I've reviewed 1-2-3 Thai before and gave it an awesome review. I decided to try it again during "the pandemic". The only difference is that there is no dining in , all orders are to go only. It's possible to order online, call, or walkup. I chose to do the online method and it was straightforward with no difficulty or surprises. I ordered my favorite dish, Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken. I really like spicy food, so I chose Spice Level 4 (the highest choice). The website advised me that my order would be ready in 25 minutes. I got to the store 15 minutes early so I just went shopping in the nearby grocery store. When there was only about 3 minutes left I parked outside 1-2-3 Thai. There were 4 reserved parking spots for "Curbside Delivery". Shorty after I parked an employee came out to my car and I informed him I had placed an online order. A couple minutes later my order was brought to my car and I headed home to enjoy my meal. Even though I had ordered the highest Spice level, I could not taste any heat. Oh well, next time I'll attach a note to double the Spice Level. Even without tasting the heat I still enjoyed my fried rice. It was very tasty and HUGE portions! I barely ate half of what I was given. Absolutely delicious food with good portion sizes. We gobbled up the spring rolls before I thought to take a photo but they were amazing. The pho was seasoned perfectly and made with whatever spice level you request. The pineapple rice was absolutely delicious! We are eating the leftovers for dinner just after eating it for lunch. I would have to say this is my favorite Thai place on the island. I ordered a Phad Thai with fried Tofu, extra extra extra spicy. I spoke with Sam (the owner) and he assured me it would be spicy. I guess for the average human it would be but I still had to add more spice. The portions are always spot on. I always finish my meal fully satisfied. I think it takes about 3 days for my wife to finish all of hers. If you're looking for some quick Thai food without the hassle, this is the place. Phone orders are even better. For take out 123 is unbeatable, I know I can order food that will be ready in 10 min, and it will somehow still be piping hot when I get home even 20 min later. I love their "we have NEVER charged for rice" signs, posted all over the place. The signs are weird and accusatory but also make me smile. You can come here for odd ball items like bacon, jerky, or insects but also for classic dishes like curry or noodles. read more

I can only speak on behalf of their chicken Pad Thai. It is sooooo good and full of flavor, always comes with two scoops of rice on the side. They range their spice level from 1-4 but to me it's all the same and not even mildly spicy. You can go higher but even a 5 isn't spicy haha, maybe a 10? Not sure if they go that high. They do give a generous amount of food and it fills me up every time. The price is kinda high at around $11 (as of 3/3/18) but I still come back - Space has a good amount of seating but isn't too large but enough for 2-4 at a table. Staff is friendly and cooks are always working hard since you can see the food being made. Try it out! read more

I'll just I've been a local here for some time now and used to love 123 Thai but over the years it's definitely gone down in quality. First off when I ordered they told me it was going to be 10-15 mins. I got there 15 minutes after placing my order and it wasn't ready yet. The young man said he would bring it my car when it was. I waited another 45 minutes before my food was brought out to me. I told the young man I wasn't upset with him because it wasn't completely his fault but they should definitely give more accurate wait times and not lie to their customers. You can lose a customer for a night for being honest but you can lose a customer for life and get a bad reputation for lying. When I got home, the food wasn't even hot. I ordered the crab Rangoon and Beef Pho. The broth to the Pho was bland, didn't have much flavor and really oily. The noodles were mushy and overcooked along with the beef as well. The crab Rangoon wasn't hot and was soggy on the bottom. I paid $24 for food that ended up going in the trash it was so bad. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place at all. The Vietnamese place on Pioneer is way better than 123 Thai. read more

This is a great hole in the wall. Food was spot on. The decor is definitely weird but kind of sweet. I won't deduct a star for having coloring pages from kids on display. It is a mom and pop Asian restaurant If you don't like the look of the place, you can always do take out. I love #18 massaman curry. For noodles I love #36 phat see ew with beef! They never charge for rice and they serve healthy portions. I appreciate the to go boxes are on the counter for customers to take leftovers home. We have visited 123 Thai multiple times, it has always been a favorite local spot. However the past few trips the spice levels have been disappointing. I always ask for a level 5 for my chicken green curry, and recently there's been hardly any kick to it. I did spend four years living in New Mexico so it's possible my spice tolerance has increased - but today we ordered chicken pad thai level 3 and level 5 and they were exactly the same. We also had spring rolls that tasted stale and maybe even freezer burnt? The food and flavor has always been delicious in the main courses, but I guess next time I'll just have to add extra extra spice. read more

Unfortunately I have to give a 1 star review. The food tasted good but when you only receive half of the chicken that you were supposed to receive then I can't give a positive review. I ordered three entrees last night through their website. I picked it up and brought it all home. When I opened up my dinner (the Thai Chicken Popcorn) I was disappointed to see that I only had received 7 pieces of chicken. The website clearly states '12 pieces of chicken'. So where did the other 5 pieces of chicken go? I guess this helps to make a higher profit margin when you advertise that a meal will have 12 pieces of chicken and you only provide 7. I live about 15 minutes out of town so it's not practice to go all the way back to get my other 5 pieces. I will just have to chalk this up to a learning experience and not ever go back to this place. My recommendation is if you order your food for take out to make sure that you open it all up before you leave and check to make sure that it's all there. read more

I wanted to give this place 5 stars because its 3 and a 1/2 star yelp rating doesn't do it any justice. I ordered the pork pad see ew and Tom kha, spicy level 12 and was extremely satisfied. The pork and noodles were tender and had all the right Thai flavors. I also love that a side of rice is included in every dish. If you read everyone's low reviews of this place it's mainly because of the overall cleanliness, aside from that, you should still check this place out for the food. I mean, Have you seen the McDonald's chain restaurants, you're crazy if you still eat there and not here just because of 'cleanliness'. read more

My wife and I decided to try something different. It was a bad idea. She received what appeared to be prepackaged frozen chicken nuggets on a mountain of fried rice. I ordered Thai stick chicken which looked nothing at all like the picture presented. Both of our "meals", while seemingly edible, where not appetizing at all. My chicken even had a bit of a green tint to it. We had also ordered crab Rangoon which came out looking great but had no crab in it, just cream cheese. The biggest problem that I have is that it is so INCONSISTENT. I have eaten here about 15 times, a few in the restaurant, but mostly take out. I have had some of the fried rice dishes and green curry, but my 'ol standby is basil noodles with chicken. There are times when it is the bomb and there are times where I wish I had ordered something else. It's a crap shoot on everything from the spices to the level of hotness. Thai tea isn't bad. You pull a cup out of the fridge and get to add your own half and half. It seems that it depends on the phase if the moon or something! Had 1-2-3 Thai again tonight (6/30/14) Basil Noodle with chicken. Noodles were ABSOLUTE mush. Can't believe they even served them. Mushy and they just break into pieces when I try to pick them up. There's seating for families, groups, or single folk, but the atmosphere is kitchen-like. I don't mind seeing a cook in action, but everything else cluttered all around? Yeah, meh.
