I found this place on yelp and I arrived with a laundry list of recommended services from the bmw dealership. I was hesitant on all the services listed so I took my car to Steve for a second opinion. His technician, Marvin, was very thorough and detail on his inspection. For example, Marvin showed me the actual coolant and differential fluid color from my car versus what it should be. He tested parts that were in question by the dealership and showed me that it didn't really need fixing. I really appreciate their honesty and not trying to upsell me unnecessary services. My bmw has been serviced at the dealership for the past decade but I will be taking my future business here. The value and service just cannot be beat. Thank you Steve and Marvin.

Alas my 60,000 miles came up and I came upon this page. I texted Steve and he responded quickly. He asked for information about my vehicle and was able to accommodate me the next day. Quoted me a fair price and discounted rate if I paid cash. I dropped off the car at 8 and it was ready by 11. Unfortunately there's no waiting area so I took an Uber home. There is the Original Pancake House down the street (about a $6 Uber ride) or El Farolito Jr i could have killed time at, but I don't think it would be fair to stay for 3 hours. Steve was very professional and spoke to me like a pal, not intimidated or rude in any way like many mechanics can be to women. Price for my 60,000 mile service was extremely reasonable and I look forward to returning for my next service.

Insurance was covering, so price really wasn't an issue dor me. They aren't cheap, but they do amazing work. Turn around time was laid out in front of me, and they met the goal. It was a LONG process (read 1.5 months); if I didn't have a provided rental it may have affected my rating, but I did have one. Everything with the insurance process, getting me to/from the rental location, communication with me and the adjustor, and workmanship were all top notch. Ran into some issues on first attempt at a pick up, but they rectified it with fixing the issue, as well as transportation and delivery to the Irvine location. I then had wheels installed at the performance shop in Irvine. Again, it wasn't cheap, but they met all expectations. Shout out to Issa, Luis, Josh and all the of the SSR team that worked on my vehicle. If owners of high end luxury cars and supercars trust SSR, you should to. I purchased BMC performance air filters for my new Nissan Z here. I picked them up when they were…read moreready. When I tried to install them, they did not seem to fit correctly. I emailed them and got a response the next business day. After a couple of emails, they were willing to give me a refund. When I went back to get that done, I spoke to the owner, who asked if I'd mind letting him see the issue. I had no problem. The new filters were clearly of higher quality then the ones that came with the car. They also were made withy higher quality materials. That seemed to be the issue. The old filters fit very loosely into the air filter housing and the new ones did not fit easily. After a few minutes and some pictures, the owner discovered that the filters do fit, they are just far more snug. He as willing to give me the refund or have someone trim the filters. After they fit, neither was necessary. They'll work fine. I really appreciated how willing EDO was to deal with the issues I had, including giving me a refund, which I ended up not wanting. I already saw that they have a great selection of high end car lubricants and I will be back here to have them do the oil changes on the car. I came in to buy air filters and I left wanting to be a returning customer.

My feedback reflects my experience and the issues I faced…read more The EDO product line is strong, including the Tomioka Turbos. I purchased a used unit from a vehicle with a blown engine. The engine failure was not caused by the Tomioka turbo. The turbo held together through an internal engine implosion. The blade damage was minimal and no damages to the bearing, which shows the strength and build quality of the unit. EDO assisted with obtaining the missing components for this pre-owned kit. They supplied the required bolts, nuts, gaskets, couplings and the sensor in a fast and efficient manner. Due to current pricing and inflation, the total parts cost was about 1,000 dollars. The turbo kit has performed above expectation. My vehicle produces 361 hp and 301 tq at the wheels on flex fuel. I expect solid service from this pre-owned kit. If any issue arises, I take comfort in knowing a long-standing shop such as EDO Performance is available to support me.

Over several phone calls and texts, Kyle talked to me about the various options, gave me pricing and suggesions. I decided on a set of Ohlins Road and Track which Kyle sourced and even price matched for me. The install process did go longer than anticipated but this was because Precision German was trying to source a set of drop links for the Ohlins install that were difficult to get a hold of. He could have used a more readily available option but Kyle had a specific reason he went with the part he went with and I appreciate that he was thoughtful and deliberate about the install. I've got about 250 miles on the install and everything is running great. Would definitely recommend Precision German.
