I was on vacation with my father in December. Prices definitely are about double during this month…read more The lobby was clean and the staff was nice. The rooms are small. We had 2 large suitcases. As you can see from the pictures, the only place to put them was by the seating area on the floor. There wasn't even a luggage rack. If you have more than 2 large suitcases, you're not going to have anywhere to walk. The bathroom was narrow and clean. The two beds are about twin size and only separated by a small nightstand. Sonic the person you're with snores, you better bring earplugs. The tv was a good size, maybe 36"? There were two USB adapters by the table & chairs. There weren't any outlets by the bed. Housekeeping was great. There were some days I told them they didn't need to turn down the room. Rooms could be updated. There is no bottled water; however, there are two 7/11 stores about a block away. I paid for the breakfast buffet. The buffet was just alright. I didn't think the selection was that great and the coffee wasn't to my liking. There are an abundance of restaurants, dessert places, specialty drink stores (boba, tea, etc..) that are within walking distance. I wish I knew this because I would've skipped paying for the bfast buffet; but it is convenient. The hotel is very walkable to all types of restaurants, stores, specialty drink places, lady market, the MTR, Nathan Rd (one of the main streets) and the gigantic Langham Shopping Mall on Argyle street (I believe). What I liked about the hotel is that it's 1-2 blocks from the busiest foot traffic but far enough to where you're not fighting people outside of the lobby and quiet enough. Some insights: * 7/11 stores: There's 1 about a block away & another one about 700ft. So you can get bottled water & anything else. Also, there are 2 pharmacies nearby as well. * Laundromat: Sunshine Laundry Convenience Store ( Shop 67 ) 陽光洗衣便利店 67分店 This is just 1.5 blocks away. This place was a lifesaver! There's only 3-4 W/D. You can use your octopus card or I think they take credit card as well. You can Google it but I think it's $40-$50 HKD. It automatically dispenses detergent as you wash. Great for general undergarments and dirty jeans, socks etc... * Luckin coffee: you really need to download the app or Alipay HK app. I think the drinks are discounted more if you use the apps. I couldn't do it bc you need a HK #. I was super bummed bc I love their coffee. There's a location on Nathan Rd and Argyle Rd. * ChaTraMue: this is just 3-4 blocks away. I wish I discovered this place earlier on. I got their coffee latte w/boba. It's one of their specialty drinks. It was SO GOOD! * Zoff: If you need glasses, this place has great frames. You can get your eyes checked and grams within 30mins-an hour! They're great. I didn't want to drag my suitcase through all the foot traffic so I ended up calling an Uber, which is very reasonable. I would recommend this hotel. For the price and convenience to everything, I would stay here again.

The only downside is that there are smoking and non smoking floors. We did not realize this upon booking (we booked through a 3rd party website) or check in so we were on a smoking floor. The room was small but not uncomfortable, the bathroom was pretty big by Asian hotel standards. There is a breakfast but I didn't have that, there are lots of bakeries nearby if you don't get the breakfast. Overall, a good stay,

Shout out to Joyous (Manager?), the woman at the front desk, and the man at the concierge (I didn't catch their names) because they were all SO kind/helpful and really turn an unfortunate situation so much better.

The room itself has cool touches like an appletv and all of the hardware in the bathroom is from Italy (feels substantial when you touch it). Room 1003 was perfect for me as I was traveling solo. If you have large suitcases and another companion, it may feel tight, especially the bathroom. Location-wise, it's about a 7-10 minute walk from the Sheung Wan station, and you'll have to walk on some cramped streets to get there so travel lightly if you take public transportation. My rate included free breakfast, but the spread was nothing to shout about. It was very western, with cereals, eggs, bacon, lots of bread, and some fruit. I was a fan of the ginger shot, though- a nice way to wake up in the morning!

The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had L'Occitane toiletries. The TV had a lot of English channels to choose from, and the in-room wifi worked perfectly. The mini bar was all free! In terms of rooms, I found this hotel better than nearby Ovolo Noho, which I've also stayed at. This is a great choice if you're looking for a comfy boutique hotel in Hong Kong island. Hope you can find a great deal!

So, we wanted a nice but affordable spot to finish out our trip in Hong Kong before heading back to the U.S. We opted for one of the upper suites with a skyline view, and let me tell you- the view was epic! The room was also quite spacious in comparison to most of the shoebox rooms you will find in HK. They use Malin+Goetz and Loccitane for toiletries, which is great because I'm a sucker for luxury grooming products. They also have a nice gym and a free refreshment nook next to it that is open 24/7 (with water/Coke/Diet Coke/granola bars). A small restaurant is attached on the main level of the hotel, although room service is not offered. The front desk desk was very helpful with our bags and made us feel welcome during our stay. Additionally, they were able to arrange a 3:30am taxi service back to the airport for our departure. This isn't the type of hotel with a gigantic lobby and lots of hustle and bustle going on, as it's somewhat tucked away and used to be a private residence tower. However, it is a high quality place to stay if you are looking for a 4 star hotel in HK that is in walking distance to many of the trendiest neighborhoods. The hotel chain that runs 99 Bonham also has many other highly respected hotels in HK. We were very satisfied with our stay!

If you can get the room for a deal and you're not staying in the room much, it's not a terrible option. They do have luggage storage by the front desk. They just tie it down with a cable lock and they take a photo of your luggage. Other than the location, I wouldn't rush to stay here again for the price (almost $200).

The location of the hotel is convenient as there is a 24hr supermarket just beside it. Moreover, you are a short walk from the MTR station. The hotel lobby is dim, moody, and chic when you enter (with strong AC) and there were always staff present to answer our questions. At the front of the hotel there is a small area for drop off or to grab a taxi. Rooms are spacious where there are amenities like a safe, iron/ironing board, nespresso machine with coffee pods, hairdryer, shampoo/conditioner, etc. available. During our stay at The Park Lane, staff were friendly and we were able to do an early check in (checked in at 7am in the morning!). Housekeeping always kept our amenities stocked and the room clean. We had no complaints and enjoyed the harbour and city view we got. In terms of hotel facilities, there was a gym and sauna located on the 5th floor. The gym was small but had several cardio machines, free weights and several machines. I went to the gym several times where it did get busy one morning. The gym also provides you with towels and they also have a refillable water station as well. Inside the lockers at the gym you can find showers, a sauna, and resting areas. We didn't have time to check out the bar at the top floor of the hotel which gives great views of the HK harbour. Overall, a great stay in Hong Kong where the rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. Staff were friendly and efficient. Would not hesitate to stay here again in the future!

This turned out to be the perfect choice because we ended up booking a One Bedroom Suite with a Queen Bed with my available credit card points. It was really a small furnished apartment with a kitchenette and contemporary West Elm-style furnishings. It would've cost us at least US$255 per night if we paid outright. What's more, they had multiple washers and dryers on the first floor just when we needed to do our laundry. The front desk staff was first-rate with hotel services and local insights, as was the housekeeping staff stationed next to the laundry. There was no fancy lobby here and no need for one. That's what I mean by 'functionally elegant'. The hotel's Sheung Wan location was ideal for anyone interested in hanging out in the hip-heavy Central district. The furniture is showing its age a tiny bit (the couch was lumpy), but everything was clean and tidy and minimalist in design. The kitchen has just enough to be functional (silverware, plates, bowls, glasses, a pot, a fridge, a stovetop, a coffee maker, and a water purifier) so that you can make small meals or bring take-out back to the room. The room is very quiet overall, and since there are only two suites per floor, you never hear anyone else. There is a gym on the second floor, and there are also completely free laundry machines (washers and dryers, three of them, detergent provided) which was amazing! The hotel is located a quick walk from the Sheung Wan MTR stop, in walking distance to all of Sheung Wan and Central, and there are tons of restaurants and bars in the area. There's also a 7-Eleven directly across the street. The staff were all very nice, although the lobby and staff interaction is minimal. If you're like me and you prefer that the staff stay out of your way in general, you'll like it. If you're expecting the staff to be available to cater to every need, you might be a bit disappointed. This is my new favorite hotel in Hong Kong, and I'll definitely be staying again.
