This place used to be a wet market. Located between On Ting and Yau Oi, people in the neighborhood generally tend to lead an uncomplicated life here. However, its market has been renovated and now it has been "modernized" and now it has this rather fancy looking place inside the wet market.
I have to say that it has the typical Siu Mei place - meats hanging at the windows while dripping juices. There are not that many choices here. As one expects, you can choose from Cha Siu, chicken, duck all kind of Siu Mei and I am rather impressed with the price range. It is less than HKD$30 and if you are a student wearing school uniform - you are in luck as that only costs HKD$20 (How I wish I was still a student). Most people come here to order take away food; but there is a small place with air conditioning where you can sit and enjoy your meal there. Its décor is rather traditional which surprised me quite a lot frankly because most places here do not spend that much on its decoration. Anyways, this is definitely a nice place to have a quick meal. A place like this that is clean and its tasty food is hard to come by nowadays. And I am pretty glad that though this place has undergone renovation, this kind of traditional place still has a place here when all the old things are gone within a blink of eye these days. read more
