Firstly, Oscar and his guys are very responsive. They will reply quickly with any questions, and you can message any of the team direct. Their pricing is super competitive and they will do everything. Flooring, kitchen, paint, bathrooms, etc. if you're looking to do a big remodel there's no need to find separate people to do each part of the remodel. Oscar is a "one stop shop" and can handle all aspects of your remodel. They provided great attention to detail, were always punctual, cleaned up every day after their work day was done, and were very transparent about every aspect of the work needing to be done. In fact, we ended up having two bathrooms remodeled by Ixtapa during the pandemic. They possess a wealth of knowledge about the construction/remodeling business and took time to review options, whether for room layout, glass shower doors, sink cabinets, tile installation or shower drains. In the primary bathroom, they removed a wall and relocated the toilet, the shower and the tub, which entailed relocating plumbing works and electrical wiring, moving hvac duct work, and installing hardy backer panels and drywall. For good measure, they replaced some of our old windows and added a few new ones, put in heating for the tiled floors, and installed a pocket door in the new bathroom entrance. The second bathroom was easier as it 'only' required fixture updates, new flooring and tilework. Their workmanship remained high quality throughout both projects, and was particularly evident in the complex tile worked they performed in both bathrooms. We went to numerous contractors and Oren was by far the best choice. He took his time to look over our house twice and gave us a number of options based on our expectations. In the end we re-stuccoed two sides of our home, did some small plumbing work, fixed drywall and repainted two rooms, and fixed a portion of the roof. As work commenced, Oren kept us updated and as work began, Oren realized that we would need additional repair to the wood beam structure of the house. He showed us the damage and again worked with us on options. His diligence in updating us really helped us in the end with the additional work that was needed. He went above and beyond by adding insulation in addition to the new wood. We were extremely happy with the final work that was done. Additionally, Oren worked very quickly, finishing the main work within a week when other contractors gave us a 2-3 week timeline. His workers cleaned the areas each day and put in quality work. His prices are extremely fair and lower in comparison with other contractor estimates that we got for the same work to be done. We cannot recommend him highly enough! Has two Yelp Accounts…read more I contacted Home Advisor via the web site homeadvisor.com I have just move into the area and I was in the market for multiple services for my new home. I received a call from Mark AKA MOSHE RIBOH the owners from a cell number (818)970-0795. On the phone he seems to be very professional and very accommodating. I explain to him that I want it to refinish my hardwood floors before I move in and in addition I was painting the house. I was very clear that this need it to be done in time for my move on July 31, 2014. The original call took place 4 weeks before the death line and we met 10 days before. Once in the house Mark seems to be an okay man, he is over 55 seems to live in the area and had great reviews on Home Ad visors web site. Once at the house he told me that the floors could not be sanded down and refinish, however he could buff the floors and apply a new coat of Polyurethane and I was going to be 97% happy with the work. He mentioned that same of the scratches were too deep and most likely they were going to still be visible but the floors will look great and once again I was going to be 97% happy. The process took less than a day, he had two Hispanic guys working on the job, his only crew I find out latter. In addition I find out that they are acting as sub-contractors but they have no insurance or license and Mark the owner carries no workers Comp insurance ( all after the fact) I immediately notice two things, 1- the floors where way to shining and the smell was very, very bad. I questioned him on the two issues and he said that the shinning will go away once the floors get to dry and the smell will dissipate also. Three days later the painters moved in, Mark the owner of Finest Flooring Inc., told my painters that they need it to use special tape otherwise the tape will damage the floors. The painter got the special tape as per Mark's instructions and proceeded to do his job (great paint job, I will be writing a great review on them) We immediately notice that the coating applied by Mark and his crew was peeling off, yes Pilling Off like you peal a banana. I immediately call Mark and told him to come over and take a look, he come over and said that he need it to bring Alex ( the guys on the workers crew) I told him they need it to finish it and he said ok we will be back once they are finish. I said the crew will be finish by Thursday you need to get here right away I have movers coming on Friday. Thursday they didn't showed up, I call him and he Mark (his real name is MOSHE RIBOH) Said we are delay we be there at 7 pm. Long story short never showed up on Thursday, they were supposed to come in on Friday at 6.30am. 6.30 am come and went, they arrived at 7.30am, at that time I told them to remove this material from my floors, they started sanding the floors and that making big marks bellow the actual top wood coat and into the sub flooring. I immediately stopped them and asked for my money back. The end of the report is: My floors are ruined, they need to be replaced, at a cost of $15,000.00, Mark AKA MOSHE RIBOH is unresponsive, I have filed with the California State License Board and I am awaiting their response.
