I came for a quick lunch during work, and since my throat wasn't feeling so good, I went with their winter melon "soup rice" (瓜粒湯飯).
Their set meals come with a free drink, hot, or cold, and the rice comes piping hot. My colleague can't say the same about her grilled chicken steak with rice, which was tepid by the time it reached her table, but I was having enjoying my soup rice. The soup was flavourful, with a mild sweetness from the winter melon, which was served in small chunks and cubes. There were also cubes of meat, which were surprisingly tender and succulent. The rice also came with mushrooms and imitation crab sticks.
The tea was hot, and strong, with more than mouth slice of lemon should you choose to have your lemon tea Hong Kong style.
For $52, I'd say this was a reasonably priced meal, you could do better, you could do a lot worse. I appreciated how filling this was. read more
