This branch is a little more concealed since it's inside the Yah Oi Tong Community and Sports Centre, so only mostly locals know of it. I both love and hate the chlorine smell that hits me when I enter the building but you can't really smell it once you're in the cafe. Sometimes you see kids who just finished swimming leave the building.
Although the location is a bit more conspicuous, there's always people eating here. Good thing there are a lot of table and seats. I love how they change up the menu for different times of the day: breakfast, lunch, dinner. There's a huge menu on the wall (with English and pictures) so it's quite easy for non chinese readers. The food are also all sets so when you order, you can just say set A or whatever it is you want. For cafe de coral, you order and pay first and then you give your paper order to the kitchen to prepare. If you're ordering it to go, you don't need to give them the paper, just wait for your number to be called.
I personally think the breakfast menu is a little bland like the stir fry noodles, macaroni, and scrambled eggs. But I guess it's good for the first meal of the day. I think their milk tea is too rich/bitter for me though. Cafe de coral is the first time I saw sticky rice with a whole chicken wing in it, haha. Anyway, this is an affordable place for some quick fuel! read more
