Many of these reviews are 6 to 8 years old and reference other massage therapists that no longer work here so if I were you I would discount those. In addition they utilized groupons which have not been offered for many years, prior ownership. All I can say is when I go I request Lindsay and have found here to be the nicest, most talented, professional respectful masseuse I have ever had. She is an absolute expert in technique, pressure, and the human body anatomy. I am an older man and love to exercise, as a result she has actually "cured" elbow tendonitis, lower back pain, bodily strains, rotator cuff tears, and I could go on and on. Many spas therapists come and go, but if you are smart and lucky you will make an appointment with Lindsay. Please treat her with respect and tip well, she is a diamond in the ruff!!!!!! read more

I can highly recommend this place. Cherry (or maybe Sherry) is polite, professional and has great hands. She made me feel very relaxed and gave a great massage. I have been working out more since new year and muscles have been getting tight. I asked her to work mainly on my arms, shoulders and back. She really know what she's doing - she found and eased out all my tight spots and I felt so much better afterwards. She finished up working on my feet too and I was surprised much tension was released from there. This will be my goto place from now on. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. I've been here 3 or 4 times now. I was introduced by Groupon. The prices are always changing and it's irritating to not know the set pricing even though there is a sign.... It even states that there is a percent discount for cash payments. I always pay in cash and I tip well. Even so, they charged me more than what the sign states and they always have a BS reasoning for it. This has happened twice. I've had to speak to the owner to have this fixed. Overall the pricing is not bad compared to other places. It's a little more than a dollar per minute. As for the massages, there are 2 styles that I've experienced. An American or Chinese-style massage depending on the who you get. I prefer the American style and it's pretty great. read more

I have had problems with my knees for years. Sore and numbness is a regular feeling. On different occasions I have had both Linda and May working on my knees and the work of both of them has lasted weeks. The comfort I feel is so good that I will drop by every couple of weeks for a half hour or maybe more and have only my knees worked on. I cannot say enough at how well their manipulation works. I also have noticed there is some Chinese balm of some sort that they have used and WOW does it work. I leave there with such freedom of movement and have no clicking or stiffness. Sure the process may be a little intense but the results are a miracle. read more

I bought a groupon for a 60 minute Swedish massage. Worst massage ever. The lady kept on telling me to relax, then she took a phone call! I can't believe she took a phone call during my appointment, the lady never apologized and kept on saying I needed to relax my body. It is pretty hard to relax in my opinion when someone is talking on the phone. Never coming back here. read more

I really wanted to like the massage but to be honest, it was truly lackluster. I got a Groupon to try out a massage at Holistic Zen Spa in Lexington. I went there last night and had a one hour Swedish massage. I've had lots of massages in my life, and this was one of the worst. The therapist did not speak much English so she didn't understand my requests or instructions. I'll be honest and say that I'm not sure that she was a licensed massage therapist - she just didn't seem to follow the normal approach that most massage therapists use. I kept hoping during the course of the hour that things would get better - but they never did. It was more of a rubbing of body parts than a true massage. Licensed massage therapists know the anatomy and know the right techniques to use to perform a massage. My "massage therapist" last night seemed like a rank amateur. My massage was neither Swedish nor Deep Tissue (even though I asked for Swedish) I'm sorry to give a bad review - I would have preferred to say nicer things. This is not a place to get a real massage. It's a place to get an inexpensive rubdown. I wish them the best of luck. read more

I bought a groupon for a 60 minute Swedish massage and it was pretty good. The space the therapist has is clean and welcoming. I felt a little rushed, especially because I was wearing multiple layers but other than that I really have no complaints. I wouldn't go back unless I had a special deal like a groupon. read more

I went to Holistic Zen Spa to treat myself for my 50th birthday! I could not say better things about Linda - she found trouble spots I did not know existed! I told my friend, "It was as if she took me apart and put me back together!" I am training for my first 5K and a Muck Fest in May, so I exercise a LOT. Linda made me feel rejuvenated and 15 years younger! I look forward to returning! read more

I visited this spa for the first time this weekend and was very very happy with the massage. I have been having trouble with my shoulder and neck for several weeks and nothing would resolve the pain. However, after I my therapy session, I have been pain free. My therapist was extremely knowledgeable about how much pressure to apply and where to apply it.
