Can you imagine Kowloon locals saying "Guschlbauer" with ease? Me neither. Then again "麥上日光" (Wheat Sunlight?) doesn't exactly roll off the tongue either.
This well known Austrian bakery world chain supposedly had its start close to 100 years ago, but is only really taken off in Europe before its recent expansion into Asia a few years ago. Now available in Korea and Canada, Hong Kong is another country added to their list.
The bread is exactly what you might be thinking: fluffy, interesting, and most certainly pricey given its western roots and never ending lines from tourists. The cheese stuffed buns and cream puffs come in a variety of flavors. I would recommend asking for samples.
