    Passionfruit Pineapple Soda
    C + P's Big Adventure ..

We did the $99 lunch combo and loved it! The Passionfruit Pineapple soda was to die for. We upgraded the fries to Circus Fries and were not disappointed. Would highly recommend them. The location is perfect--right off of the Mid-Level Escalators. We went on a gloomy wet day and it felt extremely cozy inside. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a great experience all the way around!

Seems that all the trendy new burger spots in HK these days are emulating the iconic American In-N-Out chain. And I for one am not complaining! But, you will pay the price - a burger, fries, and a drink will cost about 5x as much as you'd pay at In-N-Out. Ouch... welcome to Hong Kong! The Burger Circus is modeled after a classic American diner. It's super cute, and the seating is quite comfy with its plush booths. Ever notice how a lot of the restaurant and bar seating in HK is backless and subsequently gets quite uncomfortable? It's so nice to be able to sink into a booth and relax during a meal for a change. Onto the food - the menu focuses on burgers, classic sides like fries, onion rings, and buffalo wings, and.... milkshakes! I didn't try a milkshake this time, but I've got my eye on the pie shake. Yes, you read that right: a PIE SHAKE. I ordered a combo meal which included the Circus Burger (5-oz beef patty, crispy bacon, onions, Wisconsin cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and Circus sauce), fries, and my choice of soda. Feeling the vintage ambiance, I had the cream soda which definitely took me back to those sweet summery days of childhood. But the burger - wow! I thought the juicy 5-oz patty made for the perfect portion, and the melty cheese, thousand island-based Circus sauce, and legitimately crispy bacon tasted 100% all-American. In other words: my ideal version of comfort food. The fries were also perfect! Probably the best fries I've had in HK so far, and the upgrade to the Circus fries (onions, cheese, and Circus sauce) was a wise investment. Dare I say it? These were better than the animal-style fries at In-N-Out. But don't take my word for it - go see for yourself! I for one will be back... there's a certain milkshake calling my name.

And more burger places! While Butcher's Club Burgers is becoming the gold standard for what burger places should be like, numerous new joints have been popping up all over HK. Recently, I came across Burger Circus. The place is small but conveniently located, on Hollywood road, right underneath the escalators to Soho. And like others have mentioned, they are going for a retro American diner vibe, and the effort is visible: all the takeaway bags are covered in their logos, they have the slightly whimsical decor and candy shopesque front bar. My complaint is the music, it is really a bit circus-y and loud. Do not come if you have a hangover or a headache, the music will contribute to the throbbing in your head! Back to the point though, the burgers are actually very decent and well worth a try. Each item are made to order and will burn your tongue if you dig in immediately. The 5oz patty is well grounded so the texture isn't the meaty tough type but more of the crumbly and very juicy sort. I actually prefer this type to the Butchers club type cuz I'm a lazy chewer and don't mind less meat flavor for a softer bite. Both are good honestly, so to each his/her own. The fries are crisp on delivery and the circus fries are soaked in the secret circus sauce, which is a chili mayo. But you gotta eat them first out they get soggy real quick. My only complaint ( besides music volume) is the soda. It's all homemade, which is admirable, but my ginger soda was bland and tasted sugar free, like a soda water with a barely there ginger juice in it. I don't think it was an attempt to be healthy cuz there's no point doing that at a burger joint. My brother's cola was fine though, so just that one. I recommend the burgers nonetheless, for takeout or when your head doesn't hurt.

Keep'en it simple, but keep'en it real.

Excellent Excellent Excellent ! This tiny little hard to find 4 table burger joint is just what I needed after a week in mainland China. I don't eat Chinese food or even any derivative of Chinese food. I ordered a plain hamburger with some French fries... And Circus Beer. It's difficult to get a "perfect" rating on a plain hamburger. I considered that it might have been because I hadn't eaten a real meal in a week, so I went back. The "perfection" rating held up after two visits. The beer was excellent, I like American race car beer, and Circus was served in an almost frozen glass and paired perfectly with the burger and fries. I'm 8000 miles away and I'm still thinking about it. It's not easy to find this place, so stay focused. They are very convenient to the moving elevated sidewalks (escalators) so once you find them, just keep heading up the hill until you find Hollywood.

The shit! Best burger I have get had in my life, the flavor is beyond and trust me that I do understand about food! Highly recommended

Quite disappointing. The burger was mediocre. Fries were decent. I don't think I'd ever go back even if I was wasted.

This place is fast food style, so you place your order at the front and find an empty table. When we came during the lunch hour, it was quite busy so either take this to-go or be prepared to wait for an empty seat. The menu is quite simple. The most popular options seemed to be the set meals, which is actually a pretty good size to share amongst 2 people for a light lunch. We tried their banh mi set. The only thing that was Viet-fusion about this banh mi was their pickled daikon and carrots, even the bun wasn't the typical banh mi bun. But sall good, still tasted yummy anyways! The meat is marinated in a Korean style marinade and the sandwich is loaded with tons of kimchi. The spicy corn and cheese fries the set came with were good - nice small side to make your meal less boring. We also tried their Seoulade... this is a gigantic drink and def worth it! You'll be peeing buckets if you end up chugging this. Super refreshing during the hot summer months. This place is def a good option for when you want a quick bite and are wanting to try something different in the area!

Why wouldn't Korean fusion hit Hong Kong? I was expecting more of the same Korean/Mexican stuff,…read morebut it's an interesting take on Korean fast food. I usually like Set A, which when combined with an additional order of Kimchi fries is meal enough for two. I know Set A comes with fries, so why order another set of fries? Because 1) It's a different kind of fries, and 2) they're really good and adding bacon to is worth the 5 dollars. The regular fries themselves aren't too bad. You remember the old school nacho cheese? They put that on the plain fries here. I'm not a big fan of corn, but the corn salad here is just the right amount of sweet and a little spice that it's something I fight over and not something I just give away. The banh mi looks small but it's filling and the bulgogi is not overly sweet-which brings back memories of some pretty bad barbecues. Definitely another item that's worth getting multiple times. Their lemonade is pretty good even though it's basically a mix of 7up and lemon juice-it's still a pretty giant drink that will probably leave you in a diabetic coma. To top it off, the banana milk ice cream is a must get, try to save room for it.

We devoured the rest. The pizza was yum. For what you can find in HK, this was a good one. Cheese and tomato sauce tasted like Stateside pizza on a cracker-like crust. The ribs were falling off the bone. One quarter of the ribs was more bones than meat, kinda sad. The burger is as tall as ones head. We shared it , but I was the one who ate most of it. It's really a burger to be eaten in layers or with an unhinged jaw.

If you do not know how to go to this place, notice that it is located right next to Butterfly On Hollywood Boutique Hotel. It is just around the corner. This is an Italian restaurant and its burgers taste like heaven! I have to say that it is among the same level as the Burgeroom in Causeway Bay but slightly fancier than just a burger joint. Since its alcohol license is still under application period. You can now bring your own drinks. (7-11 is just close by if you don't mind people looking at you weird). The interior design is rather cozy with red bricks on the wall and wooden stools next to the bar. It is definitely a nice place to chill with your friends and colleagues. On the menu there are over a dozen of different burgers and the price range is between HKD$100 to HKD$200. At first I was rather taken back by the price but after trying it I would say I was rather pleased with it. I tried the Number 1 Burger mainly because I did not want to spend that much and I was not sure about its quality since it was new. It was made of Wagyu beef, cheese and relish. Later it was served on a rather huge chopping board and I was surprised how big this burger was! The paddy was juicy and very thick with nice tenderness. The buns were too very delicious. Overall I am definitely coming back in a month to try out other dishes!
