Plush lounge on the 18th Floor of The Indigo Hotel. The décor is very moody and dark with royal blue velvet couches and a nice fire wall in the middle of the room. There is space for dancing as well and the views are very nice. These are all the positives that I found while chilling there for a birthday cocktail. The bartenders that night were more than friendly. Flirtatious, funny and clearly loving their jobs, they kept the vibe up and gave us suggestions for other bars to visit that have food trucks near by. But the con is 18 Socials drinks are soooo over priced. This was only my second day in LA but I'd already been to so many other places that I can say this with confidence. Four cocktails ran my friend and I 80.00. Granted they were strong but yeah no! There are too many other options.

    Cranberry vodka and raspberry martini.

Stayed at Hotel Indigo for my birthday week, this lounge is so nice, with beautiful views and a great atmosphere, our bartender Saul made us delicious drinks. We will definitely be back.

On the 18 floor in the Indigo hotel at downtown LA, went there when there's a salsa dance night, $10 cover drink not included, a cocktail start from $18. Average night, the room was small and crowded (due to the event) with big window and good view of the city. The area feels safe considering it's in DTLA.

It was such a vibe! So LA and the ambience was so relaxing! The live music amazing! Great drinks and food! Good energy from the people. Younger crowd than me (I'm 59) I was hoping for more my age group tho. If they ever have a seniors event I'll definitely check it out!

Chill vibes Great views at the top of hotel indigo. Social hour (happy hour) is a surprisingly great deal. And the tuna tartare is. To. Die. For. I should've ordered 2-3 of these for my dinner! The house wine is not bad either. It's not very crowded at all. I think they should throw parties here. One of the staff said they used to, but not sure what happened. The skyline views would be perfect for it. The only issue is the lack of parking in this area. I walked over from my friend's apt complex (the metropolis).

I had the chance to visit this amazing place through an invite of a friend. I've never been before so I didn't know what to expect. Found out that it is located at the 18th floor of Hotel Indigo, hence the name. When I came in, I was so amazed of the floor to ceiling glass walls which gives you the breathtaking views of downtown Los Angeles. The lounge has a lot of comfortable seating. Lots of couches to sit on. Some are even placed by the beautiful fireplace while watching a live band performance. There's also a full bar offering a wide selection of locally brewed drafts, as well as some of California's finest wines. We also had some delicious bites such as sliders, quesadillas, etc. Would you believe they are only $5 during happy hour? Definitely a great place to celebrate birthdays or any special occasions. Perfect venue for a get together with friends or co-workers after work.

This spartan looking picture does no justice to the flavorality and crispness of the wings.

I really like it here. I stopped by on a random Wednesday night to chill with a few colleagues. I arrived at 7 and there was a live duo performing a soft rendition of When Doves Cry. It was epic. Ambience: super relaxed, low lights, nice seating, full and sexy bar! Parking: Apparently, there is parking that is attached to the hotel. I ubered. Service: Everyone here makes you feel spectacular and extra special. I have not been able to sit thirsty for even a second. Food: I've been munching on the wings which are perfectly fried and spiced. I eat them through personal protest as I just vowed not to eat anything that did not die on its own terms just yesterday. The view: Breathtaking. Currently, I'm surveying all of downtown from thei floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows. Will I come here again? Try to stop me.

    Cute cocktails, but pricey.

Located 18 floors up in the Indigo Hotel, 18 Social is an intimate lounge with a live DJ, a bar and a dance floor. The lounge serves as a laid-back hangout spot for hotel guests and partygoers alike. There's no cover charge to get in -- or, at least, there wasn't one when I came by on a Saturday night (Cinco de Mayo 2018). They play music you can dance to -- some oldies, some current. There's a fireplace and a bunch of couches that offer "table service." Clean, sleek and upscale. No dress code. There's also a small bites menu with some interesting albeit pricey items. As it is quite high up, there are some nice views of DTLA to see here. You're in proximity to LA Live and the STAPLES Center, but facing the backside. Also, unfortunately, several buildings are under construction and below the skyline are a bunch of shabby parking lots. While I was here, the place got about half-full. Already, it was quite hot. I can't imagine what 18 Social is like on a good night. Lock down where the air vents are and park yourself underneath one -- air conditioning is a privilege, not a right. The cocktails are pretty good, but expensive. I love love loved their Pineapple Mule and their Of Age Shirley. If you like fruity or sweet drinks that'll hit you after a few, I recommend those. There's a water dispenser at the side of the bar, which was much appreciated. Free water in a sauna-like environment is a blessing. If I didn't specifically have a reason to come here, ultimately, I wouldn't. There's nothing immediately around Indigo Hotel, and Ubers to this area can be pricey. Not a convenient option for me, but fun for a one-time thing.

Classy lounge with a chill vibe on the 18th floor of the Hotel Indigo in downtown LA.

It's a chill vibe and good city lights view of LA. Good date spot and for smaller groups to lunge and relax.

Happy hour 5-7: $5 buck bites Duck confit quesadilla: This was alright. The duck was nicely cooked and juicy but I think the cheese and everything on the quesadilla leveled it down. Still a good dish though. Beef Wellington sliders: Holy wow these are so good!! The patty is super juicy and works well with the mushroom sauce. Despite there being no lettuce or tomatoes these sliders were pretty well balanced. The chips were delicious, crunchy and clearly handmade. Rip n dip: Tried a little of this. The babaganoush is different here and has paprika or something spice that I've never had before in babaganoush, also the eggplant flavor isn't as strong as it should be. The truffle hummus tasted pretty normal so the truffle flavor isn't strong. The pita bread is normal.

    Yum with a view

Expansive LA view, friendly lady server, elevated bar food and a lot of Martini's to choose from. Wine and beer, too. Took a cue from yelpers and enjoyed the petite duck quesedillas! So cute and tasty. Sour cream and pico de galo not too spicy. The beef wellington sliders were filled happily with meat and a thick au jus for dipping. Fresh potato chips seemed to be dusted with celery salt. Great idea! Loation is near the staples arena. Its on the 18th floor of the Indigo hotel.

The guests, come and go and at each moment, in any corner, be ready to be surprised and entertained by a live DJ, acrobat, burlesque performer, pianist and singer. What a show! Veronica at the bar was fantastic and made us drinks just to our order. Supper knowledgable, helpful and kind. Definitely, this place is a great hangout after a meal... be prepared to be be dazzled and entertained.

Sorry for the long narrative:…read more 1) I planned out a special night for my wife throughout all of Level 8 2) Had reservations set at Lucky Mizu for Dinner to Mr. Wanderlust for Cocktails and Entertainment and then to Sinners and Santos for Drinking and Dancing for Latin Night 3) Showed up for our 6:45 PM reservation at Lucky Mizu but was turned away 3 times stating they didn't have seats available. After being seated 40 minutes later, service took 20 minutes to take our order, and another 30 minutes to be served. Food was 'okay', there was no entertainment, and multiple customers were unhappy with similar slow service... but some of them were comped parts of their meals.. we didn't even get a sorry until we spoke to the manager on our way out, expressing the reason was they had no idea it would be this busy on a Thursday (they take reservations, so...), and also blamed an 'all you can eat promotion' they promoted earlier, and they only had two serves on staff that night. 4) We were late to Mr. Wanderlust, but were luck to get two seats at the bar after another couple left. We order two cocktails and a coffee... and were charged just over $140. Then, we were asked to move because they wanted to take our seats. We asked about the bill to the bartendar, and she expressed that since she didn't take our original order, she couldn't help us. She simply just had us stand there. We were not going to pay since it seemed way off... until finally we spoke to a guy walking by. We showed him our ticket/receipt and said out loud, "this isn't right". He came back quickly with a revised bill of almost $120. This was still far too high, but no one else seemed interested in helping us find resolve, so we ate it since we didn't want to be late for part 3 of the night. 5) Hoping to salvage the night with drinks and dancing... we tried to find the entrance to Sinners and Santos for their advertised Latin night. We had made reservations here too, and had full confirmation of the reservation... BUT, after finally being directed to the entrance (outside on the patio), they were closed. No sign of why and no one who worked at the other locations had a reason, but they were just simply closed. 6) So, after paying $35 for parking, about $140 in cocktails and food while waiting for our initial reservation at Golden Hour and Que Barbaro, $150+ for dinner at Lucky Mizu, and $120 at Mr. Wanderlust... approximately $500 total... we didn't even get to dance. Maybe this place had a bad night, but based on what the workers said, and how they treated us... it sure seems like the norm. Don't get me wrong, the place is cool... some really great experiential elements and nice photo ops... but I would have had a much better time somewhere else. Super disappointed in this place.

The interior never changes... dark... illuminated by candlelight... the bust of Shakespeare over the fireplace, the shelves of old books-- all of it remains intact. But this latest Library Bar seems to have finally dialed in what was always sorely missing in that it showcases a conscientious staff that all seem to know how to mix drinks while treating the customer well by leaving them be. On one night my date and I share a "Black Manhattan," basically a Manhattan with the generous addition of Averna, and it's terrific. On another night, I go for Happy Hour and a few pints of Guinness on draft that are surprisingly proper and go well with their excellent and, I'm told, homemade Hummus & Veggies Plate. The music at this current Library Bar is pretty much on point and is never so loud as to interfere with the conversations that patrons seem to come here for... something you should come here for too, and maybe at Happy Hour specifically if you're looking for a nice bump in your day and to spend an hour, well, happily.
