Friendly service, delicious locally farmed ice cream & sorbet. They had a lot of interesting flavors & free samples. I ended up getting a regular size orange honey (topped with orange blossom honey) and my friend got a mini size brown butter chocolate caramel (topped with cocoa nib toffee). It's a small ice cream shop with a few stools to sit on. We will definitely return to try more flavors the next time we're in the area.
My fav ice cream shop !!! I missed them so much we went to Redlands to visit them again. Nitrogen ice cream. Texture is perfect. Quality ingredients!! Fun flavors. I got myself a mint and chip. Light mint flavor. High quality parliament chocolate. So good. Had a really good experience with the staff also. Definitely a must stop if you love Ice cream
TIL THIS DAYYYY this is my favorite ice cream parlor J have ever, & probably will ever, go to. If you can make time to stop at À la Minute even once in your lifetime, I PROMISE you won't be disappointed. They make the ice cream freshly using nitrogen right in front of you. They have the BEST ice cream flavors, namely: - mint chocolate chip- so creamy & flakey chocolate topping - salted caramel- a real kick of flaky sea salt on top of the creamy caramel base - vanilla- sounds simple, but it is THE perfect vanilla. They have vegan, dairy free options too.
Loved my icecream! Super friendly staff, fast service, decent price, and awesome icecream! I loved my mini chocolate chip- it was perfect size and taste! Very happy with my experience and even when it looks busy, they still serve fast. It was great and I cannot wait to try more!!!
Thank you Yelpers for leading me to this local ice cream shop in the heart of historic downtown Redlands. With it's large number of reviews and high ratings as compared to familiar franchise and chain locations, there was no way that I would pass up something good around the corner during a recent visit! The menu contains some specialty flavors such as avocado as well as some more typical but unique flavors such as espresso chip. I can never pass up a good coffee-flavored ice cream, and with a fellow Yelper's rave review, I jumped on the opportunity. And it did not disappoint! Besides the yummy presentation of my mini cup of ice cream that was sprinkled with chocolate powder, the ice cream was smooth, creamy and flavorful. It is especially good since it isn't masked with sweetness like.some places do and so the coffee flavor was perfectly balanced. A definite recommend for a sweet something treat!
Ever since I lived in the area over 10 years ago I've loved à la minute's nitrogen ice cream and am sad that their other locations Orange and Temecula have closed. This is the last remaining location and I stopped by during a road trip. Husband and I got the avocado honey and Brown Butter Chocolate Caramel. Both flavors were delicious. The avocado ice cream actually tastes like fresh avocado (and not frozen avocado) and is soooo smooth. The brown butter chocolate caramel has delightful hard caramel toffee bits and gives a nice texture. This is the smoothest dense ice cream ever! My previous favorite was the orange honey flavor, but the orange flavor and orange pulp bits aren't as prominent anymore so it's been demoted.
á la minute has the best ice cream in the IE I refuse to eat ice cream anywhere else lol i've been getting ice cream from here for the past 12 years, and they're still amazing. We drive from Riverside to come get their ice cream. The wait can be hit or miss, but even if there's a line out the door, it's still worth the wait. My top ice creams are: 1) chocolate lavender 2) vanilla bean w/ olive oil 3) espresso chip 4) strawberry balsamic There a lots of more options but those are my favs; i'm sure everything on the menu is yummy here!!
I can see why this is a busy spot compared to other ice cream spots in the area. What's very convenient is that the parking lot is just across the street so you don't have to keep looping around for street parking. This place is really tiny so not much seating space. Luckily there's plenty of seating around the area, just circle around the block a bit. People here were very nice and let us taste a few flavors. Once I tasted the vanilla bean olive oil... that was game for me. It was super smooth, not too sweet, and they even drizzle olive oil on top.
This ice cream shop is super cute. I was next door at a Yelp Elite event at Batter Rebellion (also sooo good), and saw this place so I had to pop in. There's a pride flag and Black Lives Matter sign hanging up on their walls so I immediately knew they were a vibe! It's small and cozy inside. Not really a place to sit and chill but good to grab a quick ice cream. The person behind the counter was very nice and friendly. They advised that they were able to offer samples but limited to 2 per person. That was plenty enough to figure out what I wanted. I went for the brown butter chocolate flavor. The texture of the ice cream was super rich and creamy...not icey. I loved it! Their nitrogen process makes it so that the consistency is just perfect. The chocolate was decadent. So delish! I wanna go back and try more from this place!
Hold Up! Wait a Minute! Let them put some Boom in it! If you're down with it then we're both in it to win it anyway you spin it. Their ice cream will make your tongue cream with flavors that are a dream. So let me tell you what made my eyes beam. I started off with the Olive Oil Vanilla Bean and this made my tastebuds scream with pleasure so let me tell you about the next pleasure. Orange Honey was next and this definitely passed the test and I can say it's above the rest. And Yes they do have other ice cream shops here but my tastebuds just lay out a sneer. The shop is kinda small but the flavors run tall. Service was on the level and that's all from this here devil. And that's my take on this shop, Peace.
Soo no one wasn't going to tell me about this little gem!! Walked in and the employees were honestly the best!!! Great customer service. They do have a variety of different selections which I totally love. But not to the point where you don't know, more on they are all so good. The strawberry, avocado, and salted Carmel are my top 3. They do have little barrels you could sit on but limited seating. Pricing is pretty decent. But if you're going to get a cone pls don't get the mini serving, you'll have more cone than ice cream. Haha
Okay hands down best ice cream ever!!! You have not been it's an absolute must! That espresso chip ice cream oh my absolutely phenomenal one of my favorite ice creams I have to say!!!!! Friendly staff and delicious ice cream seriously what could go wrong I highly recommend stopping in and trying it
Whenever I'm in Redlands, I just have to stop here. This place does not disappoint. It wasn't busy at all when I went. I ordered the chocolate lavender with cacao nibs. Didn't really taste the lavender but that's okay cos I love chocolate. The cacao nibs were kind of stuck together. Overall, this is a place to. Heck out if you're ever in Redlands.
First time exploring Redlands, and A La Minute absolutely made our itinerary one to remember! We had a day packed with street art, cool shops, and fun treats, and I'm so glad we didn't skip dessert here. Watching the liquid nitrogen ice cream process was seriously cool, such a unique experience. The two women working behind the counter were fantastic; they were super friendly and offered us samples to help us decide (much appreciated because everything sounded so good!). I went with the fresh mint chip ice cream in a waffle cone and loved every bite. My husband ordered a root beer float with a non-dairy salted caramel-type ice cream (can't quite remember the exact flavor name, but it was delicious!). We took our treats to go and enjoyed them while walking to the car, already talking about how unique and fun this spot was. Unique experience, great service, and fantastic ice cream. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in Redlands! read more
À la minute is a small but very well-kept ice cream shop with some of the most interesting and exotic flavors I have come across. Everything is packed with flavor, especially the vanilla bean olive oil ice cream which is rich, smooth, and unexpectedly delicious in the best way. I usually go for the mini size, which is perfect for trying multiple flavors without overcommitting. The shop itself is compact but clean and thoughtfully maintained, and the rotating "weird" flavors are exactly what make it worth coming back. Highly recommend if you enjoy creative, adventurous ice cream. read more

So damn good! I've been a big fan of this place since they opened, back in my college days. I haven't been in probably seven or eight years, but I will damn sure be back a lot sooner than that. The ice cream is so tasty, so smooth, so rich... It's just good. And the waffle cone is a real waffle, so you can't beat that. Definitely worth a stop. read more

We have stopped by A la Minute a couple times now while we have been in the area. We were not disappointed! Employees were friendly and answered our questions during our first visit. Their ice cream is perfect! The honey orange blossom was delicious!! I'm a fan of anything lemon and their lemon custard was perfect! The shop is in a cute little spot. It's nice. Only downside is when it's a busy time you're either squished in or you wait outside the door. read more

The best ice cream in all of Redlands! Service is always friendly no matter how busy they get. Recently, they put in double doors, and that has helped a ton in terms of it being claustrophobic. All the flavors are awesome, though, on a hot day I have been enjoying the lemon custard with the strawberry compote on top. If you're in the area, go check it out! read more
similar to salt and straw vibes but more affordable. flavors were a bit adventurous for my liking, but yummy nonetheless ordered: salted caramel. tasted like toasted caramel, and delicious for first few bites, but got v salty. i've had creamier ice cream, but this isn't bad service was great, can ask for sampling, and vibes are beautiful decorated like a little vintage shop read more
My kids took me here. As an older Asian woman, I am impressed this American ice cream shop can get such nice strong fresh avocado flavor into the ice cream. It was nice and not too sweet. Better than other ice creams I've had. read more
The ice cream here is so fresh and creamy. I love salted Caramel and to have it vegan, that was an amazing treat! The service was quick and everyone was so nice! There's not a lot of places to sit by the shop but we found some table across the street in a covered patio area to enjoy our ice cream! read more

The brown butter flavor was super yummy! Loved the bits of toffee. It was expensive of course, as ice cream parlors usually are, but it was worth it as a fun social treat with a friend. It's a nice shop but a little dark on the inside. I would love if there was seating, so you don't have to eat it in the car. The area didn't feel super safe so I don't recommend standing around outside eating especially at night. I also find it a little strange that you can't get different flavors if you get multiple scoops. The employee explained it as them making it to order so you can only get one flavor per cup, but that didn't really make sense to me. You can sample the flavors so if they're made to order I don't understand how you can try samples..? Either way, it feels standard to let you mix and match flavors, and without that option I don't have reason to ever get anything but the smallest cup, personally. read more

This is my favorite ice cream. I have been coming here for 12 years now!! The spot is small and can attract a long line on weekends but the staff is always super quick and helpful. Plus, I like to walk through the building and sit in the umbrella alley. The flavors seemed a little niche and pretentious back in 2014, but they are all delicious and have mostly stayed the same, never dropping off in quality. The best are brown butter, chocolate lavender, and strawberry, but I haven't had a flavor that I didn't love. read more

I've had this place bookmarked for the longest time since college and now finally got to try it! We walked in and it honestly immediately smelled funky lol. I remain to be hopeful and that the ice cream is still good, so I went ahead to order. I ordered a mini chocolate lavender, and it was actually pretty good! The consistency is nice and thick, tastes rich, and the lavender was quite fragrant. I liked how they added honey on the spoon too, so it makes each bite even a bit more sweeter. Although I didn't really like the cocoa nibs(?) they added on top. It was too bitter and hard to eat it with the ice cream. Overall, it was good! Nice to try and the service was quick and efficient as well. read more

Quaint little hole in the wall nitrogen infused ice cream. No indoor seating or restroom. Despite the menu showing various scoop sizes, you get one flavor per size since each one is hand mixed. There are 3 vegan flavors, but hubby opted for fresh mint chip for more flair. Flavor was great and the chocolate specs were some of the best I've ever tasted at an ice cream shop! I wish they weren't out of cones and had the option of more flavors in bigger sizes. Not a lot of room inside so best to order then step out while you wait. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area, they're across from City Hall. read more

In your dairy ice cream products do they have oils I know some ice cream uses coconut oil, I have a coconut allergy just wanted to verify before I order? Thank you
Hello, we do not use oils in any of our dairy products. We do have coconut milk in our vegan salted caramel, this is made off site so there is a very low risk of cross contamination. Hope to see you soon!
