If you love oysters, fresh food then you should not miss this place…read more Ocean Three paved the way in Hong Kong in offering fresh seafood and fine meats at a discounted price- I mean discounted in the sense that you could pick up coffin bay oysters at 14 HKD each; not cheap by some countries standards but dirt cheap by how much restaurants and hotels charge you. Its innovative in the sense that you cannot dine in, even the shop itself is rather rudimentary- set in an industrial building you will not find it by just walking around. It is literally a warehouse location with a huge fridge and you just go there to pick up your orders. Apart from oysters, they offer sea urchin (a delicacy in these parts), prawns, scallops, crabs. Meat wise they offer fine angus beef steaks and lamb shanks. They do offer more but their menu is just too long to describe here; what I could say is that their prices are almost unbeatable though there are some new competition popping up around town in trying to share this growing market. The drawbacks of this place? well its not easy to find, if you don't drive then it is a bit of a trek to come pick things up, you have to shuck oysters yourself (NOT an easy task for the uninitiated) and more importantly; you have to order at least 2 days before so you have to plan ahead if you want to buy from them. I would say this though: for the price you pay and the quality they give you- its alright to plan ahead because they never let you down.

First time venturing out to the reconstructing Wan Chai Ferry Pier made it a hard one to find…read more After reaching the gateway to the ferry, Yamataka is situated right above it. The Hong Kong tsukiji or fish market is unique and a gem to the city's culinary culture. With a marketplace as its entrance, casual seating in the following section, then more formal sit down dining as the last section which gives view of both water and city. Sourcing select seafood from Japan and some other parts of the world, the live seafood and made to order dishes are superior in quality and fresh. The price is very reasonable and I only wish that I was able to frequent this place during my stay in Hong Kong. The retail market items are more costly than some other Japanese marts but the selection is also on par, offering Japanese products, fruits, drinks, and pre-packaged sushi and sashimi. There are hot food counters serving lobster rolls, foie gras, grilled seafood, meats and veggies. The sit down area is separated into two locations, one for only donburi and the other mainly sushi and sashimi. We were told that we could purchase anything throughout the front areas and bring it inside too. The seafood selection is amazing and the atmosphere is very attractive. We ended up at the very back where the best views were and the seafood proved to be top notch. The lunch specials include a soup, salad, and tea. The a-la-carte menu was also irresistible, so we had shared a few things here and there. Not only did the fish we ordered surprise my palate but also left my stomach satisfied. To end the experience on a sweet note, we decided to order the raindrop cake before leaving the fish market. While it wasn't as jiggly or tasty as I thought it would be, the subtle sweet flavor from the sugary syrup over the raindrop-esque blob was interesting to say the least. It is very similar to agar agar or a more solid jelly. Whatever the case, that's not on my list to try again but definitely Instagram worthy. I'm still dreaming of the fish from the market and will come back again when I get the opportunity.

If there is a rating of 10/5 I would give it a 10 . This was a complete surprise . We just wanted…read moreto experience the star ferry ride and then we found this gem neatly situated at the upper level of the star ferry pier station. As u enter , You will see different stalls that looked like a grocery . There are some restaurants offering seafood as well . We went further in the back and ended up getting the best view , we were seated at the very back with the ocean background . The waitress was super helpful to answer all my questions and recommended us the ones that would fit our needs . So we ordered everything we think that's good . Everyone gets their order whatever they're comfortable with . I'm so glad there's something at least my son would eat . So everybody is happy to order they want. Then the food came . Everyone loved what they're tasting. I thought the lobster was pale and so as the shrimp , but when we started to taste everything in the seafood platter, we were blown away . It literally looked so atypical shrimp / lobster made. Usually they cook it with butter and it's shiny and red. But this one looked that it wasn't cooked properly at all. But then I realized I was in a Japanese restaurant, they prepare seafood differently. I mean it's sweet, succulent, tasted fresh, it taste like it was just blanched but prepared perfectly. When we taste one particular dish everyone would say " oh my God, this is sooo good". I cannot express enough how good the food was. This by far is the best lobster and shrimp I ever had in my life. Everything is literally awesome . Now about the restaurant . The place is so clean , the staff are attentive and recommended some . I mean I cannot really make any negative comments in this restaurant . I found out in Hong Kong they don't charge u for tax . Which is even more awesome . For a party of 9 , we paid only $219 in USD and with all those yummy food I could've paid even more if it's here in US . I definitely recommend this restaurant . I think it's busy on dinner time . But u may come in anything . More power to u . I will definitely come back when I visit Hong Kong.

Their burgers are also delicious. We had the lamb and the cheeseburger and they were both on point. I would love to go back for the blue cheese burger. They also have pretty good lunch sets! Be sure to stop by and peruse through their selection of meats, spices, and wine!

It's a butcher shop/cheese shop/spice shop and they sell a little bit of wine and beer as well. Coming from the US, I miss being able to get good quality meat pretty quickly. When the wife stumbled upon it earlier she brought me when I got back from work. Their entire selection is organic, and well picked. New Zealand Lamb, pork from England, free range chicken from Hungary. They even make their own bacon and pate here. Seth, the guy behind the counter gave me a free slice and it was rich and melt in your mouth tender. We ended up buying a couple of chicken breasts which looked like well, chicken. I haven't seen a chicken here that wasn't a little gray and shady looking. I'm really looking forward to coming back to pick up some bacon and sausage or any of the other charcuterie they do in house. I was pretty happy moving here and because this place is close by, I'm even happier.
