The longer version: Things that will keep me from returning to a winery are an inhospitable host or wines I don't enjoy. There's nothing keeping me from returning to Farmeier. Our host was very entertaining and personable. He explained his product throughly, answered questions and offered lots of information. We tasted all of his wines. I found several that I liked and we left with two bottles, a dry and a sweet. They have events throughout the year, including an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party coming up in a few weeks. I'm looking forward to a return visit soon.

I found one that was tolerable River bluffs white ... They all kinda taste like metal and im not sure if that's on purpose or accident either way id rather have a riesling. Its an interesting place and while i cant confirm it i hear they have a bed and breakfast so yeah there's something. So its an experience for sure but i don't plan on a second trip myself

This winery specializes in sweet wines/fruit wines. We had Wildflower White, Apple, Puddle Jumper Pear (purchased!), Peachy Peach, Front Porch Red (Purchased!), Country Concord, and Happy Chef. I bought the Pear and White wine for my parents. They are a little sweeter than I like. The Elderberry wine (which I love) I didn't like theirs it was dirty tasting. The Tornado Spotter is NASTY and a palate killer. The owner was super nice and they were having a farkel party while we were there. I would go again to get the Pear and White wine as gifts for people if I were in the area. Take cash or checks they charge and extra 3% for credit cards. They are all about $12 a bottle

Plenty of comfortable seating (we're talking couches and easy chairs), soft ambient lighting, and a kind of quiet mystical aura make it a charming spot to gather with friends and discuss the latest Love is Blind or sit quietly by yourself, writing the poetry of your soul. The two drinks I had were, indeed, fabulous. They have beer and wine as well. Some snacks, too! The drink menu is not extensive, but it is ever-changing, like a good speakeasy will do. The bar staff were all super friendly, helpful, and adept at making spectacular concoctions. The place is open to the public but they also have memberships which gets you a free drink each month and other perks. One in particular is that you get your very own drawer, all of which are located on the front of the bar. My husband and I have regularly used Heroes several times per year, and we almost always get 1 or 2 liters of the concoction to share with friends or, like yesterday, our grown-up kids. My kids are home from school and requested Heroes for the food and great family memories.
