They arrived at 9am, just like they said they would. The two movers cleared our apartment in just 20 minutes! They did everything without instruction; they knew what they were doing! They took the couch apart successfully for an easy move, they had a rolling dolly for the cabinet and armoire... We had to pickup an item on the way to our destination, they were happy to do so. They arrived to the location before us and immediately began to move the piece into their truck; they don't waste time! Everything was delivered to our new home in perfect condition. They handled everything with care and placed our items where we wanted them in our new home. I'll surely recommend them to anyone in need or a small or big move and I'll definitely be using them again in the future. (Thanks for the housewarming gift, A Smart Move!)

My dad was relocating from Denver to England for a few months and there were a few larger household items that needed to be moved. Like any smart shopper, we called a few reputable places and of course, pricing was on the steeper side. With Sunset, we were given an affordable price point for their shipping and handling service. On the day of the move, Sunset's staff arrived on time and engaged with us throughout the entire process. They packaged my dad's belongings carefully, sometimes even adding extra bubble wrap!! That extra step in reassuring us of their professionalism really set a good first impression. Thank you Sunset for your help! From coaches, TV, wall hangings, desks, tables, lamps, everything destroyed. There were plenty of red flags along the way, but because he was cheaper AND referred by a friend, we decided to use him against our better judgement. The whole experience from start to finish was a disaster. After I sent him MANY of pictures of all of the damage, he said he was going to make it right. He admitted fault and promised he would do the right thing. A year and a half of empty promises, and still nothing. He has come up with every excuse in the book of why he hasn't done anything yet, and because I am a reasonable and compassionate person, I have given him plenty of time to do the right thing. I am done, and it's time to let the world know what a crook he really is. I hope that you heed this advice, run far away from this man. As the owner of a home staging company, I've completed hundreds of moves and have worked with many moving crews and companies over the years, and Direct Movers is by far my favorite. They are flexible, friendly, always willing to take on a challenge, and exceptionally fast and hardworking. I even had my baby daughter with me on many jobs, and they were always wonderful with her. I've had some major issues arise on projects--situations that would have caused other crews to walk away--but Alberto always found a solution. His response was consistently, "It's no problem." That level of professionalism and can-do attitude is rare. On top of all of that, their pricing is very reasonable. Alberto may be a little quiet at first, but once you get to know him, you'll find he is genuinely kind and a pleasure to work with. This company is truly a hidden gem. If Alberto and his crew are available, I would absolutely recommend hiring them.

I would like to say however that Rachel at Galt was spectacular. I give her 5 stars. Mike (who I believe is the owner is a real jerk). Moving is stressful. Moving is expensive. When I called Galt I was blown away by how great and accommodating they were. How inexpensive they seemed to be....UNITIL THE MORNING I WAS MOVING. I called and got Mike on the phone-I believe he is the owner. I called to let them know that I would need help with a touch of packing because I couldn't get through it all. I also wanted to confirm pricing. He stated that a 6 man team with two truck would be there all day. I said, huh, thats not what we had discussed. I referenced the conversation I had remembered. At this point I started asking more questions, as this was starting to feel like these guys had way underquoted to get the job and it would end up being SUBSTANTIALLY more than originally promised. I began asking clarifying questions about charges to which Mike became defensive, aggravated and annoyed--completely different guy then I had booked the job with.....and responded, "Ma'am, Im staring to feel uncomfortable about this"...given the fact that I was under the gun to move as my home was being sold, this comment upset me....Like, what, is this guy about to cancel on me same day?! He then got aggravated, started making countless references to canceling the job--That I was misremembering what was said. That perhaps we should "go our separate ways." I was obviously upset. I was simply asking for clarification on charges and all the sudden my move is being cancelled?! Mike then "politely" informed me that he would send a crew so long as I "paid with certified funds. Cash or cashier's check" I said, what? is this customary. Do you require "certified funds" from all your customers? He said, "no, just our combative customers." Jaw on the floor. was he serious? I ended up getting same day move with "all my sons." they were up front with pricing as well as incredibly accommodating.
