The grounds & entrance are beautiful. We stayed here overnight in our Coach. Wished we hadn't been on a timeline in our travels to really enjoy Arcadian Moon grounds beautiful ponds & lawns. Went in for dinner. This place is huge & wonderful. They had their roll up doors open.so that was pleasant on a early fall evening. They were playing bingo which was fun to do while we enjoyed our drinks & waited for our meal. Food was great. Lots of locals. Only thing that was annoying there was a very large dog that kept barking & coming to our table to see if we were going to feed him. We did not. I'm allergic to dogs. Than some people a few tables away had a small dog that decided it needed to come see if it could get a snack. People kept yelling the big dogs name due to nonstop barking. The waitress tried several times to get it to go home. But the dog kept coming back in. I'm not taking any stars off due to dog but would have enjoyed our time more if it hadn't been around barking & standing at our table. We stopped through recently for dinner and didn't have a great experience. The wine was terrible and was just left opened on our table without waiting for us to try it and approve. When they brought the food after not checking on how we liked the wine we asked if we could have something else. It turns out the wine we were served wasn't even what we ordered. We asked to switch to red since the whites were overly sweet. The red was drinkable but not good. We aren't from the area and definitely felt like we were treated that way. Stopped here as they are members on Harvest Host and right off the interstate! It's amazing that such a beautiful property can be so close to the interstate, it was a great way to break up our drive. You can boondock for free or even pay to get full hookups! The food was fabulous, service was quick. The only negative was the music - I love live music but the band they hired was terribly loud and playing alt rock - not the ambiance I prefer at a winery during dinner. The ambiance is amazing. We arrived on a Monday which is open mic night. The music was great!!! Several local singers that were all very good made the atmosphere amazing. The food is just ok. We order pizza which was a bit salty, crème brûlée which was mostly served cold (hot in spots), and a tomato soup which was the highlight of the meal. The service was amazing. Our waitress hustled from table to table and we never unattended. We'd definitely make another stop and it might be soon. lol read more

Stopped in for a drink and dinner on our way back to KC from Columbia. We sampled all the dry wines, and then got a bottle. If you're going to have 2 glasses of wine, the bottle pays for itself, and you can take it to go if you don't finish it all. We got the gyro with fries for dinner - it was large and good! Once again, we found another place to rave about. We're traveling in an RV and some businesses have opened up to allow campers to spend the night through the Harvest Host program. We found a gem with Arcadian Moon. Just off I-70 in Higginsville, MO. It's a dirt road all the way to the restaurant.....but no worries. We can wash the vehicles on Sunday !!! . By evening, the parking lot got full. It's certainly a popular place. Not only regular guests, but 9 other Harvest Host members check in too. Music starting at 6:00 !!! We pulled in, warmly welcomed, it's Saturday and after settling in, we walked over to the restaurant. Selected our bottle of wine... Cynthiana. A nice dry red wine & sat outside with a beautiful view of the Lake and simply enjoyed the surroundings. Several items on the menu looked soooooo good. We decided to order the Bruschetta & 4 cheese Baked Ziti. OMG.... Delicious and full of flavor !! The Bruschetta had fresh cut tomatoes with basil and a balsamic drizzle on a very nice lightly toasted slice of bread. The baked ziti was mozzarella, Parmesan, ricotta & provolone cheeses and the best blush cream sauce that I've ever had. We liked the wine so much, we bought a second one to take back to the Coach. YES..... YES.... This is a place I would highly recommend to visit. read more

We had a delightful meal on the deck at Arcadian Moon a few weeks ago. Every dish we tried was so good. Our party opted for several appetizers to share. The Roasted Red Pepper and Goat Cheese Dip was served warm with pita. So good. The Stuffed Mushrooms were packed with flavor. We could not stop eating the Truffle Fries. The Bruschetta and Caprese Salad were good, but could be improved by using better quality tomatoes. We also ordered one of their wood-fired pizzas, the Margherita and the crust was fantastic. Crispy on the bottom with a perfect chew. I can't wait to try their other featured pizzas. Arcadian Moon offers tastings of all their wines, wine slushies and sangria. read more

Visited for the first time tonight. Waited about 10 min before we were waited on. Then another 10 or so to get our drinks (just tea and water) ordered our food and waited almost an hour and a half to even get our salads. As soon as those came out our food followed. Unfortunately for my sister, her food was never even put in so she got nothing. The waitress had no hurry up until we asked for the check then that came within seconds. The food was cold. There was no ketchup for our burgers and when we asked for it we were told they were out and would look for packets. The waitress never left the spot she was standing in to go look. I came here with no expectation to have a quiet birthday dinner. I have been pleasantly surprised and impressed by the ambiance, service and especially the food. The stuffed mushrooms were the best I have ever had and I just moved here from Miami so that is the best compliment ever. The chef's creativity with the Mediterranean salad was delicious. I've never tasted such awesomeness on the combination of ingredients. I'll be trying to replicate it forever. The wood fire pizza was also amazing. Just the right amount of flavor from each ingredient in the Everything pizza and toasted to perfection. To end the meal was a creme brulee that also was perfect. My husband loved it and he has always said he doesn't like creme brulee. The dry blush Endeavor wine was also a perfect choice to complement the meal. Great experience. I was treated with wonderful customer service. I wish the food options were a bit different but it was still good food regardless. The area is pretty but unfortunately I went on a cool rainy day. I would love to return when the sun is shining and I can walk through the area and enjoy the grounds. Visited this past weekend. The winery/brewery is about an hour from where we live in KS. We routinely make road trips to check out breweries and were excited about this place. After we arrived, we learned that they haven't made their own wine or beer since Covid. The website, google and yelp do not reflect this. The pizza was good, but I wouldn't have travelled an hour for it. The land is gorgeous. The whole setup could just be fantastic...but unfortunately is really needing some repairs & maintenance. I really wanted to love this place, and it ended up just being ok. The location is gorgeous, the staff are polite, food is ok, but if you're not a large party there for an event or wine tasting you will be forgotten about. This place is very much a bar crowd style venue, so if you don't drink and are just going for food maybe go somewhere else. We went at 5:45 pm on a Friday night and their social media page advertised live music, sounds great right? We get there and the first main building had a sign on the door to go to the tasting room so we did, we walk in looking for a restaurant and the tasting room is tiny. The bartender while nice , seemed confused as to why we were there just to eat. We had the stuffed mushrooms 12$ for 5 mushrooms, the filling was bland and they were just ok. We split a gyro w/fries and again it was just ok. We chose sweet tea for our drinks, the tea was watered down and we never saw a refill or any waitstaff other than when they dropped off our food. The staff was very much preoccupied with the large parties exiting the wine tasting and cashing out tabs. Since I cannot drink due to a medical condition I don't want to come down too hard on this establishment because their alcohol may be amazing. But until they can have a dedicated place for patrons to eat restaurant style maybe word your advertising differently or only cater to large parties and put up a sign noting such at the entrance. I didn't even take any pictures of the food because again it was just ok. The mushrooms were presented pretty with a balsamic dressing but they were room temp and the filling was bland. The Gyro was a basic gyro you could get for 7$ in Kansas City at a local Greek joint but out here it's 14$. If you're a bar person and just want to drink and listen to live music this place is for you. If your a non drinking patron wanting to sit and have dinner and enjoy a good meal maybe keep looking. We may go back to try their pizza as we hear it's good, but we also heard this place was amazing and well, read for yourself. read more

This is a great stop en route to KC from STL! We love pit stops at wineries! We recently moved from California to STL so I've missed hopping in the car for a short distance to amazing wineries. We loved chatting with the winemaker. That's one of my favorite things about wineries. We considered buying a couple bottles but didn't strictly due to finances at the time we were there. This is a great stop to stretch, walk around, use the restroom and sip some wine! The grounds are beautiful so it is a perfect spot to grab a bottle and share on the patio! read more

What we were served was nothing compared to the pictures of other reviews Didn't appear to have been wood oven fired pizza. Lacked garlic & had maybe 8 mushrooms on the pizza. This was my second time here. The first was for my bachelorette luncheon three and a half years ago. This evening, my husband, our dog, and I visited. Wonderful staff, terrific food, great Chardonnay (even my husband, who typically hates MO wine, agreed), good live music, and beautiful walk around the property. The tasting room is newly remodeled and lovely. Love that they allow puppers on a leash. We will be bringing my sister in law in a few weeks when she's in KC for a visit. This place is NOT wheelchair assessable. We got out and took the path to the door, and the door was not even with the sidewalk. I asked if there was a wheelchair entrance, and one of the staff members put a couple of boards down by the threshold. They did not make the doorway assessable and the boards had nails in them. All they said was, "sorry"?! They said we were free to use the grass. I went around but there was no entry from the grass to the deck by wheelchair. No one seemed to care. We left. read more

Went for a date night. Live music was great. We ordered an app (mushrooms) and a wrap with fries. Our app came out with our real food, and we specified that we wanted it before. The mushrooms were room temp and fries were cold. Others were complaining about their cold food as well. No salt n pepper on the tables. When we asked for it, she went inside and stood and chatted with the other waitresses for a good 3-5 minutes, we watched her. She didn't bring plates when she came and I had to ask for sauce. As of this writing, due to being shut down for Covid, they hadn't yet started making their own beer or making their own wine again which was disappointing but understandable. But I have to tell you that the wood fired pizzas were very good. We got the cheese bread, which is really more of cheese fries than bread, but they were very tasty all covered in garlic butter. The dipping sauce was a very hearty homemade looking marinara with excellent flavor. My daughter and I split the Mediterranean pizza, son had a bacon cheeseburger, and wife had a Caesar wrap. Good -Lady who helped us was very friendly and nice. -Grounds and view are very nice. Nice deck. Inside is nice as well. -Pizza was good, just a little undercooked. Still, quite tasty. -Two wines I tried were pretty good. Bad -A tasting room typically connote some tasting. No tasting was offered, unless you were paying for it. No thanks. -A flight is a shot (1 1/2 oz) of wine/beer. This is completely inadequate when charging customers. As a taster, this may be OK, but not as a flight. -The beer was awful. Have had their beer on tap at a bar and was pretty good, but the 3 I had as part of the flight were just awful. Not sure what drove that, but they were bad. So, the place is nice, but a little pricey. Wine and beer were the reason we came, and probably the reason we won't return. Pizza was good, just hope they cook it long. Atmosphere is 10/10 beautiful place, our service however is extremely sub par I ordered two tasters but I got back one I ordered but the other was wrong. My wife ordered a wine and got back some other wine. It took us about 15 minutes to get the wrong order the first time but after another 15 min we got it right. The space camper IPA and the atlas dry red was pretty good. And we got two drinks for $10 so I can't complain too hard. I think by the menu we had $15 worth of drinks but she charged us $8. The server was more than likely wasted. There were several disgruntled customers walking out and we can see why. We would've ordered food but I didn't want to wait 30 minutes for the wrong order. My best friend and I checked out this place this past weekend and it ended up being our favorite part of our weekend. Their pizza is really yum and the blackberry wine was our favorite. We can't wait to go back when it warms up. The outdoor patio looked amazing but it was too chilly for us this weekend. They have candles and homemade jelly for sale as well. So cute! We came back to have lunch again hoping it would be better but it wasn't unfortunately.
