David Lemus has always been very helpful and accommodates me even when there is a lot of people. They are very busy since they offer good and fast service. Sadik took care of me last week when I bought a new car. I was going to do the smog and then go to the DMV to transfer the title. Sadik and his associates got me in and out in 15 minutes and they offered to take care of the title transfer for me in their location. They saved me hours of my day that I could better spend studying for my midterm exam. Another 10-15 minute process and I was free for the rest of the day. My dad has been bringing his cars to A Smog Test Only for about 20 years and this is the only place I ever come to for my smog tests. Great place to get you vehicle smog tested. A very efficient operation with 2 techs and 3 work bays. Testing was completing every 10 minutes when I was there (with no appt). Would definitely recommend. sending my daughter there today for her test. read more

I can only give 3 stars. Even though the smog took less then 30 mins and the staff was very friendly and was able to use the coupon for $10 bucks off. The reason for 3 stars is I also needed my DMV tags. Unfortunately Dave wasn't in. I was told to come back on Saturday, I couldn't go back until the following Friday. I got there and was told that I couldn't get my DMV tags because Dave wasn't in and apparently he's the only one that can do them. This is a great place but they need to cross train the employees so if the DMV guy isn't in there's another person to take over. I ended up going to the Petaluma DMV and was unable to obtain or pay my registration was told it needed to to be 90 days late! Was told to go to Santa Rosa DMV and use the kiosk. It was peak traffic hour and Petaluma to Santa Rosa was about a 40 minute drive . Not unhappy service was great! But trying to obtain my tags not so great. Went home and did it on line . Have to wait for snail mail to deliver my tag. read more

3 stars isn't a bad review, it's considered "OK" by Yelps standard & that's what this whole experience was, just ok if even that. I was sent here by 101 Smog as they are not a Star station & A Smog Test Only is a Star station, which is what I needed for my vehicles registration. I called them while at 101 Smog & was told it would be a total of 40 minutes so I rushed over to their establishment which was only about 5 minutes away. When I got there I was told it would be 40 minutes before they would even start working on my car & an additional 40 minutes to complete the job. In other words 1 hour & 20 minutes instead of 40 minutes. The person in the office (who was the same person that I spoke to on the phone) asked for my cell phone number & email & said I would be contacted when the job was completed. So with that I walked down the street as I didn't feel like sitting in their waiting from for an hour & 20 minutes. Well 4 hours later I still had not received any call, text or email that my car was ready so I walked back over, go into the office & no one is there. I'm there for a few minutes waiting, saying "hello, anyone here?" & then left to go to the garage area to find someone. I ask if there's anyone to help in the office & I'm told someone is in there to which I said I was there for a few minutes calling out with no response. Then I said that I'm assuming my car is done since it's now in a different parking spot, and at that point I'm told it passed smog. I looked at this person in the garage & responded with "Really? It's been 4 hours & no one has contacted me to say it's done". The look on his face is of shock & it's priceless! I got back into the office & this time the same office person has returned. I commented to him that it's been 4 hours & he never contacted me to say my car was done. I kid you not, all I got was a blank stare. Would I use this business again? Probably not unless it was an absolute emergency or I wanted to waste half my day waiting around (I actually had plans & had to cancel). read more

If you need a smog these guys are quick and solid. Everything you'd expect from a smog with professionalism. They were recommended from a local restoration shop down the road on executive. I will be back every time I need a smog done. Support your local business especially if they are doing what they should. Why go out of your ways if you don't need to? Here's the deal. These are hard working people and they got the job done. My year 2000 vehicle passed smog and that's why I came here. But here's the most important info you need to know before you go. If you use your Valpak discount coupon (available via mail or the Valpak web site), you do not get a free retest if you car fails smog. After studying the fine print on the coupon it does indeed say this. But it was an unwelcome surprise and annoying to have to decide whether to use the coupon on the spot. I almost caved in to paying the extra money just to play it safe. Why put your customers through this kind of used car salesman high pressure sales game? People have been complaining about this coupon on yelp since 2017. Don't expect them to make the coupon more clear. But now you know the game and can decide for yourself before you show up. read more
