Zero stars if I could. Only one guy there and he was supposedly having trouble getting his machines to work properly. He took my car in and when I returned, he said he can't smog any cars 2000 or newer because system in Sacramento was down. He forgot to give back my renewal paperwork before I left. so when I came back minutes later, he was smogging another car on a different machine that was newer than 2000 and said it's working again. His price was $85 without coupon. Company's website offered $10 off for any customer lowering the price to $75. I had a coupon for $65 for smog, so clearly he ditched my job, made some bs excuse, and went to the higher paying job. Never going back to this doofus. read more

We are a military family and we move around a lot. Every state has different requirements for registering your vehicles and making them road safe. California requires smog inspections in order to register your vehicle and so after spending our morning at the DMV we found ourselves here. I had called a couple other smog places but they were not very helpful to me. I think this was my third call and the lady on the phone was friendly and helpful and told me to bring the car over right away. When we arrived, it was just her and one technician and there was one person with an appointment ahead of us. We signed our car in and then walked down the row of stores to grab some donuts as a thank you for them getting us in. When we returned, the car was ready to go and they gave us their yelp discount which was about 50% off. We were thrilled about their prompt service, their friendly demeanor, and their pricing. As we got to talking with the lady behind the counter, we found out that she was not only military affiliated but also affiliated to submarines like us. Such a small world! We absolutely will be bringing our other car here this week to do its smog test in order to register that car as well.in fact, I already have an appointment for tomorrow to do just that. In the future, I will absolutely be returning here with the great service, the military friendly team, and the convenient accessibility right off of the freeway in the northern part of Petaluma. I really don't like writing negative reviews. There was one guy working there, and I understand that it's the end of the day and you probably just want to go home. However, he was condescending, rude, didn't really give me any advice at all about how to fix why I failed besides driving over 55 mph. He kept saying was that somebody killed the battery. At first he was too lazy to even manually enter the numbers on my registration. He kept asking me why I don't have a barcode on the registration. It's the one I got from the DMV, and he acted like it was somehow a fake. The previous owners of the car and myself can both confirm that the battery has not been dead for quite some time. A number of things were wrong from the start with this worker before the smog test even happened. The guy either needs to get fired or reevaluate his career because clearly he's not good at his job and can't even complete a task without swearing. And at the end of it, on top of all of that, I went to another smog place, and apparently there was no issue. This guy clearly did not know what he was doing. One of the worst customer service experiences, if not the worst that I've ever experienced. Fire the person or shut this place down read more

I was looking for a smog test only station. We called for appointment, Luis answered and told me how busy his appointments are but he could fit me in if I was able to come at 2pm and possibly wait. I had misplaced my registration renewal and found it later, realizing I was past due and needed to get the smog asap. It was Hot! That's why I am making a face in the photo. They had a couple of chairs in some shade, thankfully. I feel bad for Luis because it was even hotter inside the shop. Luis was busy when I arrived, was very nice and explained he would do his best to fit me in. I am a patient person and thanked him for fitting me in. A little after 2pm, Luis was able to get my van in and it passed, I was done about 15 minutes later. I could have renewed my registration there on the spot, but I needed to goto the dealership and have my computer updated, due to a recall. I received text messages reminding me of the date and time the smog was scheduled they were not busy and got to my car right away. the staff was professional and friendly. I waited in a chair outside for about 10-15 minutes and it was finished. they are Star certified and I received the certificate. the only reason I gave only 4 stars is because of the price. I had a $20 off coupon which brought their price down to $51.75 plus an additional $8 for the fee. this was the same price as their advertised special. there are many other places in the area that charge around $30 -$40 for the smog. some of them offer a car wash. overall I was very satisfied with everything except the cost. read more

I generally refrain from writing reviews but thought this was as good a reason as any! Not so much because the service was white glove or extensively lavish, but because it didn't pose the inconveniences so often found at other auto service locations. The service was fast, convenient, and completely transparent. Completely dishonest, they charged us $75, a simple hose was disconnected he showed it to me I said let me connect it, he said no I will have to bring it back, then he wanted to charge me another $41.00+ $8.00 for the certificate.
