It's a house with a commercial area on the first floor. Chen Chen was my massage therapist and he's one of the best I've gotten. Not too hard and not too soft. I love the Tui Na that he applied. I also asked for firm, when it came to the different levels. Before you do your massage, they also have you fill out a form stating which areas you'd like to target, which area you don't want them to touch and any specific problems you have. I really like that they ask before hand. When you're done, they also give you some water, which is thought. Overall, nice clean place, and I will definitely come back again.

The place itself is nice on the inside but the outside looks like it's someone's house. Don't let the outside look deter you from walking in. They have a room big enough to do couples massages. Most other places I've been to just place you in different rooms. It's a no frills place with some serious experts who know Chinese massage. Price is right too. Wife and I plan on going regularly.

I arrived on time but my person was late which was fine but they immediately showed me to a room to wait in even though it wasn't cleaned yet. Kinda torn on this. Overall the place was fine…read more Probably would give it 3 stars for simply existing and an additional star for the nice people that were there. There was however 1 masseuse (female) that was really rude for no good reason. I was having a foot massage and the place was dead, so my gf asked to sit in the massage chair next to me. One of the nice masseuses said absolutely and out of nowhere came this mean lady who pointed rudely to the chairs across the room. Then after my gf decided to join in, she got the same lady that told her to sit on the other side. Lol. I had to use the restroom at one point and my masseuse was going to stop the timer. But the same rude lady who was working on my gf stopped to tell her not to (in Chinese). I was a bit incredulous to even hear her tone of voice. It was like we were annoying her to even be there. I happen to speak Chinese, so I spoke directly to my masseuse and asked her to stop it. Which she did kindly. Would have been a fine and enjoyable experience but that one lady ruined it for everyone.

So... this was hands down the most bizarre massage experience I have had…read more I've had approx. 20 massages thus far, ranging from $10 nail salon massages to $150 NYC spa massages. I stumbled upon this place as I walked down Beacon Street in Washington Sq. and I had been craving a deep tissue massage, so I just walked in. First of all, the place didn't have much charm, but I was OK with that. I pay for the quality of massage; not the frills. I waited a few minutes and then I was taken into a room. Everything seemed customary up until this point... I am lying down, ready for my deep tissue massage, and the woman who assisted me comes into the room. She begins working. As soon as I am getting into my massage, a phone rings-- so, she says "sorry" and stops the massage to go answer the phone. I thought "how weird!". She comes back in and starts the massage again. Then, things got weirder... Another woman comes in and starts working on me too. So, they are both massaging me, speaking in Mandarin Chinese, as I attempt to relax. It ruined the experience of what should have been a peaceful massage. I contemplated getting up and going, but the massage felt good, so I stayed and figured I wouldn't really tip much, if at all. The phone rings for a second time. The lady who started working on me first leaves for the second time. I am left with the other woman who joined her. She is still working. It felt awkward and unprofessional. I have never experienced anything like this before. 1. During a massage, the therapist is NOT supposed to leave... especially not to go pick up the phone! I have never had this happen before during any prior massage. (I would understand if it were an EMERGENCY, but I do not think this was...) 2. Generally, 1 individual works on you; not 2, unless you request 2 people, I suppose. 3. Talking during a massage is also unprofessional. Especially when two massage therapists are speaking loudly, to each other. PS: It wasn't cheap. 70 bucks for a massage! DO NOT GO HERE!

The same thing that happened to the person who got the phone call interruption double team thing happened to me. And I read this review before I went!!! OK- take all your clothes off and put your head in this hole - it puts one in a tough place for assertive decision making. I AM SO MAD! "Is it OK if we both work on you for 25 minutes" instead of the hour I paid for? A mediocre at BEST 20 minute massage. They told me I fell asleep to try to fake out a few minutes- I did not fall asleep and I did not like them, the massage room or their attitude. Then I gave the woman a tip- and she looked at it and said "Is this for both of us"? In perfect English!!!! Of course during the entire 20 minutes of 'Chinese massage(!)' I am trying to tell them I have lower back pain- nothing- just hushed Chinese and patronizing broken English. But when it comes tipping time- they want $40!!!??? $70 'massage', $40 tip is $110 better spent on penny whistles and moon pies.

I never had an Ashiastu massage before, but looking into it, decided to give it a try since my back pain was flaring up and I needed help. I was very impressed with how much better this type of massage feels over the typical ones I get. An Ashiastu massage is the type where they walk on your back, but it is much more than that. I had a hard time believing how much she could manipulate her feet and my muscles with them, just amazing. I'm very much looking forward to my next visit.
