I have walked by Owa before and had been intrigued by their lunch special, which I still need to try. We wanted to hang out in Abbot Kinney and we were in the mood for sushi, so we made a last minute reservation. This is a very long/deep restaurant with three rooms. The first room is more of the bar with views of Abbot Kinney for people watching. The next room is outdoors, and the innermost has some tables and some sushi bar seating. We were in the innermost room, the bar seating had purse hooks but the tables did not, so the waiter let me use one of the chairs in the unused table behind me for my purse. We decided to split the spicy garlic edamame, the tuna love, the Kinney, and the Tokyo time rolls. Do not sleep on the spicy edamame, the bowl came out steaming with the most delectable almost jammy consistency sauce on the edamame which we really liked. Of the rolls, the Kinney was my favorite but I really liked the crispy rice base of the Tokyo time as well. Their cocktail menu looked amazing and when we are in the mood for a fun cocktail I would definitely want to sit in the first room and enjoy some drinks. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely return.

We dined here, as part of our Red Dining Book LA experience, and loved it! It was our first time back since the Wabi Saba days (I was glad to hear that they hired most of the old staff back!). I had the Seabass Crudo (Branzino), and I think my husband had cod. Both were delicious! He was raving about his. Our waitress was very attentive. The ambiance was good (I LOVE the wooden bar with the live edge!) I think we'll try to come back to sit at the bar next time.

amazing sushi spot!! such a great vibe inside with a lovely large bar and a cute semi-outdoor patio. I have been wow-ed every time I come. This time I came for Dine LA and I must say, it is a very good deal! For $25 you get 3 courses. I chose the akami tuna crudo, kinney roll, and matcha tiramisu. everything was DELICIOUS. Thick, fresh cuts of fish and the dessert was unique and lovely. We added on japanese pancakes since they recently started a breakfast menu and they were also very tasty. Service was fast and attentive. Overall a very solid spot!

I have come here a couple of times. They have a great happy hour to start. We came for dinner with a large group - the cocktails are always great. We also got some edamame to share, easy. I got the albacore carpaccio which was yummy and the fish quality was good. My friend got the chicken karaage as she doesn't eat fish and I do have to say this was delicious as well. Great experience.

Everything was excellent!! The ambiance was very romantic, perfect for a date or if you want to feel relaxed. We went for my boyfriend's birthday & the waitress paid very nice attention to detail. It was the best sushi I've ever had!!

Wow! When in Venice ... this could be our new favorite hangout, happy hour that is. Excellent prices on the fresh sushi, yellowtail, salmon, crispy rice with truffle, we had to order that twice... The service is outstanding 5+ My recommendation go early. We were fortunate to get there at 4:30 and then the place just went wild. We sat at the bar which is the best place in my opinion. You really get incredible service. We loved the ice cold, super cute, bottled water that came out to us. This place is happening with a capital H !!!! Keep it up "OWA" don't ever change

Went here back in January with some friends and loved it! Atmosphere was very cool with low lighting and neat decorations, the building just keeps going back. Will have to come back to just experience the bar area--very interesting shape! The one thing I'd say is it was a bit loud during the meal, so we had some trouble hearing each other. The food was all excellent. We shared some rolls, as well as the miso eggplant (my personal favorite). Would definitely go back to try some more dishes here!

I've driven by this spot a few times and everytime it looks super vibey. We made a reservation for a weeknight and got sat right away. The dark, neon lights, and live music definitely gives this place a good aesthetic. For cocktails, I loved the Venus on The Half Pipe. The habanero had a good kick to it. For sushi rolls, our favorite was the Soul Roll and Tuna Love. I was disappointed in the Wagyu Truffle. The presentation was great but the roll itself lacked flavor and had too much cucumber. The Chu Toro Crudo is a great starter to share. Overall, cute spot but a little pricey. I'd recommend checking out the happy hour menu which is served at the bar only.

Leaving better than we came in.

What a LOVELY EXPERIENCE. The way food and dining should be! I LOVE sushi and definitely have a standard for how it should taste, look, and feel. And Owa got it right. Not only is every inch of this place dripping in beauty and authenticity, but the whole ambiance is an experience. The service was great! And the kitchen staff were super cool. Definitely one of my most memorable experiences. Would def recommend.

3.5/5. Very busy restaurant in Venice on a Saturday night. Took the old space of Wabi. I thought the food was okay but not great. It's pretty expensive for what it is but if you're looking for vibes/scene and okay food then this is your place. The sushi/sashimi were just okay and surprisingly the best thing we had was the branzino.

One of the best sushi spots I've had a in a while actually. We didn't really do any appetizers and went straight in for the fish. Started off with a couple of hand rolls, we did the crab hand roll and O toro hand roll. Crab hand roll wasn't as impressive, I've had better to be honest. I didn't let that experience ruin it for me because the toro hand roll was delicious. I think they add a piece of mint and it complimented the hand roll. Very crunchy nori wrapper and good rice to fish ratio. For our sushi we started with chu toro tuna, salmon belly, and halibut. Super fresh melt in your mouth quality. Halibut was interesting with the truffle, first time definitely won't be the last. We ended it with red snapper and black snapper. Absolutely amazing, I think the black snapper or the red snapper was slightly charred. It was so good. To say the least, this restaurant was worth it!

Nice of the chef to switch out roe for halibut for me on my omakase. However, probably the worst omakase I've ever had. No creativity, nothing felt premium, chewy fish, flavors didn't mesh, and half of it was salty. The miso soup wasn't scorching, which i appreciated at first but that meant the last few sips were fairly room temp. The real crab handroll was good. If the price point was $35 sushi set I'd give 5/5 but this is supposed to be premium omakase. I've been to other Sushi Enya locations and had good experiences, so this was very disappointing. Stick to the rolls and nigiri.

From the very first bite, you could tell the quality was on another level. Every piece of fish tasted unbelievably fresh--like it had just come off the boat a couple of hours earlier. It's rare to find sushi that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate how clean, buttery, and flavorful it is. The salmon sashimi absolutely melted in my mouth and was one of the best I've had in a long time. The tuna was just as impressive, rich with incredible texture and freshness. Every roll and every piece of nigiri was prepared with so much care that it reminded me why I love sushi in the first place. You can really tell they take pride in the quality of their ingredients, and it shows in every bite. The experience went beyond just the food. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and had the perfect sushi spot vibe.
