In short, if you want horrible food along with bad service, then this is the place for you. Please continue to read for the experience.
Arrived for an early dinner. Ordered the so called Appetizer Combo which contained 2 pcs each of: fried chicken wings, calamari rings, jumbo crab cake and what appears to be a very flat fish of some sort. Accompanied by 4 mysterious sauces who the waitstaff that delivered it would rather gather and chit chat among themselves, then to introduce the sauces to a guest who is contributing to their payroll. This appetizer was followed by their supposedly signature CCBG Hand chopped angus beef burger. All this was flushed down with a glass of their house wine.
The chicken wings were very dark brown in appeareance and what appeared it was fried in old oil. The taste was ok, but then again how can you go wrong with chicken wings, they are almost idiot proof.
Calamari rings (2 rings). Come Chef.....seriously? 2 pathetic pieces? Calamari is not expensive in Hong Kong. Tasted very bland with a slight freezer burn taste.
Jumbo crab cakes. Not sure how the word "Jumbo" comes into place as the size of the cakes or crab meat used in the cake were not "Jumbo" at all. Cakes were seared charcoal black and contained more bread crumbs than actual crab meat.
Fried fish. A mystery flat looking fish that was coated in bread crumb and most likely fried in the same oil as the chicken wings. Bland, tasteless and very dry.
Signature burger. Extremely disappointing or i must have misinterpreted the meaning of "signature". Being a "Signature", I would assume this is one of the items that this kitchen does best. Boy was i wrong on that. Ordered the burger medium rare and came out very rare. Another tasteless item that lacked seasoning as well as finesse and tending love care during the cooking process. Your better off going to the airport terminal and getting a burger from one of the fast food places, at least you know what you are getting and for more than 1/2 the price that you pay here.
To wash down all this "lovely" (Not!) food down, had a glass of their house white wine that tasted if the bottle had been opened days ago. read more
