I like to get their brown sugar milk tea with regular ice and sugar and i just love this drink. It taste great you can tell that they make actual tea and instead of using powdered tea like a lot of other places. And they offer a dairy free alternative for those of you who cant have dairy. My friend introduced me to this place because I just have a weakness for good bubble tea. Every time I visit NJ, gong cha was my to go place until I was told of umacha! I think it's their honey coated bubbles that gets me. I always order the milk green tea, but compared to gong cha's, Umacha's isn't as sweet; just tastes right. I know there's a variety of other flavors, but I'm stuck in my ways & too scared to venture out! Just love their milk green tea lol. They also have this cool archway for people to take photos at with NYC as the background. Plenty of parking as it shares lots with all the other stores in the area. Came here for the first time today, and take it from a boba enthusiast and connoisseur, Ümacha is definitely worth trying! I got the famed Don Chan (brown sugar milk tea with cheese cream and bubbles), Kiss Me (peach tea) with bubbles, and Hug Me (passion fruit tea) with lychee jelly. To start, my bubbles were slightly mushy but I could tell that they were originally well-made judging from the consistency. Many reviewers said it's too sweet, but for me, the Don Chan is the perfect blend of sweet, creamy goodness (note: I'm the type to get my boba extra sweet sometimes). The Kiss Me has a pleasant surprise--a mint leaf and real peach bits! The leaf seems minor, but it makes all the difference. Together with the mint and peach, the Kiss Me has a unique flavor that I've never experienced in all my years of boba consumption! The Hug Me was obviously on the more sour side, which paired well with the lychee. One thing that I didn't like about the Hug Me was that it has real passionfruit seeds in it, but otherwise, great drink! There was only one worker in the store, which made the wait a bit longer than expected, but she was super sweet and polite. Out of all the bbt places I've tried in NJ, this is one of my favorite ones. The tea they make is quite aromatic and refreshing. I got the recommended Take-Chan with less ice and 50% sugar. They used Jasmin green tea topped with cheese cream. It had a distinct green tea flavor that was not overpowering. I also tried the Ama-Chan and the Hoji-Cha Milk Tea. I used to be obsessed with Gong Cha, but now when I drink other boba, it doesn't even compare, and Umacha has ruined all other boba for me. But listen to the sugar advice!). & that is the perfect drink here, YOU'RE WELCOME IN ADVANCE. The most popular drink here is actually the "Don Chan" which is cheese cream on top of brown sugar boba. I ordered it once and thought it was good, but after three sips, it was a bit too much for me. But if you're into really decadent drinks and have a big sweet tooth, this would be the drink for you! But just trust me... order the Hoji Cha milk tea. It is perfectly simple and everything a boba should be. The outside and inside decor is also meant for you to take Instagram worthy pictures. I live pretty far from here, but I probably go here much more than the locals, that's how real my dedication to this place is. All the workers and manager are SO sweet as well. I've been here before and had the brown sugar bubble tea and it was your pretty standard bubble tea. However this time, I got the Kiss Me drink which is a peach tea with real peach inside, as well as a mint leaf. Aesthetic wise, the drink is super cute and a great spot to shoot a photo with it with the flowery backdrop. The drink only comes in a large. Not only was the shop so aesthetic, making it social media worthy, but the food was greattttt. I got the Tsuyo-Chan, and it was the best boba I have ever had in my life(mind you, I have gone to some really good boba places across the USA, and Japan!) Awesome addition to this plaza! It's a cute bubble tea spot located on the first floor of a hot pot restaurant (truly perf for post meal treat). Came here for the first time today and already excited to go back! Their menu is still pending but whats currently on available did not disappoint. Bubble tea is one of my favorite drinks and snacks. In fact, I had my first bubble tea at Mitsuwa nearly a decade ago, and that set the standard for me. When I pulled into the Mitsuwa complex a few weeks ago and noticed UMACHA's signage, I knew I had to give it a try. Even though UMACHA is only operating off a walk-up window due to COVID, the place still exudes 'luxury bubble tea.' If you're a bubble tea connoisseur, you know very well that not all bubble tea establishments are made equal. UMACHA is the first of its kind in the area - a bubble tea cafe for those with a finer palette. You won't find over-sweetened slushies with popping boba, or powder mixed into milk. They use high quality ingredients and ACTUAL tea to make their drinks. I found myself returning quite a few times to try all the different drinks. UMACHA encourages the customer to customize their drink, so sugar and ice level can be adjusted to your liking for most drinks. Just keep in mind that not all the teas here are bubble milk teas. I prefer a milk tea, and I accidentally ordered a Yayo Chan (Hoji cha tea with cheese foam) and it came without milk. My fault, however! So far I've had the Yayo-chan, the Brown Sugar Milk Tea, and the Hoji cha milk tea. Like I said, the Yayo-chan was a dark black tea with the cheese cream - this may be good for people who don't want to consume an excess of dairy, as it was definitely lighter than their milk teas. However, the black tea topped with the cheese cream was a bit weird, but it was tasty none the less. The cheese cream has an interesting consistency...not too heavy but not light-as-air, either, almost like a vanilla mousse. It's not very sweet, which I like. The Brown Sugar Milk Tea is one of the only selections that cannot be customized to sugar level, because the cup is lined with a delicious brown sugar syrup. I usually go for an unsweetened bubble tea, but this was absolutely delicious. It was also like a meal in itself! It's very rich and heavy and sweet, so it tastes like a dessert rather than a refreshing drink. The Hoji cha milk tea was somewhere in the middle - not so heavy with the dairy or sugar, but still satisfying. Here's a tip for you - if you're getting the cheese cream WITH a bubble tea, I would opt for a smaller size or less milk, because the milk tea with the cheese cream is super heavy and filling. Delicious, but indulgent. Just as a sidenote: every time I've come here, the boba has been perfectly cooked: chewy, fresh, and slightly warm. I give UMACHA only four stars because, while the bubble tea is high quality and tasty, it is not as deeply flavorful as some of other bubble tea places. Yes, it is freshly shaken and made with tea leaves; however, this means the delicate flavor of the tea is drowned out by the milk, the sugar, and the boba. Also, since they are using fresh tea, it is not as cold as some other places. These are little details, yes, but they are things that I noticed. Overall, this is an amazing addition to the Mitsuwa marketplace. While I love the Hoji cha bubble tea from matchalove inside, I will definitely be taking a trip to UMACHA to get my bubble tea fix. read more

Very pretty inside with a great view. It was my first time and I'm not a regular bubble tea drinker. Got one of the milk teas reg sugar and ice. I found it to be way way way too sweet so I asked if I could get whatever liquid added just a bit to offset the sweetness and the girl behind the counter said " mm no. You said you wanted regular sugar and ice" kinda shocked at the response and tone. We finally settled on more ice and then she begrudgingly said fine I'll make you a new one.
