Went here twice for breakfast on my trip to Hong Kong. This is one of many restaurants in a local chain that is best compared to the US chain Panera, but at a Hong Kong pace. There is usually a sizable line, but it went fast, under 5 minutes. There are a plethora of options with small variations in each breakfast set. I found it easiest to point to which one I wanted instead of listing all of the components. Numbers were assigned to some of the popular sets, but not all. After paying (cash only, of course) you bring your receipt to the counter to pick up your items that takes about 1-2 minutes. Finding a seat can be challenging and you might end up sharing a table. The patrons seemed nice enough and often offered a spot for those looking for one. Luckily there were empty tables when I ate there. The staff were very efficient clearing tables once patrons left.
The HK style milk tea here was my favorite. The tea intensity was just right so that nothing had to be added.
I tried the fish filet with the silver pin noodle soup combo. Fish had a light, flaky texture with a crisp bread crumb crust. Soup had flavorful broth (chicken based) with a few pieces of meat and vegetables scattered between the noodles. Noodles were softer than they appear to be and were short enough to fit several in your mouth in one bite.
I also tried the noodle, congee and pork bun set. Congee was hearty and packed with flavor. Pork bun was fluffy soft and had a good amount of pork filling. Noodles were standard, but satisfying.
I'm likely to stop by one of the locations on my next trip to try the other things they have to offer. read more
