A Hong Kong Style Cafe, owned and operated by some local celebrities, a couple locations around Hong Kong. Small, predictable menu, cheap, crowded, clean, bright decor for a cafe of its type.
I had their creamy scrambled eggs, which I had read they are known for, and a pineapple bun. Both were served fast, hot and were pretty good. BUT...the piece de resistance was my husband's breakfast.
He had the french toast that is stuffed with peanut butter...REAL PEANUT BUTTER! This food item is so delicious it is sinful and wrong. Nothing about it is really healthy for you, but really scrumptious. Thick bread, grilled in some butter concoction that is so savory, stuffed with peanut butter...BAM! It might be my new guilty pleasure in the world of breakfast foods.
I also have to give Lung Fung Cafe kuddos for their marketing effort and their VIP club. For a $100HKD annual fee, they get your trackable info for their marketing program and you get money back, discounts and a free birthday meal. For $100, this program pays for itself and they are smart to get your information to market later. This is where I know these owners are smart and know what they are doing in the realm of business. So if you go to a Lung Fung Cafe with some regularity, it is a worthy club to sign up for.
Regardless,I thought this place was good and as it pertains to a Hong Kong Style Cafe, top of the heap in my mind versus other options. read more
