Came here for Christmas last minute and the wait time was about 45 minutes. The restaurant is big and cute, definitely a great place to bring a group. The food was really high quality and delicious. Our table ordered the hush puppies, Nashville hot chicken, egg rolls, and the house salad, and everything was made fresh. Our server even treated us to a free dessert, so we got the chocolate brownie with ice cream. It was delightful. There is a parking lot!

Great food and ambience! Started off the dinner with hush puppies, they were good but the batter was a little too thick and were missing some baking soda fluff. Kale salad was nice and refreshing. The bbq chicken was great, super tender, goat cheese topping was a nice pairing. Mac and cheese had a rich flavor and a crispy breadcrumb topping. Service was amazing, Sophia was very helpful and attentive throughout the evening. Only knock is the pricing ($25ish average meal pricing) I think $23 is a little high for a chicken breast and 2 small sides. Would recommend for a special occasion but not so much for a weekday dinner option.

Wow. That's honestly the best word I can use to describe our experience at Bar 1885. My husband and I celebrated our one-year anniversary here, and the food was nothing short of incredible. We started with their award-winning wings, and after one bite, I completely understood why they're award-winning. Hands down the best wings I've ever had. For our entrées, my husband ordered the steak, and I had the salmon with a Carolina salmon cake. I can honestly say it was the best salmon I've ever had, and that's saying something because I'm from South Florida, where seafood is everywhere. Every bite was perfectly cooked, fresh, and packed with flavor. The service matched the food. Jules was our server, and she was amazing. She was friendly, attentive, and somehow always one step ahead, offering solutions before I even realized I needed something. Ben, the manager, also stopped by our table to chat for a bit. We mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary and told him the last time we had a meal this good was on our honeymoon a year ago. He smiled, told us to save room, and surprised us with a complimentary bread pudding. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal and such a thoughtful gesture. Outstanding food, exceptional service, good ambiance, and genuine hospitality. Bar 1885 made our anniversary feel truly special, and we can't wait to come back!

Expensive but great quality food! Had appetizers and drinks which were great but ended up costing more than a full dinner.

It was a Saturday night but we were a little on the earlier side for dinner so the wait was less than 30 minutes. WELL worth the wait! The atmosphere is fun and casual. Many people were celebrating birthdays with large parties. We ordered the seafood fondeaux based on my friend's recommendation and it was excellent. I ate way too much for sure but it was hard to stop! I ordered the Chicken Ooh La La with angel hair pasta and added on a side salad. I tried the ginger citrus (house) dressing and wasn't sure what to expect but I was very pleased. Not overpowering ... perfect mix of ginger and citrus. The Chicken Ooh La La was excellent as well and needless to say I took most of it with me. My husband ordered the Poo Boy (half portion) with fries. He said it was excellent as well and the half portion was just enough. Service was excellent as well. The young lady that waited on us was super friendly and accommodating. The staff also comes around in NOLA fashion and throws beads on you which was a fun experience. I would definitely return to Henry's but for now I look forward to my leftovers tomorrow!

Along with steak and sushi, you will also find American fare favorites like wings and burgers. For our first visit we went in fully expecting to have a sushi night but after looking over the menu we ended up putting together a full in tasting experience. Our first dish was the oysters and holy moly, they were the biggest oysters I have ever seen in my life. They tasted fresh, served on the half shell with horseradish and cocktail sauce, along with saltine crackers. I highly recommend these. Then came a couple of small plates. Bang Bang shrimp, Spicy Tuna Crispy, and Yellowtail Jalapeño Shots. ALL of these were delicious and I would order again. I especially enjoyed the Yellowtail Jalapeño Shots. Super fun presentation and perfect for sharing. The yellowtail were so tender and they had a nice little kick. From the grill we ordered Shrimp and Scallops with a side of Filet Mignon. The scallops and shrimp were both nice sized and cooked perfectly. The scallops were a little gritty but that happens. I ordered my Filet medium rare and it was also cook just how I would expect it. The meat was a little grizzly/fatty but not terrible. I would order again. The restaurant is huge, bright and tastefully decorated. It was a very relaxing space. Our server was excellent. Extremely friendly and fast. We will ultimately be returning to actually try the sushi! I am also curious about their American far, especially the burger. IG: danny_fuelstherun

The raw bar is front and center, and there are several great options for oysters. There is a social hour option for chef's choice oysters, I believe it was a dozen for $24. I would've loved to indulge, but my friends were not so inclined towards raw oysters. We enjoyed the peel-and-eat shrimp and the blue crab fritters as appetizers. Both had phenomenal flavor, but the portions left a bit to be desired. For my main course, I tried the low country boil as I always love to see an elevated take on a messy classic. The spices were a bit underwhelming for my liking, but everything was cooked very well. I tried some of my friend's redfish, and it was clearly the star of the show. There was a wonderful textural balance between the soft pillowiness of the fish and the crispy exterior. The downside for me was the service. We had a difficult time tracking down our server, and when we alerted another member of the staff that we needed something, there was no attempt to resolve the issue expeditiously. We had to wait another 10 minutes before flagging down our original server. We were dining close to the lunch/dinner shift, so I'm willing to give them the grace that it was a fluke and not a habit. I would love to give Roberto's another try someday, the menu has a great variety, and the ambiance is hard to compete with.
