A male waiter with glasses saw me but didn't even bother to acknowledge me. When I stopped him and asked, "Do we need to wait for a table for two?", he just held up his hand and said, "Wait a minute." Then we waited for a long time with no attention at all. Later, we found out we just needed to check in on the self-service kiosk--something that could've been explained in one simple sentence. About an hour later, I wanted to go to the bathroom and ran into that same waiter again. I asked him where the bathroom was, and he just said "Wait a minute" once more. Fortunately, a female waiter standing next to him helped me out--she was actually very nice. However, I could clearly tell that the male waiter treated customers who spoke Cantonese much better: he'd put on a smile for them but immediately turned cold when facing us. I was so angry I wanted to slap him. Let me remind you--this is a restaurant that charges an extra service fee! How dare they take my money and treat me like this? Do they think they can get away with mistreating customers? The food was just average anyway, and the wait was way too long. Plus, there's a chance you'll run into this rude waiter who clearly has no intention of improving. I think it's better to avoid this place altogether. The other waitstaff were okay, especially that female waiter with glasses.

The Causeway Bay location is very close to the MTR exit and operates on a walk-in-only basis with no reservations. There's a kiosk by the entrance where you simply enter the number of people in your party, and it prints out a ticket with your queue number. A screen displays the table sizes and the numbers currently being called, making the whole process easy to follow. While waiting, we looked through the menu and eventually ordered one of their set dinners. It came with two soups, main items, drinks, an appetizer, and two desserts. Of course, we had to try their signature white curry pork chop plus baked pork chop tomatoes rice which were both flavorful and satisfying. The appetizer, which was similar to Thai-style pork neck, was surprisingly good. It had a slightly chewy yet pleasantly crisp texture that worked really well. For drinks, we got the pomelo sour plum beverage, which was refreshing and balanced, along with a durian smoothie that was excellent and rich in flavor. Dessert included a chocolate lava cake and durian ice cream, both of which were enjoyable and a nice way to finish the meal. The entire meal came to around HKD 340, or roughly USD 45, which was great price for everything we ordered. As a bonus, the cashier even gave us a small bottle of their famous satay sauce to take home.

But the hostess said if we are fast, she can seat us. I particularly like their sausages in various forms. This time I fancied the osso bucco which is getting hard to find. He had the sausages. I forgot the osso gets a bit overladden with tomato, marrow was good. Sausages were fine, perhaps "home made". The Grappa's salad is always excellent. This is a favorite of mine. You can usually sit solo at the bar any time. And through the years, their sausages have been outstanding.
