Super nice staff. We got assam black with boba and mango tea. Make sure you know you can change sweetness level, we got 50% sweet in the black and it was just a hair too sweet so totally acceptable. The mango we forgot to mention and it was a bit too sweet but still ok by his standards. (Too sweet to me)
Personally i'm not a huge fan of this boba, the boba doesn't have much flavor and has a pretty unsatisfying texture. it feels inconsistent throughout and the outside is nice and chewy but inside feels weird and undercooked. But sometimes you get smaller pearls that are wayyyy too overcooked and just kinda fall apart. I got the Green Tiger, a tiger is using the assam black tea and then adding the brown sugar boba syrup as well. The drink itself was pretty solid, nothing too special in my opinion but tastes good. My partner got the green thai tea and I thought it was abysmal, it basically tasted like nothing. She added more sugar but it still tasted like extremely watered down tea. It lacked any real flavor and if I wasn't told it was supposed to be green thai tea I wouldn't have a clue what I was drinking. Service was super fast and nice, no complaints there. When we asked questions and to add more sugar they had no problems. They also provided board games and food if you wanted to hang out, overall seems like a solid place to bring friends. It's connected to ijji so I bet you the food is great, the tea is solid but i'd recommend passing on the boba.
I came here specifically to try the green Thai tea after seeing many positive reviews for it. I was in fact quite disappointed, as the drink had basically no flavor to it. The boba was also quite flavorless and not very sweet, as well has having an inconsistent texture throughout. Some bobas were nice and chewy on the outside, but hard on the inside, while others were so overcooked they were almost dissolved. The only thing that saved the green tiger was the brown sugar syrup which took over in flavor. Overall I'm not too picky when it comes to my boba but I was honestly extremely let down by this. I will probably stick to other places in reno going forward.
Fast and clean environment. The service was fast, and the drinks were delicious. Drinks were refreshing for a hot day.
Bummed to have to leave this review, but I can't not mention it for safety reasons: ordered a matcha milk tea with boba and coffee jelly, along with two other drinks, and my drink tasted okay -- I think the matcha could be mixed in a bit better but the flavor is fine. Only concern is this metal-looking thing came up my straw while I was drinking. It's good that i immediately noticed a different texture so I didn't bite down and swallow, but it is a bit sharp and could have been a totally different scenario if I did end up gulping this down with my boba or coffee jelly! Eek!
Love this place - the decor is super cute and the drinks r so good - this is their second location they have one in midtown near California st I Always get the almond smoothie with boba and lychee jelly - I don't think this is on the menu but it's my fave and they make it really yum
I've been wanting to try this boba place and I was in this area. They weren't busy when I went in, so service was fast! Prices were $4-6 per drink. The interior design gives a warm and welcoming feel. It is connected next door to the Ijji noodle restaurant, so it can get loud when they are busy. Otherwise, it would be a great place to sit back and hangout with friends or study. I ordered the Vanilla Chai, Jasmine, and Matcha Milk Teas all with boba. The vanilla chai is like a cinnamon roll made into a drink lol. The Jasmine had the perfect amount of tea to milk ratio giving it enough tea flavor, but not too overpowering. The matcha did not have enough matcha flavor. The boba tasted like it was made in-house. I wished it was not as hard, chewier, and had added sugar because there's a lack of flavor within the boba. Their menu was extensive, so I would definitely come back to try another drink!
Really good boba I got the chai tea! I definitely recommend this spot and if you're hungry, there's a restaurant next to it.
I love boba! And I have a friend who had never tried it, so we went to this 1, 2 Tea location by her house. It was the best possible place to take someone who is new to bubble tea! The service was SO friendly and welcoming, and the person (dang I forget his name) helping us even offered samples of the toppings (which is apparently a confusing term if you are new to this world - I think a more accurate term is mix-ins or something. But I digress). We tried some and they were great, especially the egg pudding, which is like custard. But I was glad to have tried it because I didn't really want the texture of it in my drink. The menu has lots of options and my normal go to is Thai tea with boba, but I wanted to try something new. Since it was 1000 degrees outside, I thought a fruit tea might be extra refreshing and opted for mango. And I had the option to make it SPARKLE! Fizzy drinks are my favorite, and the mango was a good flavor (it can be so fake and gross, I was worred but did not need to!) and the boba was delicious and I was SO happy! My friend got the Thai tea and said it was super tasty too. An excellent first boba experience, yay! We also got some food. I got a banh mi, which is listed as one of the snacks on the menu at 1, 2, Tea. They also gave us a menu for Ijji 3 - so extensive! and when we asked how to order, the (again, amazingly helpful) person said he'd have someone from Ijji come over and take out order. So that service was excellent too and the ramen and my pork banh mi were great. Basically...all our food and drink dreams came true! I also really like that there are tall booths at 1, 2 Tea - for privacy and covid-safety reasons. Next time, I gotta get one of those lightbulbs...for sure I will be back! I want to try Ijji's poke, too - they sounded so good.
I think if happiness could come from anywhere, it would probably come from one of the drinks right here. And in my personal opinion, it would be the Matcha Milk Tea w Raspberry (yes, raspberry) and COCONUT JELLY! Soo, I can finally cross trying this place off my 'To-Do' list and it paid off biggo time-o!! The staff welcomed me and attended to me immediately. They were very knowledgeable and considerate, and gave great suggestions. I never would've thought to jazz up matcha with Raspberry but let me tell you... IT WORKS. And the jelly? Oh my God the coconut jelly. Even if this combo sounds crazy to you, what I'm really trying to say is, I found my perfect trifecta here. So you MOST definitely can find yours too:) I won't be done with this place tell I've tried everything. I'm comin back for that lightbulb drink!
This is a cute spot for dessert after having some ramen next door! They have a lot of options to choose from and the service was great. Everyone was welcoming and the drinks were delicious. Highly recommend taro or lychee tea.
Thanks to a YES! (Yelp Elite Squad) event, I was able to experience some boba tea from 1 2 Tea! I also was able to sample other flavors... and I purchased a couple of fruit teas for my household. All beverages were a winner! My first time experience here was very pleasant! The staff is so friendly! The establishment is very clean. The menu has so many choices!!!!! I will return! And I love the fact that they are connected to Ijji Noodle House!!!!
Yes! Yes! Yes! Boba Tea in South Reno with poke and ramen in the same building? How can you lose? I thought I was coming on here to drop a first to review but a swing and a miss there. That's a ok though because it means some peeps have already discovered this sweet treat. 1,2 Tea was already blowing up the boba spot with their original cafe off California, so I knew the drinks were good, but I was blown away by the friendly service and selection they're offering here! I finally understand the hype over "Brown Sugar Boba Tea". I'm in love. The Okinawa is an awesome option for those that like a more direct approach to milk tea. It's a black tea infused with brown sugar that makes for a delicious toffee/coffee flavor with the tea behind it. All that extra flavor is coming from the brown sugar. I got mine with zero sugar added and it's as sweet as I'd like it to be. I also grabbed a taro milk tea and got it zero sweetness. That was a mistake. It wasn't sweet at all. I was expecting the taro flavored powder to add the sweetness but it wasn't there. Next time 10%-25% and I bet I hit the mark right! This new location is dangerously close to home, and with boba tea this good I'm in big trouble.
Came after a beach day to cool off and was glad we did! Got the Okinawa milk tea which tastes like "toffee" per the kid, plus some grass jelly. I thought 25% sugar was perfectly sweet without being too much! Love that south Reno has a boba spot! read more

This place was so homey and the staff was friendly. The atmosphere was nice and everyone was social distancing and wearing masks. Their drinks were so good, the only thing is that their boba could have a little more flavor. Their tea definitely makes up for it though. Connected to a poke place which I didn't try, but it looks promising. I'd have to say that the tiger milk tea was the best one. Update: I did try the poke/ramen place next door. I only got the ramen, but the portions were good and it was amazing. Definitely would buy the two together as a meal! read more

Okay all I gotta say is this place Really does have the best boba in reno area. I've legit gone pretty much everywhere in the area and this one tops it. They have a huge variety of drinks, and also the staff is very knowledgeable about the drinks and have that great customer service. Also of you're a first timer or trying something new they have free samples and also they have a huge variety of topping you can sample too. My cousin and I came in and wanted to try their White rabbit drink. But they were all put of the candy they blend in the drink. But that's how you know its hood. So this gives us a reason to be back again. So my cousin got their tiger boba, while I got the black sugar mill tea with lychee jelly. Both very flavorful. They also have food here too that I would love to try in the near future. But over this place is the bomb.com read more

I was greeted when first entering the building, my order was taken within moments. I ordered a large Tiger Tea with coffee jellies and a large Taro with blueberry and rainbow jelly's. I also ordered their wings to go as well. There wasn't too many people within Ijji's' and 1,2 tea- it took longer than normal for the wings almost 23 minutes and 12 mins for the boba's. When I finally left my ice was almost melted and the blended taro was melting as well. There a really great establishment I wish the employees at 1, 2 tea we're more knowledgeable on the appetizers on their menu, he didn't seem to know anything though I've seen him working many times. He said if I had questions I can go to Ijji's and ask- I think their staff in 1,2 tea should actually know their menu items. Not just brush your questions under the rug. I would of actually ordered more food had he known their menu. read more

Bobalicious! This place is so fun and the staff is amazing and full of delicious suggestions! The atmosphere is adorable and very relaxing. You do have to wait a bit for your beverage, but it's worth the wait. The kids love the strawberry and mango peach with strawberry popping bobas and I have enjoyed the vanilla chai and Hokkaido with plain boba. This is quickly becoming a weekly stop for my crew. read more

I have to admit, I am not big into boba. Not because I don't like them, but because I don't know what to get! However, while waiting for a to-go order from Ijji Noodle House next door, I decided to get a boba drink at 1,2, Tea. Ian, the manager, was so nice and walked me through the different types of boba drinks. I basically just asked what he would recommend, and we settled on mango-strawberry fruit tea. It was good! So refreshing, not overly sweet, and the flavor combo is distinct, but subtle. I am excited to try other flavors, especially when the weather gets warmer. Overall, I would highly recommend. The place is clean, nicely decorated, has Covid safety measures in place. Ian took the time of introducing himself, which to me is a mark of a local business. I'm much more inclined to support a local business when I can put a name and a (masked) face to the business I'm dealing with. read more

I loved the first time I visited. This time was not that great. We ordered lavender milk tea with boba and coffee coconut smoothie with boba. The lavender tea tasted watered down, it was not flavorful at all. And the bobas were way undercooked--the middle of bobas were HARD. I have always told my friends that bobas are more for chewing pleasure than the flavor. Unfortunately, these bobas were not pleasant at all, so much so that I didn't consume more than half of my bobas. The coffee coconut smoothie was good, but again, the bobas were left uneaten. The customer service clerk was nice and patient while I made my choice. I wanted to try a "rainbow" tea that I saw from a Yelp post by owner but it was not available so it took me awhile to choose a replacement. read more

I'm so excited that there is a boba place in South Reno! I tried 3 of their drinks and they did not disappoint. Highly recommend the Tiger Milk Tea if you want a creamier drink, and the Green Tea Passion Fruit if you're more of a fruity drink person. It's also nice that you can grab some food next door. I love this boba place - I'm a regular for both of the locations. However, the last few times I visited the Damonte location, this is what I got for my large size drink: no ice = a large gap in cup. I'm confused because they wouldn't do this before, when I ordered no ice I would still get at least 95% full cup of drink. Now I'm only getting like 70%. Guest service was always great tho. read more

my personal favorite happy place in reno ! the staff is always super welcoming & always a pleasant experience . hoan , the owner is super amazing i have my own secret menu drink , the okinawa smoothie w/ double boba , definitely recommend ever since i first found out about their original location , it has been my go to place for boba , no one in town can beat this boba read more
