Hotel is located on the eastern side of HK Island and is about a 30 min MTR (subway) ride to central. Conveniently next to City Plaza mall where there is a wide variety of shops and restaurants. The hotel has a modern feel and layout. The beds and pillows are comfy and the hotel has installed filtered water faucets in everyone room to go "green" and reduce water bottle consumption. My one gripe is the bathroom layout for standard rooms. Since the standard rooms are not large, the bathroom has an open layout. If traveling alone, this is not an issue. However, if traveling with a friend or a significant other, you can hear all the bathroom "sounds" from everywhere in the room. The one positive about the bathroom is the waterfall shower! Overall, great hotel with modern amenities in a great location at a decent price. Convenient to the mall and restaurants and MTR. Would definitely recommend if you want to get away from the crowds of central and save some money!

Not a single speck of dust or unwanted hair. I can feel that the carpet was shampooed. We booked the Family Plus: - one bedroom with a King Size bed. - two twin beds. - two desk areas. - dining table area. - master bathroom has two sinks, soaking tub and a separate shower with strong water pressure. - I was surprised to find a half bathroom. - there is a spigot, water is filtered and safe for drinking. - foyer area has a bench and shoe rack - free daily breakfast at the Lion Rock restaurant. - since HK rains a lot, you can borrow the hotel's umbrella with a $100 HKD deposit. Make sure you return them when you checkout so they can cross out your name or else you'll be charge. This suite is located at the end of the hallway, giving you peace and quiet. I have to give a huge shoutout to our lovely and darling maid, Hwa, who went above and beyond. Coming back to our room on our second day, she runs up to me and asks if I needed maid service. I told her not today. She kept insisting like 3x to empty all the trash bins and replace the used towels. After I kept assuring her that she didn't need to, she still knocked on my door a minute later. When she hurriedly finished she told me to make sure I have the green light on everyday so she can tidy up. I also appreciated that she wore slippers. That is what us Asians do. Lol. My wife and I came for a recent trip for 12 days and we enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. We requested the housekeeping staff to clean our room every other day, and asked them to change the sheets midway through our trip and they did a good job. As part of our reservation, we got free breakfast buffet on their 1/F Restaurant "A Chef's Table", which was tasty and had a whole bunch of options. We didn't try any other hotel restaurants, or try the pool or other amenties. The hotel's wifi was pretty strong. Despite setting up thermostat, my wife was hoping the heat were be stronger in our room, while they weren't able to adjust the central air, they provided my wife a portable heater on her nightstand. While on previous trips we've stayed in North Point, we chose this hotel because Tseung Kwan O was an convienient location for seeing the relatives and friends for this trip. Within walking distance there were many food and shopping options, and we could see all of Hong Kong getting more busy as the borders were opening up, the New Territories still don't seem as busy being in the center of the Island or Causeway Bay or Tsim Sha Tsui. While in the NT, we were able to get wherever we needed to go pretty convieniently through MTR or bus. I didn't book the reservation but my wife said it was a pretty good deal. I'd recommend this hotel.

Popcorn mall is also connected with two nearby TKO malls. As for the hotel itself, my experience with staff have always been pleasant whether its with the front desk or the cleaning ladies. The lobby and elevators were always very clean (although elevators were a little tad slow). The rooms were also clean and spacious, some with a pretty good view of nearby parks/outdoor spaces. Overall was very quiet as well. The only thing about the rooms is that the shower water wasn't super hot. Staff responded to our concerns pretty quick and it got better. My room also featured a bathroom with a glass wall. There is an option to have blinds down (inside the bathroom) but because of the light on the other side of the room, you can still see inside the bathroom - just something to be aware if you're sharing the room. The gym was also very clean and pretty standard with equipment. I wish they had a bigger space for yoga mats/open space but I was able to find a little corner for myself. There is an outdoor pool that is going to reopen in April 2023. Breakfast buffet is another add on option. It featured a good range of Asian (esp Hong Kong style) and Western classics. It had your omelets, sausages, hot food, bread/cereal, but also had wonton noodles, congee with diff condiments/sauces, etc. Overall enjoyed my stay here with many reasons to recommend this hotel to others!

The location is so so good, you are right next to Langham Place, a fantastic mall with amazing architecture, and Mong Kok is pretty much in the center of Kowloon and a quick MTR ride to TST or HK island. You can walk across a sky bridge to Langham Place, and then access the MTR in the basement level. The service was geniunely over the top. The bellhops were amazing, they were so helpful and hard working. We asked for a taxi one time and there were none waiting, so he hailed one from the busy street for us! Another amazing service example, I was using a piece of paper for my mouse to work on the glass desk table, and when i came back later that day, the maid had replaced it with a Cordis mouse pad free of charge! Also everyday the maid would coil up all my phone charging cables with free of charge Cordis branded cable ties. We had the breakfast buffet and it was fantastic and had so much to offer, including a noodle bar, eggs benedict bar, dim sum, congee bar, HK milk tea and coffee, latte/cappucino made to order, etc. I could go on and on. The gym and pool is really nice, offering sweeping views of the city from the 41st floor while you work out. I pretty much will stay here everytime I visit HK in the future, I've found my Shangri-La!

Housekeeping keeps the room clean and well stocked. They offer twice a day service and anything extras (towels, tissues, etc.) are just a phone call away and delivered quickly. The rooms are comfortable (although ready for a refresh) and functional. Bathrooms are spacious and well stocked with amenities. If you book a Club room, you get access to a lounge on the 36th floor, with private check in and concierge service. There is lounge with mini buffet breakfast, afternoon tea snacks and drinks available throughout the day. We've stayed here a few times and have enjoyed every stay.

There are numerous amenities, which include indoor an indoor swimming pool, a well-equipped fitness center, along with squash courts, hot tubs, a children's pool, and a rock climbing wall. The lobby feels wide and has a number of references to God + Jesus in the form of quotes, passages, and statues all throughout the place. For church goers, this is likely a welcome sight. Just noting this for the rest of the non-Christians in case they feel like they're walking into a church. Lastly, they have a nice buffet setup with The Haven (#1), formally the Salisbury Dining Room. It's become one of the better hotel buffets in the area, offering a very good set of variety and taste. While I do wish the front staff could be warmer, I can't knock their efficiency. They get the job / task done, sometimes with minimal interaction which leads to the desired outcome minus the pleasantries. Considering how close the hotel is to the motorway, the rooms are quite quiet. They provide toiletries and boxed water, though no coffee/tea maker. Air filter machine in the room as well. Overall, a nice, reasonably priced hotel near the airport and Ngong Ping 360 (I could even see Ngong Ping 360 from my room).

We booked a 5 night stay at Dorsett Wanchai during our recent trip to HK but sadly the whole…read moreexperience was a letdown. The first thing to be aware of is that one side of the hotel faces the cemetery, so if you didn't book a Causeway Bay or racetrack view room, then you'll likely have a room that overlooks the cemetery. We were well aware of this from our research prior to booking, but it didn't bother us much so we decided to stick with the cemetery view and pay a little extra for the room with clear windows (as opposed to frosted windows which is a separate booking) to let more light in, and so we could look outside and feel less cooped up. However, when we got to our room, the windows were boarded up with textured glass panels and you could not see outside at all. We ended up going back down to the front desk to point out that this is not what we booked.  In my opinion, there was more back and forth between the front desk and the manager than there should have been. They kept stating that the room was correct and that the clear windows were just behind the paneling...and that most people just keep it closed because of the cemetery. We told them the paneling wasn't disclosed in the booking and we wanted to be able to look out the window. So the manager came up with us and tried to remove the paneling, but was only able to partially remove one of them. He told us they were fully booked out for the night but he will see what he can do. He later called to offer us complimentary breakfast for the stay as compensation for the incorrect room we got, but we declined as we were only in HK for a few days and wanted to get out and experience local cuisine. Not to mention, we didn't want to continue staying in a room where we couldn't look outside...so I asked again to be moved to a different room. After another call he informed us he could move us to a clear windowed room the following night, but since they were full for the night we'd have to stick it out one night which we agreed to.  We were told our luggage would be moved to the new room when ready, however instead we had to move everything ourselves. We first repacked everything, went down to return our keys when we were told to move our luggage to the new room, so we had to go back up, grab all the luggage, go back downstairs, return the old key and grab the new ones, and go all the way back up with our bulky luggages. We didn't get any compensation for the inconvenience as well as the fact that we were not provided the correct room type on our first night.  On top of all this, the carpets in the original room looked super dirty and stained. The shower door was also not flush with the rest of the glass..there was a gap towards the bottom which meant a ton of water leaked out onto the bathroom floor when we showered. We tried to soak it up with towels but there was just too much water, and it ended up tracking out into the entryway where I slipped and could've injured myself. Luckily, the carpet in our new room was much better, and the shower did not leak although it did have some problems with draining. Our newer room also felt more spacious as they made better use of the available space in terms of room design. Elevators were extremely slow and did not fit many people. Plan extra time when leaving your room in the morning, because some days we had to let multiple full elevators go by before we could fit in one. Even just waiting for one elevator sometimes took a few minutes. Lots of people checking out the hotel breakfast on the 2nd floor too in the mornings.  Our friends' room got a vending machine voucher for skipping room cleaning, but not sure why this wasn't offered to us as we did not have our room cleaned for our entire 5 night stay.  One plus was that flavored water and candy were available in the lobby afternoon which was a cute little perk. Location-wise, it's also  pretty close to a number of bus stops but you'll likely have to do a few bus/subway transfers if you're looking to venture out beyond Wan Chai.  Communal laundry is available and the dryer was actually powerful. You can only pay with Octopus card or WeChat pay though, and there are only 2 washers and 2 dryers.  Overall, it seems like there's a lot of inconsistencies between the cleanliness of their rooms and not sure how they can advertise clear windows when they're boarded up. Due to our experience staying here I would look elsewhere the next time I'm in HK.
