I wish I could give them 10 stars! My daughter (whose 7) , myself and my bestie all went there Saturday to get pierced. My daughter was all set up and ready to go when she got scared and couldn't go through with it. We ended up leaving and during lunch, she decided she wanted to go back and get her ears pierced . So we went back and waited. Bradley and Andrea were so patient with her and understood her fears. They suggested she watch a video on the phone to distract her and taught her the proper breathing techniques. Well, it took her ALL day to muster her courage and we were the very last ones left and she FINALLY went through with it and got pierced. She was so proud of herself for doing it afraid and Bradley and Andrea celebrated her and told her they were proud of her too! Excellent customer service and professionalism! Highly recommend. I first came here in June 2022 to get an upper lobe piercing. It's a very clean and sterile environment and they have excellent service. Today I popped in to have the post on my piercing switched out as it was feeling too tight. I was seen right away by the same person who did my initial piercing. The quality of the staff is exceptional. Bradlee T. did my piercing and he took the time to get it right. I had an old piercing that was low and off center. I wanted the new piercing to be the main one so decided on small hoops in the old holes. I'd noticed the elegant minimalist rook and cartilage hoop on my friend's ear, so she took me here, where she'd gotten them. 101 piercing has a large selection of solid gold and titanium pieces. I was surprised how busy they were midday on a Friday, but the waitlist system was easy and kept you updated on progress. We just hung out in the area. About a year ago, a friend referred me here to have my nipples pierced. She had gotten hers done here among several other piercings and swore it was only place to go. Right away I noticed neither the man nor woman working seemed overly friendly. I ended up with the female piercer, I warned her that I tend to faint easily when pierced and she confidently told me I should be fine. Red flag - she did not place any kind of lubricant on the needle she used. I have 15 piercings so I'm fairly familiar with the process and used to that being standard, but brushed it off. Who am I to tell her what to do? #1 went fine, took longer than expected but nothing too abnormal. I got a light headed and asked for a sec before moving on, she seemed annoyed but gave me a pause. #2 It was a slow push through and way more painful than the first. She took her hands off and I was relieved, assuming that all that was left was placing jewelry. I said that wasn't as painful as I'd expected and she said "yeah we're about half done". Oh, no. It hadn't occurred to me that she had taken her hands off before completing the piercing - that's never happened to me before. Without warning she began to advance the needle again. I had time to get a full 2 or 3 sentences out before it was through my skin. Once the jewelry was placed I was light headed/seeing spots, she wanted me to stand and I told her I needed a minute. She waited a few and asked if I was better I said a bit but I needed a few more seconds. She seemed annoyed but brought me some cold water. When I got up to look at the piercings in the mirror, #2 little uneven -one end was more shallow than the other but they were cute and I was happy. We went out to pay, still a very awkward and uncomfortable vibe. We left and my friend immediately commented that they hadnt seemed in the mood for me and that the girl seemed irritated I almost fainted. Now, this would've been irritating but fine - I'm used to some piercing shops having a weird vibe and I'm also used to piercers being annoyed with me getting light headed. But, #2 never healed right. That side stayed irritated, was consistently painful, and was regularly producing a scab on one side that would heal and then come back without any known cause. I reached out a couple times via their email to ask about it but I never got a reply. I had a hard time getting them on the phone as this was peak pandemic and I work mid shift- they aren't open before work and they're closed when I'm off. The few times I tried to call they were closed or unable to answer. I noticed the piercing was migrating on the more shallow side and eventually became so shallow it could see the metal through the tissue so I just took it out. I had it about 6 months total. Around the time mine came out, the friend who referred me here took both of her nipple piercings out because one had been consistently painful and she noticed it was also migrating. I mentioned to her that they hadn't seemed particularly friendly here and she mentioned that the female was like that so she normally tried to see the Bradlee when she went. Recently, I went somewhere else to have the piercing redone. I told the piercer the healing complications with the last one as I was concerned it would happen again. He told me that from looking at the scar, and the piercing that hasn't rejected, he could tell they were both placed a little too shallow and that the rejected one had been crooked making it even more shallow than the healed one (I did not mention that to him). He explained that both the angle and how shallow the placement was likely caused the rejection. I noticed he placed a thick layer of lube on the needle before going to pierce and mentioned that wasn't done last time and asked if that was common and he seemed surprised and replied that it wasn't. The piercing hurt WAY less than the first time, took not even half as long, and if I compare old to new, is much more flush to my breast tissue as opposed to being mid thickness nipple - honestly, it looks way better and now I'm debating taking out the other one and getting it redone. I will say, I know several people who have gotten ear and face piercings here and swear by this place and maybe they're fine for that. They are also incredibly clean and have a huge selection of jewelry and those are the only reasons I left 2 stars. I won't be back. They are significantly more expensive than other shops - a price I'd be willing to pay if they weren't also unfriendly and hadn't apparently misplaced my piercing causing a significant amount of pain and even more expense to have it redone. read more

I only docked off 2 stars because of my SECOND visit here, otherwise it would have s been 5 stars...For my first visit, I got my nose pierced by Andrea, who is super attentive and answered all my questions since this was my first facial piercing. The shop is clean, with a great selection of jewelry. Bradley the owner/manager was very welcoming and attentive as well. My nose stud for me was too big initially so I asked if it was ok to change it out for a smaller one, and Bradley and Andrea said it was no problem. Fast forward almost 2 weeks later, my nose piercing fell out, and the shop was great communicating with me on what to do and said they could see me in the shop to change out my jewelry for a longer post. I was obviously nervous about the piercing falling out again so I asked Bradley questions about sizing etc when I came back (drove 2 hours to get there since I believed in their customer service). The thing that bothered me was the fact that Bradley tried to blame me for my piercing falling out because "I chose the small size diamond, which is more likely to fall out." First off, nobody ever told me that otherwise I would have never opted to go smaller. Second, Bradley himself was in the room that I had gotten pierced in while I was waiting for my friend's piercing to finish up, and when I asked him if in his professional opinion it was ok to switch out the gem for a smaller one he had said yes and never mentioned it being "more likely to fall out." Thirdly, he made up the story that I had gotten the larger diamond, left the shop and came back 2 hrs later to switch it to a smaller one. This is not true because I was in the shop still after getting my piercing done while waiting for my friend to finish with hers, so I never left and came back later. Also, I had to remind him of when I visited prior and what happened, so how could he suddenly remember that I "had left and came back 2 hrs later"? The kicker here, is that he was wanting to charge me for replacing my jewelry....WHAT?! What kind of customer service is this? Blaming the customer and then wanting to charge them to fix it as well? Luckily, Andrea was super understanding and actually listened to me and my concerns and addressed them accordingly. She fixed my piercing, and was very professional the whole time! I was shocked because Bradley seemed super nice and welcoming at first, but was quick to turn it around and blame me for my piercing falling out, when he's supposed to be the trusted professional in this area and supportive of the customer and their concerns. So disappointed in my encounter with him, but otherwise loved my experience with Andrea. read more

I didn't get pierced but was stopping by to change out an existing piece. I took forever to decide what type of jewelry I wanted. Every review mentions in some way how patient and kind the two piercers are there, and they are absolutely right! The place is very clean, and has a modern vibe to it. I got my septum pierced incorrectly at Enigma two years ago, and 4 months in to having been pierced my nose was still very sensitive. I ended up taking the piercing out. I recently got my septum done at 101 piercing 3 weeks ago and am experiencing essentially no sensitivity. Also, I can flip up my piercing with no problems whatsoever. Highly recommend. Bradlee is a soft spoken gentle soul who never lost his cool for even a moment during a busy Sunday of walk ins - everything from new piercings (like me, as well as a little tiny baby who didn't seem to appreciate him nearly as much as I did ) to jewelry change outs to dealing with an infection that was most certainly self inflicted due to careless hygiene. The piercing itself was quick and the placement was perfect (which matters even more when you're getting two side by side). I didn't catch the name of the young woman working with him, but they made a great team, working seamlessly to give their clients the best possible care and service. Staff were super nice and made sure to follow all COVID procedures. We had an appointment for 5:45 and finally seated in the chair at 6:30. Normally not a huge deal; however, we were there to pierce our 10 month old and definitely made for an interesting experience - hungry and tired babies are no bueno. Like I said, they're following COVID measures, super nice, but not realistic about how long appointments can last. Next time, we'll manage our expectations, feed the kids prior, and come for our appointment 15-20 minutes after the scheduled time. Overall, a good experience! read more

Definitely not disappointed. Everyone was so knowledgeable and they are very honest about how much it will hurt or if the piercing is suitable for your anatomy. Their jewelry can range from simple to fancy, so there is a big price range. It can definitely add up if you get multiple things pierced at once.
