We did get what we needed but determined there were additional issues . We located a hotel and started calling shops. Many were totally booked out for several days. Fortunately, we received a different response from Johnson and Johnson. They agreed to check our vehicle if we could get it to them. Another AAA tow achieved that and they felt confident they could fix it. We spent the rest of the morning there. All staff were friendly and polite. They offered donuts, water, pop, and coffee. The waiting area had comfortable chairs and was very clean. Restrooms were also clean. The staff kept us abreast of what they found and that they would be able to get parts and repair today. They were fair and transparent on pricing and accomplished getting us back on the road within hours instead of days. We were very happy to support a small business with capable and friendly staff.

A friend who lives in Springfield recommended I check with Johnson & Johnson as she always had a positive experience at a fair rate. She called, I dropped off my vehicle, they replaced the bulb for an extremely small fraction of the price my dealership quoted me. If I ever need vehicle repairs or maintenance while I'm in Springfield I will have my vehicle serviced at Johnson & Johnson!

In all, they did an oil change, tire rotation, transmission service and coolant service (my list) as well as new brake pads on the front and rear and a support arm and ball joints on the front wheels. All total, I spent $2,300, but because I had signed up for the Loyalty Program when I took my car in for an oil change, I saved more than $200. While I have tended to have dealers service vehicles, my experience has caused me to rethink that and I will remember One Stop Auto Shop for my future vehicle needs. I was treated fairly, courteously, and the work was done in a transparent manner.

I had them do an oil change on my 1973 Mercury Cougar and was told I needed an oil pan because the…read moreexisting pan was rusty and leaking, they found one online for over $600.00 so I found my own from West Coast Classic Cougar for $ 85.00. was charged $884.83 to replace a part that had at most 10 bolts to swap out. It was a simple swap nothing from the suspension needed to be removed, so I am perplexed about the inflated labor cost. I would strongly advise anyone with a classic vehicle to avoid this shop at all "cost" I received a call from Steve explaing the high labor cost to do the oil-pan swap and in the beginning he did inform me that his labor cost books did not go back that far for a 53 year old vehicle so in all fairness I googled the process of replacing said oil-pan and found out that the motor did need to be raised to allow room to make the swap. Steve did explain this to me but when I said that was his opinion boy did his demeanor change and as others have commented he did get rude. so I am amending my review to be fair to the shop; but I still would not recomend this shop for classic car repair. It is sad that it is very difficult to find a reputable repair shop in Springfield for classic cars.
