Bob and all the staff at One Stop are wonderful to work with. For 14 years now they've been the only oil change and repair shop our family has used. Often I've gone in with a small problem and they go above and beyond to take care of it right away. On longer repairs, the communication is great and they are always very fairly priced. Used to be a great place when Bob was the service manager. The new dude is terrible at his job. Zero communication - I had to call repeatedly to get an update. Don't call at lunch. He likes a long lunch. And don't call after 5:00. He doesn't do OT. When you do get in touch with the leader, he is not professional and more than a little bit of an arse. He told me that the parts my vehicle are no longer made/available. While he was on the phone, I did a quick Google search and found them available. He told me that those places were not OneStop vendors. I also found them at Landmark up on Prairie Crossing - they asked me why OneStop didn't just call them? I won't take my kid's skateboard there as long as the new lead is running things. I am guessing he is a great wrench turner, but he is the absolute worst customer service person that I have ever dealt with. I could write a ton more, but trust me, they are now terrible - not the fault of the mechanics. It is due to one person. read more

Do not do any kind of business with them you can take your car in to get something done and they will always tell you something else is going on to have you to come back. I was overly charged and they damaged my vehicle when I came to pick it up customer service is very rude made a complaint. Created a Yelp account just to post how poor this company is. Took my girlfriends 2013 Cruze in for a basic oil change. We sit in the lobby waiting for over 2 hours I finally ask if the car is done as I see the clerk walking back and forth about 3 times with her keys in his hands. He says "almost seems like we found some problems" as he keeps clicking his keys on the computer. He said the car has less than 1/6th oil in the car and was leaking awfully and needed a gasket replaced and he said a few other bs things. Total came out to $980 dollars mind you we are young college students. I said wouldn't a low oil pressure light come on since it had barely any oil? He said no not on your model on the newer ones yes (our model does have that feature btw he was lying) . So an $80 oil change turned into a $980 fix. No thanks, denied all of what they said and only paid for the oil change. Took it to another mechanic and they said there is absolutely nothing wrong with the car. What a way to try to take advantage of young college students huh? read more

Scheduled an appt bx am driving 50 minutes away traveling to this business due to them being in a network of repair shops for my car warranty. I arrived 15 minutes ahead of my appt only to be barely acknowledged by the two men at the counter. I sat and waited for a couple minutes and listen to them call supply shops, other customers, but never acknowledged me. I left, called and canceled the appt and went to another shop. They will NEVER see me again and I called the contract company to complain as well. No thanks /good riddance! read more

I'm disappointed. I'm giving 3 stars because they did fix my car. But friendliness and communication go a long way when you're in the business field. It took 22 days to fix what was supposed to only take a few days. Parts kept getting delayed (not their fault) but wrong parts were ordered and upon having help doing research, parts were easily found in Chicago. I was told they couldn't find them. Then on days when my car was told it would be done, I'd have to call the next day to find out why it wasn't. They never contacted me. And when I did, they were rude. The lady behind the counter wouldn't speak to me when I walked in, just looked at me and raised her eyebrows as if to say "what do you want". Then when it finally was fixed and they called to inform me of this, I just get "it's done, come get your vehicle" in a rude manner. I know they were just as annoyed as I was in it taking this long, but I was VERY nice the whole time, whereas I'm sure others would not have been. I was a mile away when my car broken down so figured it made most sense to have it towed there. I won't be back, but I'm sure they won't be sad about it. read more

I believe in shopping local, but I will not visit this shop in Chatham again. The guys behind the lobby-area counter were pleasant enough, but after a day and a half of keeping our car they said the cause of our car's overheating was due to someone putting StopLeak into the radiator, which ruined it. A friend recommended we get a second opinion before allowing One Stop to replace the radiator at a cost of $496, so we took our car to Ellenburg's Radiator in Springfield. Within an hour Dan Ellenburg called and stated he saw no trace of StopLeak, the radiator was fine, and a failed coolant fan was the cause of the overheating problem. Dan replaced the fan and the car was ready that same day. If we had allowed One Stop to replace the radiator, a broken coolant fan would've brought us right back to an overheating problem, which is a threat to engine failure. Not sure if One Stop is good at other mechanical diagnoses, but they are NOT radiator technicians and the StopLeak sounded like an outright lie. Again, we were treated courteously there, but knowing we may have been out the cost of a radiator AND a coolant fan in the end infuriates me. Be wary of this place. read more

Can't say enough about the way I was treated here at 1stop in Chatham. Had some major work done and I needed my vehicle back in two days max. They did the work in less than two full days and even offered me a loaner if I needed. I always go for an oil change and never have an appointment but never wait long. If you are a woman do not step foot in the place and expect good care. They will patronize you and treat you like you're an idiot. Any work I've ever had done here SOMETHING is wrong. EVERY. SINGLE. I'm really not happy with this place. 1) Immediately after an oil change, I noticed a leak. I took it back. They said it was an oil pan gasket. They replaced it. Kept leaking, they replaced the oil pan gasket again. Kept leaking. The third time, they decided to look elsewhere. Turns out I was leaking transmission fluid from a connector. This was fixed at Schlossers. 2) I went in for an estimate on my suspension. $600. Half of this was for 2 parts. I took the part numbers, plugged them into amazon. I got both of the exact parts that they were going to use for under $100 total--same parts, same manufacturer, bought from a major parts distributor. They tried to up charge my parts over 300%. I understand that shops have margins, but 300% is outrageous. 3) Because of the upcharge, I took the car elsewhere to have the control arms replaced. I took the car in the next day to have an alignment (the shop I went to cannot do this). They could not complete the alignment supposedly because *all four* of my control arms (including the ones replaced less than 24 hours ago) and tie rods are bad. To top it off, a friend who is a mechanic revealed that an aligment was not even necessary for control arm replacement. 4) When I asked *why* this was not on my original estimate, they admitted that an unqualified individual was the one who had written it up! 5) Needed rust repair. Took it to them for an estimate. They made a verbal estimate of about $700. When I called to make the appointment for the repair, it jumped to $900. I took the car to Phoenix Collision. They charged just over $700, and the car looks fantastic. 6) Now looking at my receipts, the original estimate was for an upper and lower control arms. The part numbers on these estimates were for two upper control arms, which is what I purchased, and what was replaced. 7) And this is really small potatoes when compared to the above, but they are never on time. Last time I went in for an oil change, they said it would take a half hour. I waited at the shop for an hour and a half for them to complete an oil change. In short: do not go here if you need anything more than an oil change, or if you have a vagina. You will get robbed, they will lie, or simply not know what they are doing. 12/8 edit: I took the car to two different shops. Of the $1500 estimate, I need two $20 parts installed, and then an alignment afterwards. Total? $40 for parts, $90 for install, and $50 for an alignment. $180. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Be very leery of taking your car to this place. They do not know how to properly hook up tubes to radiators. They also put my husband's air filter in backwards, and they did not warn me about a bad tire I had. The people who work there seem to be really nice. It's sad that their mechanics have no idea what they are doing. Will never be back. read more

I would give this less stars if possible. We have had the same tire plugged/patched 3 times, took it elsewhere and they were able to patch it and it held. We have had multiple services done on our cars at this shop and each time we get a call that they found something else and the price goes up and up. When I called to make an appointment for service on my car and was told by the male who answered the phone that he "has dealt with my husband before and I should have my husband call him to make the appointment" that was the last straw. I try to shop local but we will be going elsewhere from now on. I made an appointment with another auto shop and was also charged significantly less. Never again. read more

I am very, unsatisfied with this business, and am preparing a small business claim. Took it to them because I had a knock in my engine, it was out of oil, I was at fault. Recommended a new engine. Gave me an out the door price of $3700 with a 12 month warranty. Spoke with some friends and vehicle savvy people, and came to the conclusion that, that wasn't terrible. Went ahead and did it. All as fine until three weeks and while I was driving, my O/D off light started flashing, and I could not go over 40 mph, and the transmission kept missing. I got it to a repair shop, and come to find out there was not a drop of transmission fluid in the engine! Mechanics checked for leaks, there was no obvious signs. I told them that I had just had the engine replaced. They informed me that when the engine is pulled away from the transmission, you lose a significant amount of transmission fluid. Long story short, they replaced the engine and did not replace the fluids, which has now caused my transmission to completely go out, and they are refusing to take responsibility, even though several licensed mechanics have informed them of their negligence. read more
