Initially was good since they messaged me when they would arrive but then they missed the window and instead of calling me before they missed the pick up window they called me literally after expecting if I was still available. Unfortunately, I can't wait around all day. I value my time and everyone else's time, so I do not appreciate my time being wasted for nothing. I don't know why they even make a window for arrival you might as well clear your whole day so you can wait on them!! Told me 8-10am so I got to the storage at 8am. They call at 9:00 to confirm the address and I ask for an ETA and he says should be 2-3 hours?????? I ask about the window since I pushed starting work to 11am so I thought that window gave me time. Two young men came to our house to deal with a small refrigerator, lots of boxes of old business documents, and a large metal file cabinet. They were charming. Both of these men, Kenny and Serapio, were kind, friendly, hard working and it was obvious that they are genuinely wonderful men. They were scheduled to arrive at about 8:00 a.m., and a little before 8:00, my husband took a phone call. Kenny said they were on their way, but were going to stop for a quick breakfast donut. Kenny asked if he could bring us each a donut. We did not let him, but we were charmed by his cute, thoughtful attitude. They arrived within 15 minutes, got to work, never complained about the junk we'd ask them to carry up a flight of stairs from our basement, and generally were fun and engaging during their entire time at our home. This is the second time we have used 1-800-Got-Junk, and I honestly believe the owners of this business have learned the trick to hiring the best, most efficient, most reliable, kindest men. I just can't with these people! I used them about 2.5 years ago when we absolutely had to have a fridge removed that day and it was over $200.00 just to remove the one fridge (when the dump removed two fridges AND a ton of other garbage for a little over $200) . I should have remembered how overpriced they were! Plus, they wanted a tip too lol! Firstly, don't tell me on the phone that it would "most likely" be around $485 for a hot tub removal and then send your high pressure sales people out with their binder of THREE DIFFERENT prices for THREE SEPARATE SERVICES. One for the actual removal cost of $785, one for labor $150 per hour and another for the disposal itself, which was around $700 for a grand RIDICULOUS total of nearly $1600!!! Umm, NO WAY!!!!! I even told them I got a solid quote from a hot tub removal company for $785 TOTAL and they couldn't seem to believe it. At this point I think I'll take a saw and cut it into 4 pieces and put it out for the dump to pick up for under $150 bucks! Absolute ROBBERY! read more

Too bad Yelp doesn't allow Zero star ratings because the help I got from 1-800-Got Junk doesn't even rate 1 star. Scheduled a pick up for a large bed frame. Got the standard (and dreaded) 2-hour window. It was gonna be tight because I had a 4:30 appointment. Well, you guessed it, they were late and I had to reschedule with the driver ... 1:00 the next day. I'd received both telephone and text confirmation of the first appointment but heard nothing about the new one. After the verbal 1:00 appointment was missed I called to understand when they'd come by. Again, got the standard 2-hour window. Now it's almost 5:00 ... 1 hour after my pickup window and I'm still waiting ... 5:00 and still waiting. No phone call. No cancellation. Called at 6.30 and my new pickup window is 6:30-8:30. OK you guessed it, they NO SHOWED for the 3rd time. They conned me into thinking they'd actually be working early evening. I'll NEVER CALL 1-800-GOT JUNK again! read more

The two workers were professional and no issue but price is not worth it. For picking up a single 50inch flat screen, they charged 169 dollars. Best buy charges a flat 59.99. The truck was already loaded with other items coming from a location less than a mile from my pickup. I called the main 1-800 number and inquired about the price when on average a single item is around $79. I was told she would have someone to call me in a day but only received an generic email. I replied to the email inquiring again if they felt that was a fair price to only receive another generic response about the cost container training of staff, etc. This pickup was for Highlands ranch Colorado. I had to empty out a rental property of trash, broken, furniture and personal items. I called 1800gotjunk. They came out looked at the job and quoted me over $4,000. When I said that was out of my budget, they changed the price to $3,300. I told them that was still beyond what I wanted to spend. He then said $2,672 but only if I did it right then. I told him I wanted to get other quotes. I was able to bet the job done the next day for $800 from Junk King. read more

SERVICE MEMBER BEWARE; On October 21 I telephoned 1800 got junk. I spoke with a representative with respect to the removal of a side by side refrigerator. I further explained there would be no moving of the aforementioned item as it was a garaged refrigerator and the homeowner would move this item to the lower level driveway. The representative quoted a $99.00 removal fee. A time allotment between 5-7 p.m. was scheduled for pick up. I offered to pay over the phone with a credit card and I was told the driver would have a way to take a credit card upon removal. The truck arrived and as promised the item was at the end of the driveway waiting for removal. There were two young men and one had a notebook in his hand and let me know the fee was not $99.00 that is would be $179.00. I explained to the man, the quote was for $99.00. He said that the office I called is not even in Denver and that the "phone quote" was for a Canada price! I should have called the Denver office. I let him know I called 1-800-Got-Junk as it is advertised on the side of his truck in Big Bold letters! I further let him know that I was not paying more than what was quoted by the representative over the phone and the verbal agreement was/is a binding contract and the pricing needed to be honored. He let me know that the office makes an error in quoting quite often and they should not have told me that. I let him know I was calling the Got Junk Office and they would confirm the $99.00 quote. After dialing the number the "got junk" representative answered and confirmed that the quote to pick up the refrigerator was indeed $99.00. The pick up men explained that is not the correct price however, they will honor the quote and haul my refrigerator off. After the men left I proceeded to contact the office of "got Junk" and questioned their shady practices. The phone rep explained she was not sure why they were trying to charge me almost twice the amount. She further explained while there are various offices, they knew the location of pick up by the address and the pricing was in no way related to Canada pricing, she is unsure of why I was told that. Folks Be aware of the bait and switch. I plan to report this practice to the authorities. This does not seem right and feel a touch illegal. WARNING! If you live in a West Denver suburb, your location may be treated by this company as a "Mountain Location". They then charge you an additional $450+ dollars for their service. They first loaded two carpet runners in a small truck, and it took less space than a refrigerator and weighed much less. Then they told me their fee was $750 for two carpet runners. That was much more than their online prices, and Nathaniel and Ryan told me it was higher because I lived in the mountains. (I live 1 mile west of C470, and they said mountain locations are determined simply by Zip Code. But, although they agreed that an additional $450+ was a lot to pay for 1 mile, their prices were fixed by corporate!) So, I called the corporate 800 number, and the customer service person told me they were an international company with operations around the world and even in Australia. He said they couldn't be "bothered" with Zip Code pricing in Colorado. read more

We will share our experience. They quoted us $750 for our junk, which we said that's too much and we'll just get a dumpster. They then said " We'll remove what we can today for $260, and go ahead and sign up for annual membership for $249 which will give you 2nd visit totaling $509, which is a better deal". We said OK. They hauled away only our patio table and chairs/cushions on the first visit because they didn't have much room in the almost full truck. Well, they no showed on scheduled 2nd pickup date, then came the next day after a phone call from us. They showed the pricing sheet and said they'll charge us additional $500. After much back and forth, they explained away how they're giving us a discount and will only charge $209 more. We didn't agree as that was not what we were initially told, they then stopped loading the junk and took off without completing the job. We will never use them again. The membership benefit is vague at its best, and deceptive at its worst. Now we're out $509 and still have junk to dispose of. Oh, and the membership is automatically renewed - so you have to call and cancel! read more

take this rating with a grain of salt as I opted to NOT utilize their services. The no obligation part comes with subtle intimidation and is barraged with sales pitches attempting to justify their ridiculous pricing. I understand they have a job to do, however, as a warning be prepared for this. If one is willing to spend the money and cost is of no concern, then I am sure they would be a good service. Also, their minimum is $186 just so people are at least somewhat aware of their pricing. The employees sent out were fine at first, but their demeanor changed while talking to the rep negotiating the price, and was all telling. I highly do not recommend this company simply from the estimation process alone. @1800gotjunk at the very least, when confirming estimation appointments, let a prospective consumer know the minimum amount charged. It is literally laminated in their binder of exorbitant pricing. But false advertising and we are out $775. Look elsewhere for this service. We should have sent them away. Never again but it really hurts to have paid that crazy amount. Worst part - my husband is still feeling so down that he got taken advantage of and pressured into even leaving a tip!
