I needed my suv star smogged which is a specific smog place and I called around and got the best deal from this place. It's $53 dollars with a credit card and only $48 with exact cash required! So I figured I'm in for the $48 but there was a problem with my suv because it needed an O2 sensor so I then took it to my mechanic and his name is Tim Lynch with T&K Automotive Repairs he does it in half a day and I go back to RJ at 101 Expressway Smog and the thing is you have to drive a certain number of miles to get the whole thing reset. RJ tells me this so I went out and drove it around for a couple of days take it back to RJ and he charges me next to nothing to have it done the 3rd. Time!! How great at that!! I've been going to 101 smog since 2010 & always was very pleased with the customer service & quality of workmanship. This time when I arrived I walked to were the office had always been & got chastised by some fellow for being in his shop & it didn't end there. He continued to berate me about not noticing his signs he installed outside, showing up 10 minutes early for my appointment & telling me I didn't park my car in disability parking space to his liking... I decided to go to Hansley Smog were I was treated like a 5 star customer & I might add was a better deal. I'm giving 101 smog 1 star because I can't give 0 stars. Not sure if 101 Smog is under new ownership but it's not the business I remember using & recommending to my friends & neighbors.. PS.. by your reply you can see your poor customer service ... you were very rude & the other customer told me that you quoted as saying i was wrong & was your 2:45p app said what a A÷= you were. I never said I wanted her appointment. If you look at your reviews this isn't the 1st time for poor customer service skills. Oh I'm sorry my 7lb dog scared you I know how intimidating he is. I made a appointment for a smog check at 101 express. My car is fairly new, so this was the first time I've needed to get a smog check. Another shop I have been using for years is no longer in business. I found 101 here on yelp. I have to say that it was a very good experience. I had 2:00 appointment, they were right on time and had me out of there in about 20 minutes. The waiting room is a tad shabby, but what the heck. 101 will nicely replace the old shop I previously used. I highly recommend. read more

Great clean shop, beyond reasonable price and friendly staff, Fernando & RJ really took care of me. I told them my air bag had been replaced that day, they feared the car computer would have to reset itself, so they put a meter to it & sure enough it would not have passed. I returned after a week of driving and it was as ready to smog as predicted. I generally like this place because it is very close by so it is convenient, however, I called today to get my 95 jeep smogged and they sad they could not smog anything 95 and older as their equipment is down. But I know the real reason is because it is not worth it to them to smog older cars. It takes longer and the payoff is not as good as getting 5 newer vehicles done in the same timeframe.
