Bonus includes a dessert that was not stated on the menu so make sure you ask! My mom got the tempura lunch set and it comes with sooooo many items and it seems like they never stop bringing out food so id say that one is a better deal than the katsudon, but the katsudon is the best I've had in my life so far!! The pork in the katsudon was so flavorful and was deep fried to perfection! The rice they used was of excellent quality which was also cooked to the perfect texture. Then the egg and sautéed onions... The flavor was just addicting and I finished everything in the bowl! Normally I don't finish the rice! The udon was amazing too. This lunch set is highly recommended! The tempura set includes many items as stated on the menu, but the tempura and the sashimi are the stars of the set, of course. It's good to see they gave us freshly ground wasabi for the sashimi. Score! The yellowtail was very fresh and had the perfect fat/meat cut. Then the tempura. It's the first time I get to sit at a tempura bar where the chef deep fries your order behind the fryer with a big shiny copper lid. He deep fries small batches and we eat as we go. Tempura items include shrimp, mushrooms, root vegetables, etc. tempura is supposed to be eaten when it's piping hot so make sure you choose the bar! Otherwise they'll just put everything on a plate and have the waiter bring it out to you. Food quality was amazing. That doesn't need to be mentioned at this point. If you can, opt for the green tea cake. The chocolate mousse thing was just alright. Amazing service and reasonable prices for the quality of food (lunch time only). Over here you can order bite-sized kimbap rolls (basically a sushi roll without the raw fish), Korean burritos. They look a lot like Japanese rolls at first glance but the ingredients are mainly cooked like rice, tempura shrimp, fried dumpling skin, veggies, etc. They certainly bring out the Korean flavor with the special Korean sauce as well. We ordered claypot rice dishes since that was what we were craving. They had quite a few choices. I ordered the Grilled Eel claypot rice and my wife ordered the Abalone claypot rice. After a little wait our orders came out. They were served steaming hot. My order came with a bonus "fan jiu" or scorched rice on the side. They were delicious and my wife and I agreed most satisfying. The few aunties that waited on us spoke little to no English, but were friendly enough. They were patient and we were able to convey what we wanted to order. Since it wasn't busy we were able to take our time eating and rest a little after walking around all morning. Essentially, all of the raw dishes are taken to the pot for "steaming". Most of the options that are given are fresh seafood.. so if you are a fan of fish/shellfishes, you would love this type of restaurant. Similar to traditional hotpot spots, you create your own sauce on the side. In the end, all the natural taste/juice of each unique dish is drip down to below the pot, where there's a congee (now infused with the flavours of the seafood) for your final course. Again, with this being my first time trying this type of restaurant in HK, it definitely did not disappoint! Pros: Great service. There was essentially a waitress serving two-three tables at once. As each time they insert a new dish in (whether that's fish, crab, vegetables, lobsters, etc), they have a specific timer for each type of food as they all require a unique time for preparation. Once each dish is done, the server would divide the course equally to each individual on the table. Fresh food. All the seafood is as fresh as can be (as they should be). Some of the food were pre-marinated (such as the lobster), and others were steam as it is (the shrimp balls). Sets to order from that is recommended for a party depending on the number of people. This way, you are not over ordering or under ordering. You can always add on more food if you are still hungry in the end. Cons: A little far from the MTR, which isn't a big deal but since it was raining heavily on the day that I went, it probably seemed longer than it actually was. Tough to locate. Its tucked away on a street that's virtually a dead end. Being a visitor from abroad, it took a while to locate this place. Although I'm sure locals would be able to find it swiftly and with ease. Tips: Go during lunch as you can get the same exact set of food for 3/4 of the price and also you don't need to pay for the 10% service fee at lunch time. I didn't need to use it but I can say something is better than nothing even if it's.. a standard HK bathroom if you know what I mean. Cash only and it's meant to be fast more so during rush peak hours. Do bring your own napkins and note it's not too spacious for any luggage/big bags to be rolled around inside.
