The name seems a bit out of context, but there isn't a lot of Irish touches inside except the headboards, napkins and same tiles in the bathroom.
The best thing about the Shamrock is its central location on Nathan Rd. From the international airport you can get the A21 bus for $33HKD nearly straight to the door. Or you could get the metro to super close by Jordan station. The interior is okay, nothing too special and a bit dated, but it's clean, tidy and a decent price.
The only downside is the shower, it is like washing yourself with a garden hose. No real spray and it splats out at one pressure, despite trying to change the nossle. The haid dryer could maybe dry your eyebrows or baby hair, but hey at least they supplied one. Complimentary shampoo and all that provided.
The breakfast is pretty ordinary- fried, boiled or scrambled eggs, meats, watermelon, rockmelon or melon, cereal and some Asian favourites- dumplings, noodles and rice.
Free, strong WiFi and can connect numerous devices which is a definite plus. The Shamrock ticks majority of the boxes for a three star hotel. read more
