I wanted to take a moment and post a recommendation for HTM, and Ally Cruikshank more specifically…read more I found them via an internet search when I was looking for a good massage place close to where I live. I was not looking for a soothing Swedish massage at that time. I had injured myself and I was looking for someone that could get down and into the root of the problem and work it out for me in a way that I could not. Enter Ally Cruikshank. I set up an appointment with her after I read a couple of reviews left for her by customers that were pleased with their results. When I went in, my back and neck had pretty much gone into full spasm. I could not turn my head at all. Everything was strung so tightly in my body that even breathing seemed to hurt. I was delighted to find a gap in her schedule on the very day that I was looking for help, and I booked it without hesitation. I only booked a half hour session, thinking that was all that would be needed, especially as the focus was to be my neck and upper back area. I like the location of the business. It is very convenient for me. The office area is small and simple, but warm and inviting. The massage room was a treat. Low lighting, warm freshly laundered sheets and towels, soft soothing music playing in the background - everything that you would expect at a decent massage place. I explained to Ally what was paining me and why, and she went right to work. Her hands expertly dug right in. You could tell right away the level of her experience, as she could feel every tight tendon and muscle and set about trying to ease the tension. I didn't even have to tell her what really hurt because she could tell. She also found a bunch of spots that hurt and were tight that I didn't even realize hurt until she started to work the area. I could have easily booked an hour and would have still needed more time to work out all of my kinks, but a half hour was a good start and eased the sharp edges of my pain. Ally explained to me that I could become a regular if I liked, and book the same slot every month. There is a price discount given when you are a regular like that, which is awesome too. A great massage at a discount - what's not to love?? ;) I decided to go for it and become a regular. I also upped the time to a full hour. I now see Ally once a month every month, and I look forward to my visits. Ally helps keep me limber and loose. I walk out of my appointments feeling like a million bucks, and like I could take on the world and do anything! It is a small splurge for the benefit that my body is receiving. I am spending what someone might pay for 2 visits to the nail salon each month. That is a bargain in my book, and while I enjoyed having my nails done while I was doing that, this is SO MUCH BETTER. My whole body thanks me for it. I highly recommend Ally Cruikshank and HTM. I cannot speak about the other therapists as I have never worked with any of them, but if Ally is any indication, I'm betting it's a great group. Give them a try - you'll be glad you did!! I am thoroughly disappointed in my experience here. I called the night before to book a Combo…read moremassage (30 min foot and 30 min body). When I walked in today the woman was surprised I was there and could not understand what service I was there for even though I pointed to it on the menu a few times. After finally getting on the same page I was brought to a room with multiple chairs. She put my feet in a bucket and then massaged my arms and hands but only used lotion on my right arm and not my left which I found very odd and actually a bit painful. When it was time for the foot massage, she spent a lot of time massaging BONEY PARTS of my feet and legs. She spent a lot of time on my KNEES which I had to tell her multiple times to stop because it really hurt. She spent time on my shins and the tops of my feet and individual toes... I literally cannot stress enough how much time she spent on my knees... After all of that she only spent about 7 minutes per foot and did not even touch my heels which was the biggest reason for going in. After this she told me to follow her to a room which I'm assuming was for the body massage. She led me to the room, pointed to the bed, shut the curtain and left. I had no direction of what to do, and I didn't see a blanket or gown to be dressed or covered in so I decided to just not go through with the body portion of the massage. I went up to the desk asked if I could tip on the card and after about 5 minutes she presents a higher price than the menu showed so I tipped 18% (to compensate for the price difference) said thanks and left. She looked at the receipt and stared me down as I was walking to the parking lot. I would NOT recommend this facility for any service at all. My feet still hurt and now my knees hurt too.
