If you wanna stay in a hotel brand that's known for quality worldwide, but don't want to pay the increased prices close to the city centre, this hotel is an excellent choice.

First of all, breakfast sometimes requires a 30-minute line, and after waiting that long, the food quality is no better than a very basic mainland budget hotel. Completely not worth the time, especially for business travelers. Now to the real disaster: My room key suddenly stopped working. The front desk told me--very coldly--that my room had already been checked out by mistake, and claimed this was "your team's problem" and had nothing to do with the hotel. Excuse me? If the hotel system checked me out incorrectly, how is that not the hotel's responsibility? I explained that my wallet, laptop, and personal belongings were still inside the room, and asked to be let in. Their response: "No. Your room is already checked out." No empathy. No flexibility. No common sense. I asked if they could at least open the door while my team fixed the issue. The answer was still a flat no, followed by a ridiculous suggestion: "We can take your belongings out for you, and once everything is fixed, you can come back and get them." So I'm not allowed into my room, but you want to handle my valuables yourselves? Are you afraid I'll refuse to leave or something? Throughout this entire mess, there was not a single apology. Not from the front desk, not from management. When I tried to reason with them--starting with "Listen..."--the staff member literally walked away, saying they were "busy," and left our group logistics coordinator standing there with no solution. They repeatedly insisted that: * Lining up for breakfast is "how it should be" * The incorrect checkout was "our problem" * Entering my own room was "not allowed" Meanwhile, they had the nerve to argue with me about whether I had queued for breakfast, while my laptop and wallet were locked inside a room I was not allowed to enter. To top it off, the Wi-Fi is terrible. I was in meetings and had to switch to mobile data every 10 minutes because the connection kept dropping. Completely unusable for any serious work. I travel extensively, and I can honestly say this is the first time I've encountered such an unbelievably unprofessional and incompetent front desk at a so-called "business hotel." No accountability. No apology. No basic respect for guests. If you value your time, your work, and your sanity--run. Do not stay here.

Scrambled egg soup, unrecognizable meats, and broken toasters are not what I expect in HK. If this was at a Mainland Chinese Hotel I would understand but not here. The breakfast which costs $95HK was better and I would have rather had access to that instead. Better choices and more of everything, still not amazing but superior to what I had. Also, I was supposed to be entitled to an expedited check out in the lounge but when I got there I was rudely directed to go back to the main lobby. Not the end of the world but made me wonder why I paid extra for this room. The restaurants around the hotel were pretty bad. I would skip the pizza place, Thai, and Taiwanese places. You can say it was enough for us, but you can also say that it wasn't. The bathroom area is pretty spacious with a full size tub and a separate shower area. The decor definitely looks a little aged, but it was still clean. The hotel had a restaurant downstairs that does buffet. Didn't get a chance to try it though. There was also a regular sit down restaurant right next to it. We got access to the Regency Club and it was nice. Continental breakfast was provided as well as hor dourves later in the afternoon. The staff working up in the Regency Club were all pretty friendly, but for some unknown reason I felt like I was being watched over what I was doing. Just a sense of not feeling entirely comfortable or rather welcoming even though I had the right access to it. As far as the other amenities go, the pool area and kids area were really nice and big. The gym is also another amenity that deserves some shine. The workout area is a lot bigger than a lot of other hotel gyms. They have enough cardio and free weight equipments for guests to enjoy. Overall, no other complaints about our stay here. We would definitely consider staying here in the future, but will be putting traveling time back and forth into consideration. Lastly, if you're looking for laundry, there is a laundry spot one MTR away at Fo Tan. It's about a 10 min walk after getting off the MTR station in a small shopping center in the back. We had fantastic breakfasts in the Cafe and feel lucky to avail of the 40% off in-house guest discount for the weekend seafood buffet at HK$888+ It was a great seafood spread. We went to the Grand Hyatt for their seafood buffet but we love the HR buffet more than the Grand. Thank you Samuel Wong and Emma Lam in the Cafe for helping us graciously every morning.
