We enjoyed tasting wine and eating a great wood fired pizza while sitting out on the deck overlooking a nice little pond.

Still love Sunday Driver for a sweet summer wine and the Renegade Red (which has a funny back story) is a great red for those who like a sweet red.

The short version: Very friendly wine maker. Good prices on bottles. Nice variety of wines…read more Excellent price on tastings, 4 free or taste all and get a glass for $6. The longer version: Things that will keep me from returning to a winery are an inhospitable host or wines I don't enjoy. There's nothing keeping me from returning to Farmeier. Our host was very entertaining and personable. He explained his product throughly, answered questions and offered lots of information. We tasted all of his wines. I found several that I liked and we left with two bottles, a dry and a sweet. They have events throughout the year, including an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party coming up in a few weeks. I'm looking forward to a return visit soon.

This place is huge we came here because we went to the KC lights festival here and its a vineyard…read morealright i wont go into detail about the event on here so lets get into it. I only really went into the tasting room but it was unique looked a bit like an old saloon but inside a barn and thanks to the rain it was cool enough to be tolerable with 35+ people crammed at the counter. The wines- i tried two of them and learned exactly how much of a beer person i am i tried most of them in an attempt to get my wife a bottle she wouldn't hate. I found one that was tolerable River bluffs white ... They all kinda taste like metal and im not sure if that's on purpose or accident either way id rather have a riesling. Its an interesting place and while i cant confirm it i hear they have a bed and breakfast so yeah there's something. So its an experience for sure but i don't plan on a second trip myself

They had their roll up doors open.so that was pleasant on a early fall evening. They were playing bingo which was fun to do while we enjoyed our drinks & waited for our meal. Food was great. Lots of locals. Only thing that was annoying there was a very large dog that kept barking & coming to our table to see if we were going to feed him. We did not. I'm allergic to dogs. Than some people a few tables away had a small dog that decided it needed to come see if it could get a snack. People kept yelling the big dogs name due to nonstop barking. The waitress tried several times to get it to go home. But the dog kept coming back in. I'm not taking any stars off due to dog but would have enjoyed our time more if it hadn't been around barking & standing at our table. We were the only table with food due to it being late in evening. Everyone was playing bingo & enjoying their beverages.

When they brought the food after not checking on how we liked the wine we asked if we could have something else. It turns out the wine we were served wasn't even what we ordered. We asked to switch to red since the whites were overly sweet. The red was drinkable but not good. We aren't from the area and definitely felt like we were treated that way. The pizza was ok but the nachos we ordered were terrible.
