Very disappointing experience at 1010Tires Langley. When dropping off my vehicle for new wheels and tires, I specifically asked that the old wheels and tires not be put inside the car since we brought a second vehicle to transport them. Despite this, they crammed them into the vehicle, which caused damage to the interior and trunk. Management apologized but refused to take responsibility, telling us to go through our own insurance (ICBC) instead. The work order was also poorly written and unclear, which may explain the mistake--but that doesn't excuse the damage or lack of accountability. Tire shop that used to be Volco Tire on Marine near Fraser. Parking is available in several spots. The showroom is nice and shiny. Very nice display of rims. Downstairs is where the magic happens. Looks like they have 2 bays. This place has a touchless machine which is great for not scratching up one's rims. Pricing is in line with the competition. Staff are very friendly and professional and quick. I used their services twice and was pleasantly surprised. Their online tire orders are also very quick. I ordered my tires and they called me the next day(!) telling me they were already there. Pricing is reasonable. Their site is very easy to use. Overall my experience was very seamless. my kind of tire shop. I bought a set of new rims and tires smaller than the OEM wheels on my car. I did it all online on their website. punch in your car details, and they give you some options to pick from. Pretty self-explanatory website. Place your order, then they actually verify it. Someone from the company emailed me about TPMS sensors i ordered that they thought I did not need, so they recommended I verify with the car dealer, which I did. Then they removed the item from my order, saving a few hundred bucks. A few days later, i got another email saying my order was ready and I can book online an installation appointment. I did that, came in at the appointment time, and was out within 30 mins. Mounting the tires on the rims was free, not sure if it was a promo or always free with them. They charged around $16 each wheel to swap the old wheels out with the new ones. They laid out all the fees in-person (some government tire levies, taxes, and a few bucks for shop supplies) in addition to the cost of the products and service. Overall, their pricing with the service works out a bit more expensive than costco for identical products. They also dont offer free flat repairs unless you buy their warranty. However, their service is quick, on-time, the online system is excellent, and im happy paying a bit more for the extra convenience they offer. The guys in-store are straight forward and get to the point, get work done efficiently, and I appreciate that. Ive done the costco tires thing before and its pretty time consuming, appointments take forever to get, and fighting the parking lot crowds is always annoying. Easy recommend. read more

location is wrong, shop is in Vancouver BC Bought a pair of $300 dollar tires the previous year. Came in for a slow leak, asked for the umbrella patches and not the fiber twist plug fix. Paid a little more to fix it properly. they said there was a nail. A month later the low tire warning came on again. Brought the car in and waited. They said there were three more leaks and they would not fix it and i would have to buy a new tire for about $340. Took my car back and went elsewhere and there was one pin hole leak. and noticed they had put in two twist plugs from the original repair. Repair guy said, three patches are allowed before tire is non repairable. Paid to fix the leak again, and took the tire back to show them the single hole properly repaired and the two twist plugs they had used despite me asking for the umbrella patches. ( it save them a lot of time as they do not need to pull tire from rim to patch tire using the twist plugs.) He said he would replace the twist plugs with the umbrella patch. They ground the heck out of the tire and stuck three old style patches on. He said they noticed a metal wire on the inside and patched over it, even though there was no outside intrusion. They left pieces of the old twist tire plug in the tread and there were holes in the tread where the plugs had been. (i had researched and read about failures of these tires and slow leaks not repairable.) I have bought another tire elsewhere because they have butchered this $340 tire.. Have bought tires from them for decades but had to write this review as hold them accountable for their questionable business practices and failure to protect the consumer on a possibly defective tire they sold... Price was good but the installation was horrendous. Ordered new tires and rims and got them installed. Winter came and I needed to change to winter tires. Found out that they overtightened the rims to a ridiculous amount. Stock torque setting is 90ft/lbs. They tightened it well over 300ft/lbs. I had to use a 36inch breaker bar, then balance myself onto the end and jump up and down several times before the lugnut finally broke free. I'm 190lbs so with the breaker bar and jumping I was easily cranking 300ft/lbs on that lugnut being extremely conservative. I'm sure they just used a torque wrench to tighten the lugnuts and used zero restraint. Not only this but they failed to also peel the plastic film off of the hubcaps. Overall, just seemed like there was very little attention to detail given. Adding insult to injury, the TPM sensor got loose in one of the tires. Made me pay to reinstall it when most other companies would do it for free if you bought the wheels from them. read more

My car takes two different sizes for tires so it took me a while to find them at a decent price. 1010 tires were patient when they had to actually track down my tires and they got them in pretty quickly. They introduced a storage service to me which was awesome because normally I stored them in my in-law's basement and it was such a hassle to pack them up every season when I needed to get them changed. A week ago I've ordered a set of rims from 1010 to put my winter tires on as it dumped a lot of snow here in Calgary. A week later, status of my order hasn't updated at all. Considering that pretty rims are not as important to as safety I decided not to wait installed my tires on the first set of rims I could find. Since the order hasn't been processed or shipped I've expected an easy cancelation with 1010, but boy was I wrong. When I messaged their life chat, a CEO/Owner Sofia responded and communication with her was less than pleasant. First, she told me that "they didn't sit around waiting for me to cancel" and my order is actually shipped, so if I want to cancel I will have to pay 15% restocking fees. When I asked why the status wasn't updated on the website, her response was that "they don't owe anything to the client, and they are too busy to update the status". I was also told that "they've been in business for a loooong time and they know what they are doing and people usually don't complain about the restocking fees". She claimed that tires were already shipped, but there were NO tracking number that she could produce for me. Anyway, long story short - canceled the order, payed restocking fees, for sure not coming back. Decided for yourself if you would like to deal with them. With this level of customer service I would imagine that dealing with any kind of warranty claims will be a freaking disaster. read more

I had a terrible experience with 1010 tire and would not recommend them to anybody. I visited the Coquitlam location in June and on their recommendation, bought a set of OHTSU FP7000 tires, size 215/45R17 tires. They said that these are the Japanese version of Falken and are great tires and have had no complaints. About 2 months later, I noticed my car was drifting/pulling to the left. I took my car to the Toyota dealership to have it checked out, thinking it was an alignment issue. They conducted road tests and checked the alignment and concluded there was no alignment issues. They did confirm that that there was a pull, and it was due to uneven tire wear on the front passenger side tire. As a last resort, they did a cross-rotation and that resolved the pulling issue. They told me that these were cheap tires, and that I should take them back to where I bought them and at least have the defective tire replaced. I made an appointment with 1010 tire and took the car in so they could inspect the tire and replace it as it was covered by warranty and I had purchased the extra insurance on the tires from 1010 tire to cover any issues. By the way, between my purchase and this incident, I had moved out to Chilliwack, so I had to drive to Coquitlam just for this appointment. The employee at 1010 working the front counter inspected the tire and tells me the uneven tire wear is due to a bent rim, and therefore will not be covered by the warranty. I asked him if there was any chance this was due to a defect in the tire, and he said there was no such thing as defective tires. Furthermore, he said that if a tire ever did have a defect, they would have to recall the whole line of tires, so such a defect is highly unlikely. I said fine, as I believed him, and thanked him for checking and left. The following week, I took it to a wheel shop in Chilliwack to have my rim fixed. They checked my wheel and told me that my rim was NOT bent. They repeated what the Toyota dealership told me, that these were cheap tires, and that this tire was defective, or specifically, an "out-of-round" tire. Furthermore, they said that my tires had been deflated to 29 lbs when it should have been at 35 lbs. I asked him why would they do that, and they said underinflating tires is a way to hide defects in tires. I called 1010 tire and told them this and they flat out denied underinflating my tires. However, before I left 1010 tires just a few days prior, I asked them to check my tire pressure and balance my tires, which they confirmed that they did. So how else would my tires have become underinflated?? Finally, I took my car to the Richmond 1010 tire and they replaced my tire after some argument. They first tried to upsell me, asking if I just wanted to a buy a whole new set of tires since they were cheap. Overall, this defective tire cost me $309.99 between the cost of getting my alignment checked, and the mileage of taking my car to 1010 tire twice, first to be lied to by the coquitlam location (telling me the tire wear was due to a bent rim), and second to the Richmond location to get my tire replaced. The retail price of the tire was only 109.99. I am completely appalled that they would have the nerve to lie to me and tell me that the tire wear was due to a bent rim, and then underinflate the tires to hide any defects. Not only was this a financial issue, but also a safety issue. And what make me even more frustrated is that these tires are UNDER WARRANTY. It wouldn't have cost them anything to replace the defective tire, but they still chose to lie and send me on a runaround, costing me more money, time, and inconvenience. I will never ever go back to 1010 tire and would strongly advice others to go to purchase their tires more trustworthy establishments. read more

It took nearly 3 weeks for my tires to arrive. It would have taken over a month if I had not called them to change my order to tires they actually had in stock, even though they said they were in stock and they will let you know if your order will take longer. Neither was true. I spent nearly $2000 on a tire and wheel package which is suppose to include a road force balance. One of my tires showed up with no weights on it, not balanced at all. After taking to a service rep I was told I would be given $15 to have it balanced. Except a road force balance costs about $40 per tire. Do not waste your money on this company. read more

I called when the shop opened to get my spring tire change-over done and the guy said there were people already waiting. It's first come, first serve so I gunned it over there and the guy said "honestly, it will be an hour 1/2". Hey, he was honest about it. No biggie. The tiny store's walls are lined with rims and tires to tease the gear-heads and they have a table on top of a giant tire with magazines and chairs around it. It's kind of a weird set-up because you're facing all the other people waiting for their cars. Since, I had some time, I went out to do more errands and when I got back, the total bill was a bit less than he quoted due to my particular setup. I love it when they over-deliver! I ordered tires over the phone, and they called me when they arrived (within two days). I showed up early for my appointment, and they took my car in early, and got right to work. The disposal fee is only $1 per tire, which is awesome. The guy who greeted me was super efficient and easy to talk to. They also have free Wi Fi while you wait. My only complaint is that the other guy behind the counter didn't stop complaining about his unfortunate life the entire time I was in the waiting area. Placed an order on 11/27/2018 for 4 snow tires, 1010 Tires failed to mention that they were unable to get the tires through customs. While out of town the tires were shipped back to their warehouse where they refunded the price of the tires and not the shipping. After several calls I was finally able to get refunded the shipping cost of $130, on 1/15/2019. I purchased 4 tires via the 1010 website, and had them installed in this location. Did this due to the many positive reviews I saw here. While the tire ordering was relatively straight forward, the rest was not. Their website refers to their stores, but if you phone them to ask any questions, they indicate that the online business is a totally different business than the stores, so they don't provide info (then why are the stores discussed and advertised on the website as if they are an integrated business, including booking appts with the store??). I could not call the store to ask any questions as no one answers the phones there, one must drive there and ask one's question in person. Nevertheless, got through the installation only to lose a hubcap a day later because it was not re-installed properly ... the appt was very rushed. The response from Sofia from Customer Service to the situation was "... it is your responsibility to check that all is good before you leave our property. It is written on our invoice." They refused to help correct the situation. I do not have mechanical ability to check that the tires and parts are not going to fly off the car, that's why I was paying them to install the tires. I had a very good experience with 1010 tires. I had an unusual tire size (in between sedan and suv) and I shopped around quite a bit. 1010 tires had better selection then anywhere else (they were the only place to have falken's for example) and they were the only store to actually fully consider my needs and recommend the most practical choice for me; i.e. my car already had a bunch of mileage on it so I didn't want tires that were warrantied for 150 more k that were quite a bit more expensive. The prices they quoted were a few bucks cheaper than the closest alternative store. Installation was really quick and easy and the staff were friendly. All in all was a very good experience and I will definitely go back to them if and when my winter tires wear out. read more

Service is bad at Richmond location, order a set of tiers told me it will arrive next Tuesday, I can't wait that long so I called in and cancel the order and asking for a full refund, and the staff have to charge me for 5% re-stocking fee to cover the shipping and they told me they can't do a full refund on the phone with me, which I need to make a trip down to Richmond to do refund (OMFG). After the conversation they call me back an 1 hour later, saying they find another supplier that have the tiers I need and I told them I still insist for a refund, and they are willing to do a full refund for me on the phone. One of the rims was either damaged before shipping, or damaged in transit. I did not inspect them when I received them as I waited a month to install (until the weather got cold enough). I realize I should have taken the wrapping off and inspected, but ironically, I figured it was better to keep the wrapping on to avoid damage before installing! Even though I had pictures and the receipt from the tire installer clearly showing the chip before I installed them, 1010 tires had the audacity to write the below email to me, telling me that in their opinion, I was lying to them and that the chip happened after I had installed the rim/tire.
