It's a butcher shop/cheese shop/spice shop and they sell a little bit of wine and beer as well. Coming from the US, I miss being able to get good quality meat pretty quickly. When the wife stumbled upon it earlier she brought me when I got back from work. Their entire selection is organic, and well picked. New Zealand Lamb, pork from England, free range chicken from Hungary. They even make their own bacon and pate here. Seth, the guy behind the counter gave me a free slice and it was rich and melt in your mouth tender. We ended up buying a couple of chicken breasts which looked like well, chicken. I haven't seen a chicken here that wasn't a little gray and shady looking. I'm really looking forward to coming back to pick up some bacon and sausage or any of the other charcuterie they do in house. The mash was not my cup of tea so I ordered the chips. They were served piping hot and were delicious. My steak was not cooked to temperature-I don't like to see blood running off my plate, so I sent it back to be cooked longer. When my steak came back it was still not cooked well done as requested; blood still circled my plate. This time I opted to eat the steak as is. It was served with a pepper sauce, I could have done without. I loved the restaurant concept; it's perfect date night. Service could use some work. It was challenging to get assistance once the meal was served. Overall, I'd say this restaurant was okay, but given the vast array of places to eat on Hong Kong island I don't think I'd return.

Concept is simple: bring the food directly from the growers to the customers with as little middle person as possible and also to ensure freshness and quality, this is how they started, with focus on bringing prime quality meats and other delicacies into a small retail store so to ensure freshness. On location is also an open kitchen where you can have your purchased meats cooked to your liking, skipping the dishes at home. Both of our items for today were done perfectly, Chicken Caesar; fresh crisp Romaine with succulent Chicken and a crispy bacon, perfect item for lunch!! Steak & Eggs, on menu is hanger steak, but I was lucky to get a Rib-eye instead, as you can see from the photo the meat was done perfectly medium rare as I have requested.
