Seriously the best pizza we've had on vacation that we can remember and the people working there were really nice. They got us in last minute too so we really appreciated that after a really long drive here. Highly recommend! :) read more

Phone seems off the hook. They don't bother answering. Consistent with other miserable policies. (Don't take names when people wait out front for a table, won't split checks for a party of 7, automatic 20% gratuity for table of seven in spite very poor service, extra % charge if you use a credit card...) My experience with this restaurant is this: they make the best pizza in town but they treat the public with disdain. It permeates almost every encounter we've had with them since we moved here three years ago, so much so that if I dine in, I do it somewhere else, that is more appreciative of our patronage. Perhaps they have so much business they can afford to be indifferent. I am sick of it. read more

Top notch food! Great atmosphere. Highly recommend the crab melt and the pizza. Looking forward to coming back each visit.

We came in with a reservation and then elected to sit at the bar rather than a table. Had a great experience and a great dinner, and the two bartenders were very friendly and efficient. Our choices were excellent: mussels in broth, spaghetti with marinara, and lasagna. Added a nice bottle of Italian wine for under $40 and our total was $101 before tip. EXCELLENT food! Everything else we saw served to other guests looked great too. Pizza looked great. Great bar selection and good wine list. definitely will come back, highly recommended. Nice atmosphere too! read more

This place is top notch. Their homemade bread with pesto is amazing. Had the Florentine Manicotti with marinara and Alfredo and it was very good ! They make all their salad dressings from scratch too. Thos place is a must try. Service is great ! read more

My wife, Ricekrispia, and I had lunch here. It was like a dream. A dream in which delicious food was prepared table side by knowledge experts. Try the clam chowder! Try the pizza! The scallops were as good as a cold slurpee on a hot day. Go near, go far, but go to 1285 Restobar! read more

This is hands down our favorite pizza spot in Lane County! Their crust and the flavors are spot on. Our favorite is the chicken artichoke! Be sure to get of their ranch too! It's delish. The service usually leaves a bit to desired, but we keep coming back for the food anyway! read more

I've only been here once but I enjoyed the food. I got the mac and cheese with a cup of clam chowder on the side. The mac and cheese was alright, nothing to write home about but it was incredibly hot so it took some time to eat since I needed to let it cool down first. The clam chowder was delicious! It was some of the best I've had and it tasted so fresh. I would definitely go back just for the clam chowder. The service was good and we ate outside since it was nice out. There's lots of seating both inside and outside. The bathroom was small but clean, it was a little hard to find at first though so make sure you ask if you can't find it. It was a little loud inside and there was a long wait. The prices were also a little higher than I was expecting, but I guess being that this is a more classy place in a tourist area that kind of makes sense. read more

This place in general had a nice vibe and food that was decently priced. My main issue was the service and how they reacted to me not even getting to eat my meal. When we were sat down it took our server about fifteen minutes to greet us after the host got us waters. It was majority empty in the restaurant. Me and my significant other ordered our food which he got a pizza and I got the Parmesan chicken sandwich. Both came out in decent time! This part is on me but I forgot to mention my avocado allergy to the staff in the first place. Which yes is a fault on my part. But none of our food should have touched avocado or been around it so I thought it was ok. About three bites into my food I started to feel itchy. Which was concerning so I decided to look at my food closer. There was bits of avocado stuck to the bottom of my sandwich and I had to not eat my food in case I started a worse reaction. No staff checked in on us for a solid chunk of time and I was only able to tell them about the cross contamination at the end of our meal. Which who I told wasn't even our main server who we didn't see since the start of our meal. All they did was box it up with barely any apology or offer to remake it. Which I get if your a smaller establishment but it sucked because I didn't get to eat. In general it was decent food I just found it concerning if the chefs don't clean the cutting board or their work station. Especially if it's another serious allergy and not just my avocado allergy. Also the corner table we were in it in total felt like we were forgotten a large portion of the time. read more

Best pizza ever! Fresh ingredients, flour from Italy makes a huge difference! The chef Mike was amazing! Very disappointed with my experience at 1285 Restobar. I called the restaurant a few hours before our expected arrival to make reservations for a party of five on a Saturday evening. Restaurant has a "no reservations" policy - first come, first serve only. When we arrived, we waited for a half hour outside, as there was no space available inside. When our table became available, friends of the owner's came in like they owned the place and were given our table! After waiting a short time more, we were given a table in the corner and were forgotten. The waiter was inattentive and too busy keeping the "VIP guests" happy. At the end of our meal, I calmly told the waiter about our not-so-pleasant experience. He said that the VIP guests were friends of the owner and that the owner insisted on giving them the next available table. If you enjoy being treated like your money is worthless, go here. There are too many other good restaurants in Florence who enjoy having return customers who don't treat their guests like a second class citizens. read more

Stopped by this spot on our recent trip to Florence. And it was perfect!! The place had some wait time as it was packed on a weekend for lunch. They do not have a wait list etc., just gotta be around to be seated in the order you arrived. We got a table in about 15 minutes and ordered some Rosemary Bread and a veggie pizza. The bread came out warm and perfect with some butter on the side. It was a great way to start the meal. Crunchy on the side and soft with rosemary flavor, this is one of the finest breads I have had. The Greek Pizza was served hot and it was loaded with veggies and pesto. Artichokes, olives, peppers, onions and tomatoes to Anne a few. The pizza was well made and we thoroughly enjoyed it. If you are in Florence, this is definitely a place to visit. Friendly folks and great patio. I would love to go back and try some more pizzas and salads here. read more

Excellent establishment. We enjoyed a great meal here. I ordered a couple of Tito's martini's(able) and the grilled salmon. My friends ordered pizza and scallops. Each also enjoyed their desserts. The waitstaff was attentive and very well versed in the menu offerings. A really nice dining experience. read more

We went for lunch and was seating right away. The food as always was amazing but extremely slow. The people around us came in after us and they were served before us. To top that off the waiter was short and rude and did not seem to care about anything that had to do with our table. I will go back but if that waiter is still there I will request not to have him! read more

Staff was super friendly and accommodating. It was a busy time but I still felt attended to and not rushed. My server helped me narrow my choice to the Parmesan Crusted Halibut with a lobster sauce. The halibut was perfect. The sauce was good, just a little spicy for my liking which I was not aware of when I ordered. The veggies as a side were simply done and delicious! Clam chowder had an herby taste which was a nice alteration from the typical chowders out there. Had the chocolate cake to go and that barely made it another hour before it was gone! read more

The food was delicious. The marinara sauce was delicious and the portion of lasagna was generous, hot and loaded with cheese. Caesar salad dressing was delicious and the signature drink that tastes like pistachio was truly one you had to repeat. That being said I have to add that the service was subpar I recognize that the place was hopping when we arrived but we were constantly chasing our server for the salad dressing, another drink and our check. She never once refilled our water and it was other staff for the most part that helped us out. Even when the restaurant had significantly calmed down our service experience did not improve. You've got a great restaurant here but one of your staff members needs some additional training. You ain't gonna spare me read more

I had a great experience here. I had a spicy burger which was very tasty, and the other people with me had pizza and mussels, also delicious. Very nice service and the restaurant looked great. I would return for sure read more

This is a nice restaurant with inside and outside tables, sidewalk dining in the front and a patio in the back. The inside is cozy with some tables close together We asked for a table on the patio and were told that they had just seated a couple on the patio and wouldn't be able to seat anyone else for an interval of 5-10 minutes. Which I think is ridiculous. The service was slow not attentive We had lasagna and crab ravioli, you cannot tell the dishes apart because they are served the same way. The food was good, however, we did not like that. They set the hot dish right next to your salad greens so some of the greens got smashed and wilted under the hot dish. The bread is not served with butter., we chose not to ask for it because we didn't want to wait. There's also a two dollar charge added to your bill if you use a card to pay for your meal. The two dollar charge has been added to our bill, even though we intended to pay cash , we left cash on the table and walked out. Based on this experience, we probably wouldn't return unless we had no other choices . read more

Stopped in for lunch around noon on a Tuesday. Not busy at all. Greeted, then seated upon entering. Very small inside. A few tables and bar seating are available. No parking lot, street parking only as it is located in Old Town. After perusing the menu, we decided on the seafood pasta ($27) and crab ravioli ($24). We were super excited for fresh seafood! The food was ok. Nothing exceptional. The seafood pasta was supposed to be in an alfredo sauce, but it was more like a broth; it was very runny. It wasn't cheesy or garlicky. Super disappointing. The rosemary bread they served with it was super hard, too, definitely not fresh daily. The fish tasted fresh, so that was a plus. My husband's crab ravioli was tasty, but again, super hard bread served with it. The salad was good. Overall, not wowed by our experience here. The service was friendly, but food was just mediocre. read more

I was really disappointed with the seared Ahi appetizer. The service was fair, although it did take some time to get the attention of our server, with a request, even though we ate early on a weekday, and the place wasn't busy. The hostess found a table for us and the waitress found us as quickly as she could. The place was packed on a Wednesday night. My husband ordered clam chowder and we shared a plate of lasagna. Mama Mia it was a treat for the taste buds and the tummy. A gentleman showed us his pizza that he ordered to go. Next time, pizza we will try some pizza. Service was terrible. We waited 1/2 an hour before they came and took our order, 20 more minutes before we got our beer, easily another half hour before we got our pizza. Then after we ate, it was another 1/2 hour to get our leftovers boxed up. It was crazy. read more

Wow! In one word, that sums up our experience. We were greeted by the hostess, whose name I did not get, who was super friendly and helpful. We sat outside and lived watching everyone and everything up close. The food was really (I mean, REALLY) good. But, my review is to get kudos to the service! It was a Friday evening during the summer, they were busy. Everyone worked as a team, that we could tell. I love seeing that. Our server, Richie (sorry if I didn't spell his name correctly), was epic. He was fun, helpful and prompt. As we were leaving, another patron gave him kudos on his service, I had to pipe in and agree! Great food and amazing service. We will be moving here soon and this will probably be a regular for us. read more

Good food, but it took 45 minutes to get it and we were ignored most of the time. In our hour and a half here, we were visited by a server 3 times total. The table next to us was a party of 6 that came in 10 minutes after us and got their food before us. Ambiance was okay, but nothing note worthy. Service is their only downside. read more

Unusually busy for a Monday night but when finally waited on we had an attentive, kind and helpful server. Our spinach salad and medium veggie pizza were huge servings and very tasty. The pizza was piled high with veggies. Highly recommend this place! read more

Not the place to go if you have allergens concerns. As soon as we asked about what was dairy free the waitress said she would check, then we never saw her again. Clearly didn't want to deal with us. Also be aware they charge extra to pay with a credit card. I wouldn't go again. read more

This little Italian place is a hidden gem for small towns, and I highly recommend it if you're driving to the coast! I'm so glad I found it and stopped by. It has a relaxed wine-bar vibe with an Italian feel, which was perfect and refreshing after a long drive. They offer a great selection of wines, and the bartender was incredibly friendly and helpful in choosing wines that paired well with my meal. The restaurant specializes in pastas and pizzas. Based on reviews, I originally planned to try their pizza, but my server convinced me to go with a pasta dish instead. Overall, the pasta was okay--good but not incredible. I have a feeling the pizza would have been better, but I'm still glad I gave the pasta a try, and it paired nicely with the wine. For me, atmosphere is just as important as food, if not more, because I want a place where I can relax, have a good time, and chat with the staff. This restaurant definitely delivers on that front. It's almost a five-star experience for me, but I'll give it a four because the pasta didn't quite wow me. One downside, especially for business travelers, is that they don't accept American Express, which was a significant inconvenience. I had to use my personal card, which added unnecessary stress. I really hope they can address this in the future. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and would love to stop by every time I'm passing through! read more

I decided that while my wife and kids were staying at her mom's I would go out for a nice meal. After looking over the restaurants in Florence I decided to try this 1258 Rastabar. I called and politely asked for a reservation, but THEY DON'T TAKE RESERVATIONS. I decided that I would risk it and went anyway. I drove my 2004 Toyota Corolla around the block but couldn't find parking anywhere besides this spot with a cone on it. No cone is going to tell me what to do, so I ran it over and parked there. As I was walking to the door I tripped over a woman's dog and landed in its poopy (excuse my language). After cleaning myself off with a napkin I walked up to the front door of the establishment. As I got to the top of the MASSIVE flight of stairs I slipped on a banana peel and fell back down the stairs. At this point I was exhausted and just wanted my meal. The host was very nice and sat me in this lovely table right next to the kitchen and in the main walkway. It was pretty nice until this big, burly biker CROP-DUSTED ME! I would have confronted him, but my meal was ready and given to me. I ordered the 1285 Burger with no cheese, no sauce, no aioli, no lettuce, no onion, no tomato, no bun, no side, and a gluten free patty. It was DELICIOUS! I had it with a tea with extra lemon. After paying my bill I got crop-dusted AGAIN by the same biker. I went to confront him but slipped on a puddle and landed on my booty. I decided to leave. As I got to where I parked I realized my 2004 Toyota Corolla was TOWED. read more

It doesn't get much better than this! We drive to Florence from Eugene just for dinner at Restobar! The staff is fantastic. Rich is such a personable, attentive server & Gideon makes a mean Blueberry Squeeze martini! They're all great though:) The food though! OH.My.Gosh... whatever you have will be nothing short of amazing. Garlic cheesey bread...Yes! Scallops Antica... packed with flavor. Crab ravioli? Oh heck ya! The crab melt open faced sandwich... mouth watering! The pizza is great too! If you get the chance to try this place once, you'll definitely go back! Enjoy! read more

We were seated in an adorable back courtyard which has a great ambiance. Our servers were very friendly and helpful in choosing the selection. Overall clean and well presenting. The Food I had calzone, about 16$ and large enough for a good sized portion. My partner would not have been able to finish it. I can say it was quite nice and the extra pesto was a pleasant surprise. The chicken sandwich and burgers were also very nice looking. The bad One thing that was a little irritating was the small charges for all sorts of things. You get an extra charge for using a card to pay, having parties over 6, splitting a ticket as examples. Overall a great place and better than most in Florence. read more

To start, Emily was our server. She was so good at her job. Efficient, professional, knowledgeable and has a great personality. She even dealt with the grievances from our neighbor table perfectly. I don't usually write reviews and frankly am not the biggest fan of yelp. However after decades in the restaurant industry I felt like I needed to point this experience out. The food was wonderful! Everything was so delicious! You can clearly taste the effort put into every bite. We had the seafood pasta, crab melt, garlic mashed potatoes and a meatball. The ambiance was also just right. We sat in the two top tucked into the corner which was cozy and comfortable. When we were sat the host(?) gave us tips on how to make the space more comfortable as we saw fit. We live in Eugene and will most definitely be back. Cheers to the people who make this establishment excel! read more

Would have been 5 stars... The food was great and the server was quick and polite and the place was clean and nice, how ever during our visit (the owner i believe) was working the bar near were we was seated and very loud talking we couldnt just ignor it to a customer( a relator from our area) for over 10 min down grading a woman they know from the cloths she wears, to the way the lady talks, she then referred to the lady as mis botox my child was so discussed by the conversation that was the last straw he immediately asked for a box after two bites and asked if we could leave. I'm completely disappointed and would have expected more from the owner then this. read more

I've eaten here twice while passing through Florence, and both times my experience was extremely good. Oddly enough, although I live on the Coast, I find that many restaurants overcook seafood. Each time I visited Restobar, the fish was perfectly cooked, and my companion had the same experience. We're already planning a return visit. read more
