Had a lite lunch Sunday afternoon. We ordered BBQ nachos and Buffalo flatbread. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. The nachos were a nice twist to the traditional Tex-Mex version. Chips were crispy, cheese tasty and BBQ sauce delicious. Nachos were served with banana peppers, but would have preferred Jalapeño peppers. Flatbread was good. What was interesting was the menu prices. Overall prices seemed to be a bit high for a rural restaurant with pleasant but Applebee's-type decor. read more

I visited to try the chicken piccatta gnocchi one night with my husband and it was heaven! It had the perfect balance of lemon, sage, caper and butter. Tonight we ordered to go and my husband and I both ordered the chicken piccatta gnocchi. It was dreadful. I don't know who cooked this but they have no sense of taste. There were SO MANY capers! The first bite I spit out the gnocchi because the lemon and caper was so overpowering. The sauce was not at all like the first time we had it. Chicken was burnt as well. There had to be 50+ capers and at least two lemons worth of juice in there. I enjoy the freshness and every changing menu of 110 but this restaurant has no consistency. We were sat at a table that had a plate load of rice on the floor beneath it. Not a good first impression. Risotto was decent, short rib was good however if the two pieces I received, one was inedible due to it being entirely fat. My wife's fish tacos were very difficult to eat due to the shells being too small for the contents. They were best eaten with a fork. Everything was great except the hostess (-2 stars just for her). Preface: we went at an off hour, so it was dead. Hostess: we had a dog so obviously we were sitting outside, so we walked up to the tables outside from the parking lot while one of us when inside to get a table. The hostess came out and was incredibly rude and short with us, stating we couldn't sit until she sat us. We were not sitting at all, we weren't even on their property yet. So we stood in the street with the whole family and baby in the sun for a very awkward amount of time until she put went back in and came back out and put menus on the table. Menus! Like we couldn't get menus handed to us while sitting? Not a word from her after that, no 'enjoy your meal' or 'your waiter will be right out' or anything. Super awkward. Waiter: he was great. We were his only table (again it was off hours) so he was very attentive and nice and funny. He had good recommendations to go for and to avoid, and was generous with the bread.... Umm, bread... Food: bread with garlic butter, yes please, lots and lots of bread with garlic butter. We had a little bit of everything. Salad, sandwiches, flatbread, and some seafood. It was all good. The only complaint was the tuna dish was a bit bland, maybe it needed some good sauce but it was healthy at least. The short rib flatbread was awesome. They cater to allergies like a boss too! Found this restaurant by chance. 6pm on a Saturday, we half expected a wait but because we were willing to sit in the outside courtyard, were seated straight away. We were impressed with their concern over possible dietary issues (none). We ordered the steak salad to split - our server advised that would not be a problem. Wonderful salad of mixed greens, tomato slices, red onion, bacon, and blue cheese with a perfectly cooked piece of meat. How great can a chain joint be? Well here's a 5 star place. The menu has some Asian flair but it's certainly all American. The bar has many taps and friendly staff the wait staff were fantastic and overall I have a great experience. The scratch make most of the items on the menu and it shows in the food. I had the fix burger without the egg and bacon and it was just terrific. I asked for rare and I got rare that's something many places can't get right. Dinner not so great, waited a little too long to get it and when I finally got my chimichurri steak and fries it was cold. They did remake it, but not a great cut of meat. I came for lunch on a Tuesday with some coworkers and the place looked pretty packed! Luckily we were able table without making a reservation, but definitely call ahead for a larger party. The waiter was really friendly and helpful! I ended up getting tomato soup and beet salad (she said I could replace the grilled cheese and offered some salad options). The beet salad was great! It was a good blend of arugula, beets, onion and goat cheese. The cheese was super fresh and soft! My coworkers got burgers which all looked delicious and crispy fries to go with. I was meeting a former work colleague for dinner, and the choices for restaurants in the Hudson area seemed quite slim. I had been to the Nashua location of 110 Grill a couple of years back and was not impressed, and the mix of reviews here were a bit puzzling, but it was convenient (across the street from her hotel) so I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. We were greeted cheerfully and promptly, and asked if we wanted a gluten-free menu (no). We were led to a table in a separate dining room that was empty when we arrived, but it filled up soon after. Our server emphasized that everything was prepared on-site and that they were especially careful about food allergens. We were asked repeatedly about allergies - my colleague said she was mildly allergic to shrimp, and the server emphasized that they used separate Fryolators for shellfish and other foods. (I had no allergies.) We both ordered beers - the selection was varied and not 90% IPAs as I keep running across. Most of the beers were from New England and only a couple was I familiar with. I was offered a sample of one beer, but I opted for a different one. A small pull-apart loaf of warm bread was brought to the table, along with a tub of garlic-herb butter with significant flavor. For an appetizer we shared the odd-sounding Chorizo Totchos which were delicious (and so much of it that I ended up taking some home.) For the main course my colleague ordered the Mushroom Demi Sirloin and I got the 110 Chimichurri Steak (again an odd-sounding combination). Both were delicious and full-flavored, and again the portions were large. I ended up eating all of the steak and leaving a lot of the seasoned fries, as tasty as they were. I have been wanting to try this new franchise in MA, and was very disappointed. The place is beautiful, nice arrangement for privacy, and very clean. Great addition to this area. But, yes there is a but, when it came to my food and my friend, the presentation was very nice with the little basket for the French fries, but there was not mush fries in it. My hamburger, let take it this way,I cannot give more than 3 stars, it was not the best, quality was not there. Not worth the money. I came in here around 7:30 on a Thursday to have dinner. I grabbed a seat at the bar after waiting for someone to leave because this place was packed! There were people waiting outside for tables. The bartender came up to me right away to greet me and show me the specials. I ordered a Harpoon 16oz since their beer sizes come in "small and tall" I opted for the small not fully knowing what to expect. I was between the lobster roll special and the swordfish entrée, the bartender recommended the swordfish and it was a great recommendation, the portion was appropriate and it was cooked well. The BF and I headed out for a late supper, checking out the new joint in town. We'd read reviews that getting a seat was tough. At 9:30 we walked in and sat at the bar; half the tables were empty at this late hour. Frankly, I'm impressed with how many seats they have at the bar (30) and the number of total tables in the restaurant. We started with cocktails: me, the 110 Pomegranate Martini and the BF had a Manhattan, up with a couple dashes of bitters. I really, really enjoyed the martini. The mix of gin with pomegranate was an unexpected delight. Not nearly as sweet as a vodka pomegranate martini can be. Really well balanced. The BF's Manhattan was tasty as well. And the offer of the rocks on the side is always a bonus. Overall the cocktail menu is creative and different without being too out of the box for the average diner. Beers and wines span a wide range of tastes and price points. Did I mention the gluten free menu is effing amaze-balls? There are very few differences between the "regular" menu and the gluten free menu. I challenge you to find them. It's like the whole restaurant is essentially gluten free, which is crazy awesome for this Glutard. We shared the Crispy Fried Pickle Chips to start. Yummy slices of firm pickles, crispy fried in a light batter. Accompanied by a great honey mustard sauce and an okay sriracha aioli. For our meals, I opted for the 110 Chicken Caprese Parmesan. It's described as a lovely balance of chicken parm with a side salad. Just what I was craving. He ordered the Beef Stroganoff (hint - one of the few menu differences for the glutards: you get GF pasta while others get spätzle.) Second round of drinks while waiting for entrees: the 110 Margarita and a classic gin rickey. Both delicious. It's a great margarita that's made with a reposado and fresh juices. And this one came with muddled fruit. Not too sweet. The gin rickey could have used a touch more lime, but was still great. Dinner! A ginormous chicken breast, BREADED (us glutards never get breaded - ever!) and fried, with all sorts of yumminess on top: pesto, melted cheese, balsamic reduction, grape tomatoes. O. M. G. I've died. The side salad was simple, which is perfect to not detract from the chicken. A touch more dressing than I prefer, but I tend to prefer my salads nearly naked. His stroganoff looked great, and judging my the moans tasted the same. Overall, plenty for this meal and leftovers for lunch tomorrow. On to dessert. For the glutards, there are a couple of choices. The requisite GF chocolate cake, a mixed berry float with berry sorbet, berries and prosecco, and a peanut butter cascade (just ask for the brownies on the side or to be omitted.) We opted for the GF chocolate cake, since it's my litmus test for 4 or 5 stars. Okay, the GF chocolate cake.... Not the best I've had (see my review for The Local in Wayland) but a close second. Fresh berries and compote. Vanilla ice cream. I won't be complaining. A great shareable. I also had a decaf version of their Espresso Martini while he had a Macallan 12 year, neat. The martini was typical and delish - Megan, our bartender, took great care to double check the GF-ness of the chocolate and caramel sauce. I'm not that sensitive (auto-immune disorder, not celiac) so I told her not to worry. (If you're super sensitive, do not rely upon this review as an indication of the safeness.) In total, a shared app, two entrees, a shared dessert and three cocktails each, our bill came to $120. A touch higher than some of the other local restaurants but I feel as though they completely hit the mark with what they are trying to be. (And hey, half of that check was cocktails. If you're not a cocktail geek and prefer beer or wine, your check will be much, much less.) If you want a lower price point and bigger portions, hit up Applebee's or the 99. If you want great value, good portions and superior flavor and quality, come to the 110 Grill. read more

We went to the 110 Grill in Berlin tonight and the food and service were excellent! They had crab cakes for an appetizer and they let me order that with a half-salad for my meal. The salad was a good size for just being half. Our waitress, Kelley, was great and brought me a box for my leftovers including a small container for my blue cheese dressing, which is too good to leave behind. (I usually have to ask for that at most places.) Service was attentive but we never felt rushed. My food allergies were taken seriously, as they always are at the 110 Grill. read more

The concept is fine. The menu is diverse but the quality is just lacking. When we arrived and checked in for our reservation for our "party of 3" the hostess asked us how many menus we'd like. Umm....3?! Just odd. Our server (Doug) was very nice and attentive from beginning to end. We shared the firecracker shrimp appetizer ($14) which is always good across all of the locations we've visited. My husband had a side Caesar ($4) with his Jambalaya special ($18). The portion was a bit small and he said he wished it had more rice. I had the Kale and Brussels salad ($11) with steak tips ($9). Portion was fine but the steak tips had the strangest flavor. Overly/sickening sweet. Tasted like it had vanilla in it. Just odd and not very good. They were also lukewarm at best. Speaking of lukewarm, our 9 year old's meal arrived about 10 min before ours - which is fine. But there was some back up in the kitchen that caused ours to run behind. The manager and our server came by multiple times to apologize and even took the shrimp app and our daughter's meal off of our bill AND gave us two appetizer coupons to make up for it. Thought that was very nice of them. But just strange that when our food finally arrived my steak tips were cold. In any case, I think the food is just meh. Came here for lunch the other day. Nice place. Nice big circle bar with tv's and plenty of tables and booths to sit at. I had the seasonal salad with grilled chicken, it came with strawberries and walnuts and a champagne dressing. It was just what I was lo king for. Filling but light. I couldn't even finish the chicken or the salad. It came with a whole chicken breast flame grilled and wasn't dry. For my drink I had the 110 margarita. Fresh lime juice and a muddled orange wedge and agave tequila. Yum! My husband had the Cobb salad. It had homemade sourdough croutons, grilled chicken and all the other fixins for a Cobb. The menu had a great assortment of items that I will be going back to try. Especially the fish tacos. Others around us had mussels and tuna apps that looked amazing and the burgers are GINORMOUS! I've had really mixed experiences at some of the 110 locations. In fact, this was the location that always seemed to provide consistent service and consistent fair quality food. The restaurant seems to pride itself on quality and tailoring the kitchen to the specific consumer's needs. They offer a Gluten free menu and are very diligent in regard to allergies. With that said! We went for a birthday lunch for a family member. The server was courteous and accommodating but obviously a bit overwhelmed. It was apparent they were understaffed and were having a hard time keeping up with the demands of a busy restaurant. We ordered drinks and an appetizer which came out in perhaps a bit of a delayed time frame but we were in no rush. I ordered a cheeseburger, a gold standard in any pub type restaurant. Well, the burger itself was bland and tasteless and the bun was stale. The onion strings I ordered were just a mess of onion pieces overly battered smothered in salt that had formed one giant glob of onion/ fried batter mess. My sister's turkey burger just looked unappetizing, a grey glob of meat on a stale bun. It seemed like they used a cheap quality turkey burger which was just bad. My Mon's masked potatoes were not stirred and half of the bowl was cold and half hot. Their masked potatoes were of the powdered variety that you stick in the microwave but need to stir. There was NO way they were home made mashed potatoes. I was just really disappointed and for 2 burgers, fish and chips and a salmon meal with iced teas =$110. Well, I know prices everywhere are ridiculous but come on. Collectively we ate less than 50% of the food on our plates. At these times I just feel embarrassed for a restaurant to present such crap to their customers who wanted to enjoy a special day out. Anyways, I won't be back. read more
