What a great find in Hong Kong! Having had traditional Cantonese food for lunch, but it being our last night, we wanted something "Asian" but quick, cheap and delish. The magic of yelp led us to Seoul Bros and it didn't disappointment. It's above an awesome graffiti mural so you may think you've walked past it but just look up :). The menu is straight-forward. We all opted for a bibimbap, which is a rice with a lot of deliciousness and scrambled eggs on top. I had the tofu option (which are fried) and hubs got beef. The hot sauce really made it for me. I also loved the spicy corn which was really spicy! I mixed it in my bibimbap - yum!! The hubs loved the kimchi fries and man oh man, the limeade soda was amazing. FYI, it's HUGE! At least 24 oz. While the venue is very clean and well decorated, it only seats 10ish patrons. Being Hong Kong, there were a few flies buzzing around but the service, platters, tables were all clean. Won't lie to you.. I wish we had one in the states bc I'm craving it now!

FINALLY a reasonably priced good meal in Central! Had to check this place out as soon as I heard about it, and everything was really really good, especially the prices. I had the Chicken (Korean fried of course) Banh Mi, which had a great balance between the fried chicken and picked radish and the best baguette I've had in HK. Finally a place that has got the bread right! Slight crunchy to the crust, but light and not chewy. I want to take a few of these home for my own sandwiches. I split an order of the sweet and spicy Chicken (again Korean fried of course) which was mixed with Korean rice cakes. I usually don't like rice cakes as they're too chewy, but these were slightly crispy on the outside which I enjoyed. We finished with the traditional banana ice cream because... well, it was free, and you can't say no to that! My friend and I agreed, everything was delicious and it's a great addition to the area. We'll be back.

I woke up with a vicious hangover and a text from a friend asking if I was around for brunch. My immediate state said, 1) Ravenous. 2) greasy food is required. 3) I'd turned on "Chef" as some light tv as I debated what to do - I wanted a sandwich. Relaying these thoughts to my friend she suggested Seoul Bros. By Jove, she got all those things in one. Seoul Bros is the PERFECT hangover cure. We rocked up and sadly the kitchen was still preparing for the day. In my hungover state, I popped my head in and enquired if they could open a bit early. The very kindly obliged as what we wanted was prepped and ready. We ordered the chicken banh mi and kimchi fries. The banh mi was exactly what the hangover gods ordered. Tender Korean fried chicken topped with pickles and secret sauce in between crispy bread. I. Was. In. Heaven. Add in the kimchi fries and you could put a fork in me as I was done. The fries were smothered in kimchi (tick for that tangy spicy flavour) and drowned in that American fake cheese sauce. Hells yes. The perfect start to my day - although, the kimchi flavoured burps following stuck around a bit too long. Tip, brushing your teeth numerous times does not help. Drinking more wine does.

Discovered this place on the way to Edition because I was wanting some Kimchi Fries (I miss Chi'lantro BBQ back in Austin TX). Noticing that this place has it on the menu and only recently opened I decided to give it a try, after all it gives an excuse to write another review rather than stick with the same stuff (variety is a spice of life they say). Anyway, it turned out my detour was actually worth it as the kimchi fries was actually good (as of this writing there's 3 places that do it that I know of). And also the wrapper they used is kind of cool if you can read Korean. The only thing that I could see that could change is probably some soju cocktails and Korean beers. (Maybe credit cards too.. But Octopus is fine). But I guess the place was still in soft launch mode so I won't deduct a star for that.

I visited the place after reading some recommendations from instagram food bloggers. This is a trendy little store located at the Hollywood Road. It is more like a Korean-styled fast food outlet than a Korean restaurant for me as there aren't as much food choices available. I got the fried chicken and the kimchi fries. Both of them actually tasted pretty good. I loved the sweet and sour sauce covering those freshly fried chicken as well as the cheesy kimchi fries! It's such a pity that I was already full after finishing both items. But if I was not, I would have gone for the banana-milk flavoured ice cream. That was absolutely tempting for a Korean banana milk lover like me! The location is a bit inconvenient for me being far away from MTR station.

Whoa whoa whoa, let's not get carried away by the hype... Seoul Bros is good, but not great. Sure it's cheaper than a lot of places in central, and yes their unofficial motto might be "twice the portions at half the price", but Ebeneezers is cheap too. Don't get your expectations up - beef in the bibimbap is pretty much the quality you would expect for that price while the KFC was mostly skin & batter. The best thing about Seoul Bros is that it is an attractive alternative to Ebeneezers and Burger Circus for late night food after lots of drinking.

Great service and great food. I had the beef banh mi and the Kimchi fries. The bread on the banh mi was great. My brother had the quesadilla. He was not very impressed..

    Chicken Banh Mi

***Korean place with Vietnamese twist*** While Seoul Bros is officially a Korean place, I was definitely happy to see some Vietnamese touch i.e. Banh Mi sandwiches and the meat inside them was Korean Style. We went a little crazy having a large number of dishes from Seoul Bros- - Shrimp Bibimbap - Chicken Quesadilla - Chicken Banh Mi - Soft Shell Crab Banh Mi - Sweet and Spicy Chicken SHRIMP BIBIMBAP is like an entire meal in itself! It's rice with generous amounts of Shrimp, egg, cheese, corn, spring onions and coriander (optional). All these ingredients come together to deliver an AWSOME taste. The quantity should be enough for one person. CHICKEN QUESADILLA was also quite good, the tortilla was well toasted but still soft enough for me to enjoy(generally, I don't like if the tortilla becomes too crunchy and too flaky). CHICKEN BANH MI SANDWICH and SOFT-SHELL CRAB BANH MI SANDWICH were excellent!!I would say the taste/texture of the Banh Mi bread was similar (but not exactly same) to what I've experienced in some of the Authentic Vietnamese places in Hong Kong (e.g. Banh Mi Kitchen, Viet Kitchen, etc.). If a Korean place can deliver that kind of Banh Mi bread, then I'm pretty happy as a customer. Now, the meat - in both the sandwiches, the Chicken and the Crab meat were in Korean style and they were SUUUPER TASTY I asked for radish to be added to both and that just enhanced the overall taste. In my opinion, the Banh Mi is the star of this restaurant's menu

The trendy korean joint is just opening in SOHO on Peel Street at Hollywood Road. Open until 2am on weekends, it should offer some much needed late night variety to the area. Created by three friends who attended the University of Chicago, the menu includes Bahn Mi sandwiches, kimchi fries, hot and spicy chicken (The Chicken), bibimbap, and assorted sides. I ordered a set meal with beef bibimbap, hot and spicy chicken, and a soda for $78HKD. The chicken was crispy and well flavored and spiced. The bibimbap had the perfect amount ingredients on top to give a flavorful punch. As this was a soft opening, the owners we very attentive and offered us some complimentary banana ice cream during our (short) wait. The ice cream offered a nice finish to our night.

Had a crazy crazy craving for chicken wings. This place didn't have chicken with the bone, but the chicken came with fried rice cakes! definitely was surprised by that. had a great crunch while being drenched (in a good way) with the sweet snd spicy sauce. The Sangria also took me by surprise, wasn't expecting it in a kind-of takeaway/fast food Korean fusion place. Would definitely come back here!

Branded as Korean American gastropub, surely I wanted to try both their drinks and food. The happy hours menu is off the chart - they had 27 different drinks including beer, wine, liquors, soju cocktails (and I'll explain why I know the count so precisely...). If you check in to Yelp you got a free popcorn chicken per table too, boom. Free stuff is always the best stuff, and the popcorn chicken was actually very good and we ended up ordering another dish. Now on a chill evening of the last day of the a long weekend, we shouldn't really be drinking too much. But then, when the first round of drinks arrived, we were kind of skeptical about the portion of soju actually added to the cocktails. We blamed that to the Appleju where the apple juice masking the taste of the alcohol. But when we ordered the Sparkling Citron and they were still kinda of more like mocktails than cocktails, we quite shamelessly asked the staff if they could put more soju/liquors in our next round of drinks. I know, it's only $38 after all... Back to the food. They were amazing. Kimichi fries was good, and from a person who actually doesn't like kimchi AT ALL, this compliment does carry a lot of weight. We tried also the spicy fried chicken wings (not spicy enough), the salt and pepper wings (VERY GOOD), cheesy kimchi sliders (good, and again from the mouth of someone who doesn't like kimchi). Three hours passed right in front of five of us, as if the time went quicker when you were sitting at the chillaxing front door table. The drinks got better (i.e. stronger) afterwards which was definitely a plus. One of our friends wanted to challenge to finish all the drinks on the happy hour menu but we only managed to go through the right half of it. But I wouldn't complain at all having 20 cocktails in total among five of us and still managed to get down to HKD$350 per person, including the food we had.

The chef is a homegrown Hongkie however has studied food in both LA and Seoul, so the fusion food that is served here really hits the spot for me as I have a similar mix. The highlights of the evening: CHICKEN WINGS! The wings are smothered full of flavor, cripsy, juicy and overall deliciousness. I just wish they had more of it! Check out Wings Monday which is only $5HKD per wing with every drink purchase. Bulgogi Sliders- also delicious. High in flavor and raw garlic and jalapenos make this tasty slider packed with a punch. I perfer even more heat with more chili, but that is easily solved by just asking for some extra jalapeno. Kimchi Grilled Cheese- so easy yet so satisfying. Grilled with two types of cheese and layered with kim chi, this really sings comfort food for me. You can add an assortment of things to the sandwich, including fried egg- perfect. I also got to try some of the special homemade Korean spicy sauce and Siracha mayo- delicious. The drinks- they have Soju infused cocktails that are sure to please. Chili Mango, Yuzu, Milkis are all quite unique. Want the whole bottle straight up? No problem- very reasonable in price. Soju not your thing? They have a regular wine, beer and cocktails list too. Chef tells me they will be having some cool happy hour deals too so stay tuned. Overall, love this small cozy space. I am a huge fan!

(#1) The Moyo brand has since grown into a number of other projects that have spanned across the city but it all started right here in Central. Like any of restaurant in the neighborhood, seating is tight. The government restrictions over the last couple of years have made it even tighter, resulting in discounted delivery through various local platforms. Indoor dining is back again, but one never truly knows when a future shutdown is happening. The food has remained high end, seasonal, and completely different from the usual dining options in HK. Whether it's been seasonal truffle tofu-toasts, carbonara infused tteokboki, or their winter friendly Korean style sashimi (bang-eo hwae), it's all very good. A personal favorite is their uni rice, which is quite modest in portion size (#2) but straight bangin' in flavor and texture. And unlike many other Korean restaurants, they have a nice Italian selection of wine that pairs quite well with the dishes. While it's been marketed as a fusion establishment, they also do a very good job in representing traditional options as well. Their bossam ssam plate with samgyupsal (pork belly) is tasty and while not always available, jajangmyun is a nice comfort food option. While I no longer live in Hong Kong to enjoy them, I still applaud their efforts from afar. Kimchi pork pancake (minus the pork): I'm ALWAYS a fan of kimchi pancake. Even though the pancake could stand to be a teeny bit more crispy at the ends, I loved the kimchi flavor. Brussels Sprouts (Korean dwaenjang paste, almonds, peanut butter): This was stir fried and not roasted as I originally thought it would be. I'm not really a fan of stir fried brussels sprouts but it was interesting with the peanut butter taste which I could barely detect because the dwaenjang paste was stronger. The dishes here were more tapas size and I'm glad we ordered that many dishes. Service was on point and friendly. Moyo is a small and cozy restaurant (you're almost elbow to elbow) with a typical tiny bathroom.
