump, we had it replaced at the same time - what better timing when we obviously had some good well-trained & very experienced technicians at our disposal! We now have a new pump, harness, tank, switch, and all appropriate accoutrements have been likewise updated to the most recent standards. We have faith that we will have clean, healthy water for years to come - and know without a doubt that if we do have any questions, concerns, or even another emergency with our water system that we will call Advance Pump & Filter. I called Advance Pump and Filter and received the answering service or office and explained the problem that we were having....no water. Within a very short period of time I received a call from Craig with Advance and proceeded to let him know that there was no water and what should I look for. Craig was very courteous and helpful and suggested I check some of the basics relating to the breaker and if I had tried the pressure switch to activate the pump. The advantage I have was I work for a Rep in the Plumbing and Heating world and used to work at a Supply House in Portsmouth years ago and have some decent mechanical capabilities. Craig picked up on this and had me run a couple of electrical checks and helped narrow this down to a possible bad winding in the pump. I mentioned that I might go grab a new pump at a local Supply House and put this in and told him I appreciated his help. Craig then told me to call if my plan changed and that he would be able to come by in the afternoon on this day (Saturday). I very quickly decided that I did not want to deal with this and called Craig back and he said he would be over in the afternoon. To try to help out I ended up pulling the pump out of the well and then cutting the pump off to help speed things up when Craig arrived at our home. Craig showed up and was a true professional and speaks very highly of the owner of Advance and the company. I have to say that this is not the norm as I'm constantly hearing contractors complaining on where they work so it was refreshing to hear that from an employee. Craig moved with a quick pace and was in/out in a very short period of time. I had used three or four water filtration companies over the years and was never satisfied. I have an extremely high iron in my well water. I found Advanced Pump and Filter and they were able to modify my existing system and my water quality has been very good ever since. Because the iron content in my water is so high I needed frequent maintenance and part replacement which is overwhelmingly expensive. I just recently decided to have them replace my existing system and install a new one to take care of the iron. So far, my water tastes and looks great and the maintenance is only once a year and a fraction of the cost. Of course the system was much more money but you get what you pay for. I can't even begin to describe how happy we are with Advance Pump & Filter's service. In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, our well control box blew up and we were left without running water. Not only did the company reply immediately to our call, they sent out a technician who fixed the problem so quickly, all while observing careful safety protocols in light of the pandemic and its social distancing requirements. I truly can't speak highly enough about Steve at Advance Pump and Filter. I had an issue with a UV sterilizer with a solenoid valve at my house. The bulb for the filter blew out and the solenoid stopped all water coming into the house. Because the UV bulbs are on backorder from the supplier (I verified with the supplier and multiple other shops) this was not going to be as easy as getting a new bulb. Steve was kind enough to walk me through shutting off the solenoid over the phone after I emailed him some pictures of the setup. He truly saved the day so that we can at least have some running water in the house until the bulbs come in. I will be doing all of my plumbing/filter work with them in the future. I had a replacement water softener installed recently and I was very pleased with the way I was treated from quotation to installation. The quotation was fair and comprehensive and the specialist was very patient with all my questions and suggested alternatives. I felt they really cared about my situation and wanted to provide me with the best solution. The day of instalation the installer arrived on time, were very professional and polite, and installed promptly and cleaned up and removed the old equipment. We had our water tested before contacting APF(knowing it wasn't great from a drilled Well). We had a drinking filtration system and did not realize it only filtered out one kind of arsenic. We have had several health issues and staining everywhere. APF explained the 2 different kinds of arsenic, the smell and the staining. We had our water tested after they installed what they suggested, and nothing measured on the charts. Health issues are gone, as well as staining and smell. I contacted Advance Pump & Filter (APF) to get a second opinion as to why our water pump was kicking on/off constantly. The first estimate we received (from a plumbing company I will leave unnamed) could not figure out how to repair the issue, and then told us we needed a brand new pump system (which they priced around $3000). APF came out and determined that all we needed was a water tank pressure switch & PSI adjustment (which cost us roughly $350). It's obvious that the folks at APF are good, honest people, which means everything to us --- If I could give them 6 stars, I would! read more

Had new well tank, water softener, and odor filter installed. Technicians were very professional and thorough. My problem was sulphur odor from an old green sand filter that was at end of life.
