Their burgers are also delicious. We had the lamb and the cheeseburger and they were both on point. I would love to go back for the blue cheese burger. They also have pretty good lunch sets! Be sure to stop by and peruse through their selection of meats, spices, and wine!

It's a butcher shop/cheese shop/spice shop and they sell a little bit of wine and beer as well. Coming from the US, I miss being able to get good quality meat pretty quickly. When the wife stumbled upon it earlier she brought me when I got back from work. Their entire selection is organic, and well picked. New Zealand Lamb, pork from England, free range chicken from Hungary. They even make their own bacon and pate here. Seth, the guy behind the counter gave me a free slice and it was rich and melt in your mouth tender. We ended up buying a couple of chicken breasts which looked like well, chicken. I haven't seen a chicken here that wasn't a little gray and shady looking. I'm really looking forward to coming back to pick up some bacon and sausage or any of the other charcuterie they do in house. I was pretty happy moving here and because this place is close by, I'm even happier.

I'm a big fan of hotpot and as time goes by, I've been getting increasingly weary with going out…read morefor dinner: its expensive, the food offered is usually not the quality I expect and worst of all- I know for a fact that I can get a lot more for probably half of what I pay outside. This is how I started having hotpots at home, instead of spending loads of nice restaurants outside, I now go out and use the money to buy fresh and tasty food to enjoy at home. Leung Kau Kee is a butcher/ meat supplier on the second floor of the Taipo wet market. Its a relatively organized operation compared to the others with prepacked portions of meat everywhere; all stored in freezer cabinets or open air freezers. I am one with an eye for beef and the beef they supply is legendary with customers coming in all the way from Kowloon just to stock up no their weekly shopping. I think this explains that I can't be the only one who thinks they are on to something here. The meat products offered are not limited to beef but lamb and also other products usually only available at high end stores. They have a specific focus on BBQ and hotpt so do be careful what you pick out as they may not be interceded for that purpose. The shop also stocks up on sauces and condiments for BBQ and hotpot so you won't be going home empty handed. Prices are what I would describe as fair for such great quality.

The mash was not my cup of tea so I ordered the chips. They were served piping hot and were delicious. My steak was not cooked to temperature-I don't like to see blood running off my plate, so I sent it back to be cooked longer. When my steak came back it was still not cooked well done as requested; blood still circled my plate. This time I opted to eat the steak as is. It was served with a pepper sauce, I could have done without. I loved the restaurant concept; it's perfect date night. Service could use some work. It was challenging to get assistance once the meal was served. Overall, I'd say this restaurant was okay, but given the vast array of places to eat on Hong Kong island I don't think I'd return.
