The food was great. I really enjoyed the piri piri chicken. The curry cabbage had a good flavor.

The lamb was tender and melted off the bone, the fufu was soft and hearty, and the plantains were scrumptious. The restaurant itself was very very clean, service was fast, and the bathrooms were spotless. I can't understand why it took me so long to try Hady's, but this will quickly become a staple.

We made the trek from the north side of town over and it was worth it. The place is immaculately clean and the menu is an extensive list of cuisine from all over the world. From Jamaica to Ghana and place in between. I know this could be a difficult balance to strike, but it was done well. I ordered the oxtails with rice and peace and plantains. The order was a nice size but I do feel the oxtails portion could have been bigger. Lots of sauce but not a lot of meat. The seasoning on it was very well done. Spicy but not too spicy. Well balanced. I enjoyed it along with my well portioned sides. The person with me got jollof rice and chicken. They said the rice was good and the grilled onion on top of the chicken was perfect. The chicken wasn't to their personal taste but looked well portioned and prepared. They also had a variety of bottled drinks to choose from like mango and hibiscus drinks. I would go back.

We bought one of each and my only regret is that I didn't buy more than one of each. Unfortunately he was all out of one of them, I don't remember the name, but seriously, ask for the apple pie juice. He'll know what you're talking about. It's like little miracles dancing on your tongue! The food! The card I grabbed on my way put says "Serving good & wholesome food is our passion" and my goodness can you tell! We're from Los Angeles, CA, but I promise you, this place is worth the drive! Thank you Eric for the best blend of French & Senegalese food!!!

I had never tried Senegalese food before, but I saw lots of options that looked great on the menu. I ended up choosing the Chicken Yassa, which is marinated, roasted chicken legs over a bed of rice, served with plantains and mixed vegetables. The chicken was so super tender and flavorful, and went really great with the vegetables, which had just a little spice. They also have some really tasty juice and drink options. I really liked the juice I tried, made from the baobab tree. It was creamy and had a great sweet flavor. The owner was very nice and helpful as I decided what to get. Definitely check this place out (and also the other vendors in Blue Dogwood). This is a really great way to get some delicious global cuisine while supporting local restaurants close to Franklin St. (as a side note, it has it's own parking lot too, so you don't have to pay or search for parking along Franklin St. Always a good thing! They also have a really nice patio area).

Our server said he usually served as the bartender, but on this light business night he was handling our table. They stressed that that the dishes were not spicy, but when they heard we love our food to have a little zip to elevate the flavor, he proceeded to bring out a few homemade sauces that were just right. Everything we had was excellent in every way. I'm writing this a week afterward so I'm not going to get into the specifics since I might not recall them with enough clarity. All I can say is that when we passed by the area again driving back from the Christmas holidays, we checked and they were closed, otherwise we would have returned. It seems to be a family run business and we thanked the chef before leaving and "mama" came out from the kitchen and gave us a hug on our way out. Wish I could go back soon, but we live in Florida, so we don't pass by that area often.

When I arrived had to wait about 10mins, not bad. Great decor and it's very spacious with lots of seating. The Okra soup with goat and fufu and 2 Oxtail patties. The Okra soup was really good, I like it spicy so added some of the pepper sauce I was offered. Different cultures makes fufu and tis was the first time having the African version, it was good. Oxtail Patties was the star, really flavorful and has a nice crisp, I also added a bit of the pepper sauce...delicious. A bit on the pricey side so if you're looking for something economical this is not it. I enjoyed the meal and it was enough to share with a 2nd person if needed, if you're doing that though I would suggest adding another fufu.
