The roast goose looked great, but that's about it. The skin wasn't crispy at all, and it was unbelievably greasy--oil was literally dripping everywhere. There was barely any meat, and after a couple of bites, all I had left were bones. The taste was okay, but definitely not worth the hype.
The biggest issue is the price. You're paying premium prices for average food and tiny portions. It feels like they're counting on tourists who probably won't be back anyway.
The restaurant itself is clean and nicely renovated, but that's pretty much the only positive.
The service was by far the biggest disappointment. After I asked for a glass of water because the food was so greasy, the two employees at the ordering counter started making comments about us instead of simply helping. Our table was right next to the counter, so we could hear everything they were saying. It honestly felt intentional, as if they wanted us to hear them. I've never experienced something so rude over such a simple request.
What makes it even worse is that they charge a service fee. I'm perfectly fine paying for good service, but if you can't even bring a customer a glass of water, what exactly is that service charge for? Taking orders and bringing food to the table is just the bare minimum.
To top it off, after finally getting a table, we were told to go wait by the entrance again. The whole experience was disorganized and frustrating.
Overall, this place is incredibly overrated. Hong Kong has countless small neighborhood restaurants serving better roast goose, at better prices, with friendlier service. I'd rather spend my money there than come back here.
Would not return, and definitely wouldn't recommend.
