I walked in right behind David, who had just gotten back from lunch (food in hand!) and I asked if they had time for me. David took me immediately and put his lunch away. I've been to many nail salons trying to find "that" experience..the one we all look for when receiving a service. Comfortable, clean, and relaxing. None of the salons I've ever been to have checked every box..or even verbally communicated with me during my appointment...until I walked in to KD Nails and sat with David. The whole first appointment, David and I had conversation, and it was light and engaging. It was a breath of fresh air to be spoken to during my appointment and not just sitting in awkward silence! It was a great appointment and i realized that I have found my salon! I went for a couple more appointments, perfect experience each time, and he remembered our conversations and things that were going on in my life that we had spoken about. It was really a very personal experience. I booked yet another appointment and added a pedicure to it. The pedicure was so nice and relaxing, and she made sure I was comfortable the entire time! I have been back about 5 or 6 times since my first walk-in appointment, and I will continue to go to KD Nails for all of them, and I live in Manchester! This alone is 10 services with 4 people working in addition there were 3-5 customers at the same time coming in/being worked on. One lady was getting manicure and pedicure and got out of chair before gel dry around 10 to make room and we felt bad and didn't want her to have to. We waited a very long time and had to checkout of hotel at 12 and the wedding set had an appt at 11 but only one person was started by 10. When anyone explained they couldn't wait they would tell you "sit. 5 more min". Once started with services was very rushed and not quality. When we were getting pedicures we were talking about fingers and they said "what you want that too? ". Yes our appointment was for both. The men were pleasant but heavier woman was absolutely miserable the whole time. She cut me during manicure and when I asked her to put alcohol on the bleeding spot was upset with me. When checking out she didn't want to let me put own tip in the led screen (I did 10 percent bc of bad experience) but when I asked she spun it to me rudly and then rolled her eyes and sighed at me just like she had done the whole morning. A lady called for appointment later in week and was told 9 but it was not noted down at all and we overheard this a few times. I want to add to be fair we were running 5-7 minutes late and expected a reasonable wait due to that but it was irrelevant as there is no consideration to appointments at all. Would not return due to not enough staffing/incorrect scheduling, quality, general pleasantry of the staff and cleanliness.
