We had dinner here the second last night in our short HKG stayover before the cruise. This place is relatively new, and it's a winner. It's up on the second floor in a small 'mall' in Tsim Sha Tsui, but there are signs at the ground level. They are known for fusion Cantonese (the 'classic' part of their name) and "South Sea" cuisine (code for Malay or Singapore-influenced fare, and the 'paradise' part). This is their newest addition, with the original being in Olympian City (they have a sister chain called "Paradise Dynasty").
The first thing that impressed were the delicious boiled marinated peanuts that they bring to you before you even order. They were SO good (or we were so hungry) we asked for another (which eventually we didn't finish of course :D) Service was helpful and friendly. We ordered some classics as well as home-styled dishes they you don't usually find at fancier restaurants (the steamed minced pork with salted duck egg yolk, for example). The only slight blemish was that the sea cucumbers in the stew (most expensive dish of the evening) could have used another 45 minutes of tenderizing cooking. I'd recommend giving them a try! read more
