I also appreciated that they replenished complimentary water and slippers in the room each day. I deducted one star because the food was not good. I tried the breakfast buffet, à la carte breakfast, and dinner, and everything tasted bland and not freshly made. The à la carte breakfast tasted like it came straight from the buffet. That said, the cocktails were good. Overall, it was a good stay. But FYI, this hotel is not close to anything in walking distance.

It was much smaller and the bathroom had a shower that looked onto the room, which was kind of strange (especially since the privacy shade was on the room side). Rooms are very clean. They provide robe, slippers, toiletries, water filtration unit, kettle and canned water. I did not add on breakfast and did not try the hotel restaurant. Perhaps next time! The hotel is located in DB North.There are some restaurants and a few markets, including the Marketplace which has a great selection of groceries. Uncle Russ is right next door for your coffee fix. You can take the shuttles from DB Plaza (where the ferry lands) up to DB North. They also have shuttles that take you to HK Disneyland (though I didn't take advantage of them). If you can, definitely choose the ocean view room. It's spectacular!

Overall, a nice, reasonably priced hotel near the airport and Ngong Ping 360 (I could even see Ngong Ping 360 from my room).

He was busy working on the computer. I was confused and asked: why was this process so long even if I had a reservation? He told me he was checking on whether this room clean. "Are you kidding me?I paid this room online already. It should be clean and wait for me coming, right? " He did not reply me. And told me he could not find this information on the computer. He had to send someone to check. Ok. I wait. Finally, he gave me the key. I asked him: is this a suite room? He told me: yes, it is. But It was just a one bed room. NO living room at all. I did not enter and went back to front desk again. He told me he had to check if there was a suite room available. I have a feeling of being tricked. He knew that this hotel sold my room to someone else tonight and fooled me with a one bed room. So I requested to speak to his supervisor. He made several called by his cellphone and told me there's no supervisor on the night shift and even on the phone. So I asked" so what should I do? It seemed that you did not reserve this room for us even if I had paid it" " it seemed nothing you can do right now. All you can do is to take the room I gave you and make a complain In the future." He replied. I was totally angry. I insisted I won't take this option. Final, final, finally, he have someone clean a right room. It was almost 12:00am when I got the key. There is adequate USB ports. You need to wrap the shower curtain around 360 for privacy. We had a spectacular view of HK. Nice amenities such as sauna and steam room, pool. The lounge was wonderful for a quiet breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails. And the minibar in the suite was well stocked with sodas, juices, water, tea and coffee. The hotel is awesome for any occasion. They provide a very nice buffet breakfast that is in a very nice restaurant in the hotel. The hotel is located in the Gold Coast part of HK, near the Tuen Mun area. You can get there by UBER or taxi from the airport. Far less fussy than taking the bus. Bus A33 drops you off close to the hotel but we still needed to UBER to actually get there; from the first bus stop from the airport there was no way to get to the hotel by walking. The hotel provides a bus to get to downtown Hong Kong (Tsim Sha Tsui) which was excellent. It only cost 30 Hong Kong Dollars per person each way. The bus drops you off and picks you up at The Royal Hotel. The bus from the hotel goes back and forth on the hour up to 10:00pm. Very convenient! The concierge was excellent answered all our questions on how to get from place to place. The Gold Coast hotel is very close to the Teun Mun Ferry area where you can take a ferry to Macau. Great place to stay very clean and upscale... would definitely come back and recommend the hotel to others.
