The very local scene is mostly Thai and Vietnamese places. Unless you have some reviews at your disposal, it's very intimidating, as you don't feel much confidence that you're picking a good place.
Luckily, I was taken here by a local during lunch hour. Clearly he knew a good place among all the choices. The pad Thai, fish snacks and satay were delicious and the curry chicken was some of the best I've had in HK.
As with most restaurants in Kowloon City, it's not big nor comfortable, but the people who work there are very friendly and helpful to non-Cantonese speakers. Definitely a good place for lunch if you find yourself in the area. read more
